Your worst meal @ WDW and your best meal @ WDW...

Best food- Shula's
Best Atmosphere and Service (along with darn good food)- 'Ohana

Most disappointing meal (I won't say worst cause it wasn't disgusting or anything)- chicken sandwich at the land food court. Dry, bland, no sauce, dry bun even. Boring, boring, boring. I mean there were mayo and mustard packets, but no BBQ, no honey mustard, nothing. And the kid's corn dogs were QUITE small (compared to hot dogs we had bought the day before at MK- those were huge!). I doubt I will go back. And the Yakitori House in Japan was disappointing as well- I really, really like Japanese food, but this was off to me.

Best: Prime Time on our Honeymoon

Worst: Prime Time last year. Just not the same, go figure.

but it's hard to pick. Here goes:

worst meal: Big River Grille and Brew Works - that may not be the exact name but you guys know what I'm talking about. It's at the Boardwalk. Horrible food and a totally un-Disney experience. Close second would be Sci-Fi Dinner Theatre (although I loved the concept).

best meal: this is real real hard. I can't pick one so it's a tie for me between Narcoosees, Artist Pointe and Yachtsman Steakhouse.

PamNC

Best: Tie between dinner at Artist Point, dinner at Kona Cafe, and lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern

World: Lunch at Crystal Palace (we had a PS but still had to wait at least 45 minutes out in the hot sun, we didn't care for the food choices at all)

Best: Liberty Tree never disappoints

Worst: Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom. Even with priority seating it took over 2 1/2 hours to have lunch (we were seated within 15 minutes of arriving, the rest was waiting on a server and then waiting on the food). The service was horrendous. Never again!

Worst- Flying Fish cafe back in 1998.

Best dinner- Le Cellier.
Best lunch- Prime Time Cafe and Tony's Square tavern.
Best breakfast- Boma.

Great thread! I hope someone keeps a tally!

Worst- probably Pizzafari....I think the combo of long line for lunch(even at 11:00am or so), the kids restlessness at the table, frozen type pizza so hot I burned my mouth, and a commando eating schedule has the most to do with it though. :tilt: I probably would get the sandwich next time.

Best- 'Ohana .....The same idea in reverse! Great drinks while waiting for our table...(although one of the two bartenders was particularly SLOW)....Awesome setting/dining room....Appetizers were fantastic (and a meal in themselves)... My three boys had a blast (12, 10 & 8) with the games.....The CM's were attentive and friendly....The food was GREAT.....We actually missed wishes from there after we moved our PS to an earlier time but caught them back at MK. (that would have been the cherry on top!):)

Best ~ Breakfast: Boma
Dinner : O"Hana

Worst~ Flying Fish! yuck...my fish was raw inside! :crazy2:

we just got back and for years and years we always wanted to try LeCellair, well dh had steak it was good, dd and i had prime rib, it was terrible, fatty, we asked for it to be meduim, and it was like the cooked it like a steak on the grill, it was characoal burnt , it was so burnt that we had to ask for more bread/pretzel sticks,
the chedder cheese and beef barly soup was good.

the best place was Ohana, great food, cant wait to eat there again!!!!

Worst meal Flame Tree at AK,2nd worse meal Whispering Canyon, had the chicken pasta, I guess I should have stuck to their skillet specials. Best meal ,that's a 3 way tie** Le Cellier, Yachtsman Steak House and Teppanaki

Worst: San Angel Inn, Columbia Harbor House, Hollywood & Vine

Best: Tempura Kiku, Fulton's, Marakesh, Ohana

Love this thread! Let's keep it going!

Someone mentioned a tally. I admit it, I've been keeping one. Here are the current totals (as of 4:30 pm on 4/20/04). I only listed the restaurants with 3 or more "votes."

BEST: :D
‘Ohana -- 11
California Grill -- 8
LeCellier -- 8
Boma -- 5
Artist Point -- 4
Jiko -- 4
Garden Grill -- 3
Victoria & Albert’s -- 3
‘50's Prime Time Café -- 3
Yachtsman Steak House -- 3

WORST: :(
‘50's Prime Time Café -- 5
Cap’n Jack’s Restaurant -- 4
Sci-Fi Dine-In -- 4
Hollywood Brown Derby -- 3
San Angel Inn -- 3
Yakitori House -- 3

I'll try to update when I can! Have fun!

Best: Definitely LeCellier - DH & I have eaten lunch and dinner there and we have never had one complaint, food is delicious, best prime rib I ever ate, service is great, very friendly cm's and the cheese soup is sooooo good - we go every time we visit.
Ohana - very good every time we've been there, although it's been awhile.
Buffets - Boma - for me anyway, I don't think DH agrees, he's not a "different" food person.
Lunch - Kona Cafe makes great salads so I rate this restaurant hi because I'm a salad person.

Worst - absolutely Momma Melrose, 5 of us ate there and not one of us enjoyed anything we had, it was disgusting - I won't go back. Also, the counter service in China was horrible.

Based on this thread, I will be trying California Grille, Teppanyani (correct spelling) and Whispering Canyon for the ribs!

Worst - The Adventureland Veranda in MK. They had the worst hamburger I ever tasted in my life. It was the Hawaiian Burger or Teriyaki Burger. I'm not really sure anymore. It was a bland burger with a slice of pineapple on it. My friends and I still bust up laughing when we think of it. I guess you had to be there.

Best - Restaurant Marrakesh. I always like the food. But this was a hard choice. The old version Restaurant Akershus and the really old version of Liberty Tree Tavern in MK were my all time favorites

Sad to say, but Tony's for breakfast was a major disappointment as it used to be a tradition to have our first breakfast there every trip. Tried it twice just to give it a second chance but everything was mediocre at best.
Two way tie for best would be Flying Fish and LeCellier.

worst was the Japanese counter service which was so lousy I have evidently blocked it some what from my memory since I mercifully forget it's name

best can mean so many different things...most fun... whispering canyon breakfast on our last morning... nicest "experience" over all, all things considered including my delight in finding something good for a meal at MGM, Brown Derby for lunch, have had better food ( although it was reallyvery very good) but loved that meal as everything "clicked"... actual best food probably artist point but we had a lousy waiter there so it dampens my enthusiasm.

My 7 year old son Jack is very excited to see everyone loving this thread because it was his idea! Thanks for all the replies!::yes:: :bounce: :Pinkbounc

All the smilies are from Jack!

We have eaten at most of WDW restaurants over the years

The best by far was Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner
The worst - Prime Time Cafe!!

The very best meal we've had.....Artist Point for dinner. Terrific.

Worst.....Sci-Fi. And we didin't care for CG very much. It wasn't bad, just too trendy.

Interesting thread. I'm rethinking some of my ps choices for August. Looks like maybe Brown Derby will be passed over. Too much money to take a chance on.

Worst: Cape May. The food was fine, I am just not a big eater and I paid way to much for what little I ate.

Best: Tie. 50s prime time and Whispering Canyon (for breakfast) I loved the antics at both! It was such a fun atmosphere. And for me I had really good food at both places. Definately going to both of these in December.
