We have never eaten here before but IL's have and want to go back. Has anyone been recently and if so, what did you think about it? How was the atmosphere and more importantly the food? Epcot is full of so many great restaurants I'd hate to blow a meal at a bad one. Thanks for your thoughts. :wave2:

We enjoyed our lunch very much! I would definitely go back. We had a table
right next to the aquarium which was very enjoyable. The entire meal was fantastic but the best part was desert. Chocolate Wave! :earboy2:

I have to agree..some people have had a bad expierence or think it is overpriced but the atmosphere is really very good ...try to sit by the aquarium it is very entertaining!

I liked the food. It is a bit pricy. We always went there with the CP dinner package at Christmas time since it cost the same wherever you ate, but that was a few years back. As far as the atmosphere goes, the restaurant isn't that big, so even if you're not on the glass you have a great view of the aquarium. Its really cool.

We ate there in December, the food was very good, the service was excellent and the atmospher was wonderful. We sat up a bit from the tank but were able to see everything, in fact there were even some divers in there it made for an enjoyable meal.

Hi,

Thanks for the great reviews. Mom & I are going here for the 1st time in a few weeks.

Ms. Sparrow aka Allison

My DH and I were just discussing the Coral Reef today! It used to be one of our favorite WDW restaurants then one day about 5 years ago we had lunch and it was positively aweful! Even the service was bad! There was 3 adults and my one year old daughter and the only thing we could stomach to eat was my babies PB&J sandwich! However that was a long time ago and we were thinking of trying it again! As I said it was once one of our fav's(a must do each trip) so I'm happy to see all the good reviews!!!!! I'm going to take everyone's word for it and give it a shot, hey it's been 5 years maybe they were just having an off day that day!!!!

Geez. I went there once when I was around 7 (I'm 14 now) and I went about 1 year ago and I LOVED IT!! So did my sister who's very picky about her food.

Coral Reef was our best meal on our last trip. My son has food allergies and this the chef went way out of his way to make something wonderful for him. He even made him a special dessert! I love there soup and my other son had Mahi mahi that was fantastic. DH also had a chef's special plate because he didn't want the veg option on the menu. Our service was great too. The tables closest to the tank are for smaller parties so we have always been back aways, but we love the panoramic view!

We went for dinner last April & the atmosphere & meal were great!! I had the
Mahi Mahi & it was good. My DH & I had the lobster soup. That was wonderful!!! My DH had shrimp also one DS & my other DS had pizza off the childrens menu. Everything was good. It was approx $170.00. Very pricey so probably will not go again soon, however we really enjoyed it & glad we tried it. :cool1:

This is my dad's favorite WDW restaurant. I love the atmosphere and the food is really good. I had the salmon sandwich and it was tasty. The Chocolate Wave for dessert is amazing! It is probably the best dessert I have ever had! It is expensive but we were on the dining plan and didn't have to worry about prices.

Great restaurant. Better at lunch than dinner due to price break. Menu is the same. Been twice, Once with wife and then again later with two kids. Ambiance is great. Food is very good. Price is not high but average for the type of food you get. I still cannot figure why people always hit this place for a high price in a location where a hamburger costs $5 and a coke $4. This place is no more expensive than any other place. I have also heard this place slammed as no better than Red Lobster. I just ate at Red Lobster the other day and there is no comparison. Coral Reef is far better. Never had bad service and never observed bad service. I have been seated immediately and served well and quickly.

We have eaten there many times. I have to agree that I prefer lunch...due to the difference in price!! I have never been disappointed there, neither has my hubby. I'm big on trying new drinks when I can at WDW, I have to recommend the Octopus Juice (it's a pina colada w/chambord). :rotfl2:

Awesome!!! Thank you all so much for taking the time to give your wonderful reviews....from what I had read in guidebooks they said it was no good....glad to hear a completely different take here...I'll be making a PS here for sure...Thanks Diser's your the best!!! :wave2:

We went there for dessert only and were seated next to the tank. Good way to enjoy the atmosphere without spending a lot of money on what I had heard was so so food. We went to the restaurant earlier and asked if we wanted dessert only if that would be ok. The CM was very nice and suggested that we come back at a certain time and we should be seated without much wait. I seem to recollect it was about 8-8:30 pm.
