Your School and Friends.

Well the food chain in my school goes like this:

School Food Chain:
1~The popular people (aka ones who wear short shorts, dye their hair and think they are everything~
2~The some what floating popular people~
3~People who just hang out with their friends and are normal~
4~Nobody's (which is practically the popular people gone down the drain~

Where do I fit? Well #3! Im fine with who I am and I NEVER want to hang out with the popular people.

My high school is kinda hard to split up into groups, because there are so many. But the girls in my grade can be divided by "popular"/trashy, preppy and cliquey (not saying all preppy people are like this, just this little group of which I'm not fond of), "perfect" straight A's (my old friends), and normal and sweet people (my current friends and I). The boys are really just jocks who fool around with girls, and nerds. There are some sweet guys who are just...normal. But only a few, which stinks.

But like SplshMtnLvr28 said, you have to wait until you're a sophomore to even try to make friends with upperclassmen at my school. Which makes it so hard to broaden your range of friends here, not only because we've all been in the same grade since kindergarten, but because there's only 150 of us. So just sticking with your current friends is what you have to do. It made switching my group really difficult, because everyone's basically staring at you like, "What are you doing?" It's really stupid.

Well, its not really alot of cliques, but just alot of little groups with friends that have known each other for a long time...
It was hard for me because everyone had their groups and knew each other, but its easy now

Just groups of people that have been friends I suppose.
But there are still cliques. Like the popular friends, the geeks, and everything. I don't like it but that's how it is.

I thought the weirdest thing was last year was that the popular girls in my cluster were jealous of me and my clothes and all my stuff. it's was really weird.

yeah me too the popular girl loves my clothes,shoes,purses,makeup,hair etc. but i'm a social outcast i don't get it

my school has some strong cliques this year. I'm not in one. I hang out with goths, an emo (just one), the nerds, the rednecks, and the rotc kids.

I can't imagine hating everyone else just because they were different from my friends and me. I mean, that's what makes people special. We're all different.

Me too. And apparantly, I'm the only person in my whole grade who isn't either A) Obsessed with being popular or B) Totally Ghetto.

And I also think I was the only hardcore animal/enviroment saving person.

Well I can really only speak for my grade, so 08 is broken down like this:

Distinct Groups:
"ghettofabulous" who only associate with other ghettofab's .. These gems can be seen blocking the hallways, screaming, cursing, generally in a huge cluster. They find it necessary to walk in groups .. like a flock of birds. They treat everybody with disrespect and basically nobody in the whole school wants them there.

"Outsiders" they are like cult I believe. They had this thing last year, about 20 of them all had different colored duct tape and had some theory that they rest of us would all die because we didn't do the tape thing...? They are just bizarre kids. Really I can't describe them.

"Everyone else": Here's the majority of us. We have friends often from different places (ie: I have my friends from dance, my friends I've known for 4 years, and kids I'm friends with through a class we had together). There's not a strong barrier like "preps" "jocks" or whatever.. we tend to mingle.

and then, there are the mean girls of 08... They are within everyone else, and some might call them "the popular girls".. they are the ones that are mostly nice, but do something to piss them off, and watch out. they're big into backstabbing and gossip. And I'd rather not be on their bad side.


I don't think it's entirely that bad. For the most part, we all get along. And if we didn't, I'd think someone put acid in our drinks. It's part of high school. You learn to deal with it
