Your opinion on this ladies watch

I've worn that 2 tone for many years, but in a Seiko. It's a beautiful gift, and very classic. At that price point, I'd veer more toward classic than trendy.

I love my two tone Seiko. It is a beautiful watch.

I have one very similar, it is a Citizen, I love it. I love the 2 tone, stainless and 18K. I think you have chosen a very pretty watch. I hope she loves it!

I'm on the fence about this one. Maybe I am just having a difficult time with the price-therefore, my expectations are higher.

I guess I am not a fan of two-tone. I would prefer something more slender too. Boy-I sure am picky! Maybe that is why I don't own a watch!!! ;)

What a beautiful watch! It's a timeless, elegant, "every day" watch that she will wear for years and years. I like the two tone color and it looks pretty on. Everyone I know that has it, loves it. I'm sure your wife will be thrilled (and she's very lucky)! Merry Christmas!

I like it although it isn't my style (more of a leather band, rectangular face with Roman #'s kinda girl, lol so very different!).

I like the 2 tone because then she can wear gold or silver with it.

I'd have a fit if DH spent that kind of money on a watch for me though. But then again, if I opened that up, I'd never know it was that expensive because I'm just "out of it". lol

Hope she adores it!

I like the watch it is classic. On a side note, I don't know kwhy some people here are giving their opinions on how much money the OP is spending on this watch. Did I miss something, did he ask?. I really don't think it is any of our business how much he is spending, he simply asked for our opinion on the style of the watch, he didn't ask for your budgeting help.

Nope, he didn't ask. I'm just throwing it out there because he asked about style and the style is nice but if my DH spent that much on a watch for me, it would color my like/dislike of the watch. That's all. :) I think it is wonderful the OP has that much money to spend on a watch though. :) Truly, it is NOMB. :)

I can see your point, if my hubby was to spend that much on a watch, and in fact one time he did,(and I told him not to, I am the cheap one) He did show it to me first to make sure I would like it.

I still fuss at him to this day about spending that amount of money on me. I am way to practical. But for others it is ok, just not for me.

It's a very nice watch. I'm in my mid-40s and would love it. I don't know about a 30 year old -- depends on her fashion style. I'm more down to earth. With that being said, I would rather get a $10 watch from Wal-Mart and take a week long trip to Disney with that money!

I've had that watch for almost 12 years. My dh bought it for me for our 1st anniversary. I was 25. I love it and wear it every day and it will last forever. My husband has been wearing his for over 20 years. Yes it is pricey but if you are going to wear it every day forever then it's not really that expensive. I don't remember what he paid but even at 2000, over 10 years that's 50 cents a day. On a per use cost I've spent more on clothes and purses.

I hate to say anything negative..........But.......I think the gold makes it look cheesy. For that price, I think it is missing the elegance factor.

I am 38 and I would not wear it. I like small and simple. THis looks a little manly to me.

Now, this is me. You know your wife's tastes and likes. I am assuming that she is into this brand/type of watches for you to spend such big money on it. With that said, I am thinking that she will love it!

If not, return it and let her pick out what she wants.

I would wear it. I have a similar style - much less expensive and it has Mickey the Mouse on it - anyway, even without MM, I would still love it. I just turned 40, but have had the watch for several years.

It's a nice watch. But.... that price. I would never have let my dh buy me or himself a watch that cost that much. I would rather have a vacation. BTW, aren't gifts of timepieces bad luck? I know they are in Chinese culture. JMO

I've always heard that too. The saying I heard is that if you buy someone a timepiece, your time will run out with them. I know, it sounds crazy!:sad2:

Hong Kong is the number one buyer of Swiss watches in the world.

So OP, did you give the watch to your wife? What did she think?

It's late for me to be commenting but you know best what her tastes are. I don't see the relevance of the price because I'm sure that you know whether you can afford it or not.

Looks very elegant.
I personally am a Tag Huer fan...love their watches.

I  Tag Heuer, too. DH and I bought a pair of these for our 10th anniversary and I have warn mine constantly (sleeping, showering, swimming, etc.0 ever since. I have only had to have the battery changed. It's been 13 years and I still love mine.

I like the watch OP. The gold does not make it look cheesy, mine has gold accents and it's very nice looking. Rolex has bands with mixed metals, too.
