Your Most Memorable (or Weirdest) Halloween Costumes

I must ask...how did you do this one?

Kimya

Invisible man: Hat, gloves, ace bandage around the head & neck, sunglasses. It was a good one.

When I was young and my mom was a struggling single parent, she made me a california raisin costume out of a black garbage bag stuffed with socks and shirts to poof it out, dark face paint (aka my grandpa's shoe polish) and my white gloves LOL.

In my younger years I was a slice of pizza one year. I was a combination slice with everything on it. The sad irony in this is that I was working at Round Table at the time and had to work Halloween night.

:cool1: Oh, Halloween is so much fun for me...more so as an adult than a kid since I was usually sick during that time of year. I like to come up with costumes that are original and make people guess a bit...

One year, DH went as Count Redneck...He wore a pair of old overalls, flannel shirt, makeup for dracula, complete with teeth and blood dripping out of the corner of his mouth, and a toothpick. He went around saying, "Roadkill....yum". That year I was "Miss Trailer Park 2000"...I had a pair of aqua strech knit capri pants, a turquoise shirt with appliques on it, the darkest suntan hose I could find, gold lame strappy sandals with heels, fake nails a mile long, pouffed my short hair as best I could, wore a cheap crown, had a sash that said "Miss Trailer Park 2000" and carried a cigarette case while chomping gum. The whole time I carried on about how my hair was at Miss Beulah's Beauty Parlor and she'd closed up shop so I just had to make do on my own for this public appearance.

Other years we've done the couple costumes as...
Deviled Egg and Deviled Ham
The Dark Ages and The Age of Enlightenment
The World's Largest Dust Bunny and the Janitor...DH wasn't into the costuming that year :confused3

And my favorite solo costume of all time was back in college...Southern Illinois Univerity at Carbondale used to be ranked as a professional party school according to Playboy magazine...why? For Halloween the city closed down about a mile of street just to party for an entire weekend...the store fronts were boarded up and the liquor flowed freely. I went as a female flasher... :earseek: OMG! It was the best time I've ever had and I swear that I was sober the entire time. I"ll try to describe this as nicely as I can...I used the material used in Cabbage Patch dolls to make a body suit complete with appendages that hung to my waist and brown fake fur for other parts. I wore red legwarmers, a very blonde long wig, a bandana around my neck to hide the edge of the body suit, an old fedora that was my grandpa's and beat to death, chili red lipstick, and dark sunglasses. My coat was a trench coat I'd found in Amsterdam that year for $8. I had a group of "sailors" chasing me down the street to show their husbands. I was even the focal point of a college paper in a cultural anthropology class that semester...complete with photos. I think that year the group I went with had more fun watching the reaction on people's faces than anything else...I know that I did...it was so much fun!!! :rotfl2:

Well, this year I'm taking my dad who's 74 to our cousin's big Boo Bash and he's dressing up as an old geiser and I'm just gonna dress in a pair of jeans and probably a flannel shirt...oh, and a 2 inch red ribbon around my neck...any guesses on what I'm gonna be? :confused3

A Redneck Woman....

This year I'm going as a castaway from Lost

Most memorable: the year I was Dru from BTVS
Most fun: Satine from Moulin Rouge
Weirdest: Headbanger, right down to the dog chains

Well this year I really wanted to go to a halloween party, but none of my boring friends wanted to go. I brought a nuns outfit and everthing.Great accessories to go with it, a cross, a bible.....oh the joys of being 21

A little boy came up to our door dressed up as a book, the title: Trick or Treating for Dummies, lol

When my daughter was 2 she really wanted to be a cupcake for halloween. I don't know where she got it in her head that that was what she wanted to be. So crafty me made a cupcake costume. I have a picture around somewhere gotta look for it...

My mother made a costume for my sister once that I'll never forget. Kimi wanted to be a monster so mom made an elaborate concoction out of paper mache. It looked totally cool, was the perfect monster but it weighed a ton! My sister couldn't wear it. Since mom didn't finish it until halloween she didn't realize the problem until right before we were going out. My cousins came over and Mike (who was 6 mon. younger than Kimi but much bigger/stronger) wanted to wear the monster costume badly so they switched and Kimi became a pirate and Mike was the monster. Later that night we went to a costume contest and guess who won? LOL, Kimi was a little put out over the whole thing.

Hmmm i dunno what my most embarassing costume was but my most memorable was probably the wicked queen from Anow White. My Mum made the costume and it was just awesome! I think I was about 13 or 14

I just found a picture of me when I was about 3 or 4, with a big brown paper bag on my head!!! My Dad had made eye holes and a nose...I was a cute little girl!!
What were you suppose to be?

My sisters ( and 2 other friends) dressed up as the Spice girls one year. Complete with those girl power poses. Some great pics came out of that one!

My Mom once made an E.T. costume for me, complete with red finger!
