I'm thinking of making reservations at Cap'n Jacks's Restaurant, but I haven't heard much about it here. Any one have some reviews they can share with me??

What about Raglan Road??

Thanks

I personally didn't enjoy Captain Jacks. I felt that the menu was limited and that the food reminded me of frozen entrees that were microwaved and served to me on a nice plate.

We went to Raglan Road this past March and that was pretty good. I don't remember my entree, so that was probably average, but I ordered the Forks of Scallops appetizer and they were heavenly and I don't like scallops! I would probably go back just to order the scallops!

Raglan Road is great and I recommend it.

Captain Jack's has a very limited menu. If you want a light snack or drink, it is fine. Great location, fun to watch what is happening around the lake. But I wouldn't plan on it for dinner.

I cant comment on Raglan Road, we've only ever been there to have a drink.

CapNJacks, was eh to me. i got the pasta dish. something with shrimp. i cant remember the specifics. it reminded me of a lean cuisine i usually eat.
i think youd be happier at another restaurant at DTD.

We LOVED Capn Jacks, we loved it so much we booked another ADR at the podium before we left for later on in the week.

Now we were on the dining plan so we all got the lobster, and of course it's not the highest quality but if you're on the dining plan and you're looking for a good TS meal with decent food then I'd recommend it to anyone.

We always got Lobster when we ate there so I can't comment on the rest of their food.

When did they put the lobster back on their menu? I didn't think it was offered anymore, that might make me change my plans and try it.

im a very picky eater so i am limited to where i go lol...i got a chicken and rice plate and a cup of clam chowder...our table was next to the window overlooking the lake..we had a really good meal a good waitress and will make another adr when we return next year ..also people were eating lobster left and right ( iwent during FD last september)

i have no recollection of what DF got but he enjoyed it as well

I do not recommend Cap'n Jacks. We've eaten there twice and both times were not happy with the quality of the food. Everything is nuked, we sat right by the server station and every 30 seconds saw the microwave being opened.

We did however really enjoy Raglan Road. Bangers and Mash were A+!

It's been over 5 yrs since we've eaten there but if I remember correctly is was fine. We much prefer Fulton's in DD.

We last ate their two years ago. We loved it only because they had lobster back then and we had free dining:goodvibes! The lobster was not cooked to perfection, but it was edible. Their cheesecake was incredible. Now the menu is much more limited but we will probably eat their for crab cakes (hard to find anywhere else). I just read that they now have ONE menu for both lunch AND dinner. Look into it and decide.

I have to agree!! I still have dreams about the Forks of Scallops! :yay:

Ragland Road is superb; I am so excited because one of the people going with me this year is of Irish decent and she will love the clog dancers.

I ate once at Cap'n Jack's, it was horrible. Reminds me of the food at Applebee's - pre-packaged and they just heat it up. I tried it again, just to be sure, and nope, it was horrible. Never been back.
