Thought it might be fun to hear your most memorable meal experiences! It can be for any reason, good or bad.

Here’s some that come to mind:

1) From a food quality perspective... You may be shocked to know that my best meal ever at WDW has been at Coral Reef. Even I can say that Coral Reef is hit or miss, but the Chef’s Sustainable catch in Sept 2011 was simply amazing. :worship: (photo attached) Pretty sure it was snapper. Wonderfully cooked, with hints of citrus, and super savory. Doesn’t look like much in the photo, but Wow. Problem is, I’ve been back twice since, and the Sustainable Catch has been different both times. :( I think I’ve stopped chasing that elusive dish.

2) Cape May’s – Partly for the wonderful buffet (love seafood), but more surprisingly was the beautiful lagoon area around the Beach/Yacht club and the Boardwalk. :goodvibes Fell in love with that area! We could sit out there for hours just taking it in.

3) Hoop Dee Doo Review (spoiler alert)… when they slam that bucket of chicken down on the table, we all about pooped our pants:oops:o_O:P, which was followed by a huge laugh from us all. The look on my oldest daughters face was priceless since the bucket was “set” right in front of her. My parents were with us for the first time, and they are fairly reserved people, but we all laughed and laughed and had such a goofy time the whole show! (I'm sure all the beer and Sangria helped). Both my MOM and oldest daughter had their birthdays announced... just a special night.

4) …and our worst was Hollywood and Vine in 2010. Didn’t know the characters (Little Einstein’s I think. It was a little awkward when they came to the table… “Oh… uh… hi, can you sign our autograph book?”), and the buffet was very sub par compared to others we’ve had. Vowed never to go back. We have found, in general, that TS meals are far better in locations that serve menu entrees rather than a buffet. We do still like some buffets though.

For us it has to be Ohanas many years ago. We had family that lives in FL come over to meet us for dinner -in our large group we had 3 birthdays. We were seated by the window and could look out and see the Castle which was beautiful. It was about time for Wishes when the server brought out cupcakes with candles, right when we all blew out our candles the first fireworks went up. It could not have been timed more perfectly and it felt like magic to us. And of course the food was amazing!

Cool story! Why does it seem things like that line up more at WDW? :)

Love 'Ohana!

1900 Park Fare, Easter Brunch 2012

My blond 4 year old was dressed in a dress that featured Alice, and first the Mad Hatter came up to her and started talking to her as if she WAS Alice. Then, when Alice came by he acted all confused. Alice then went on and on about how then were twins and looked EXACTLY alike, and then proceeded to spend a good 10-15 minutes with us. (Our server told us that she had specifically saved our table for last)

My now 7 year old still talks about it.

The antics at Whispering Canyon the first time we went. I'll never forget the large soda I ordered. I almost stole the mug.

California Grill 2011. DH and I had gone to WDW with our family and had our then 9mo old daughter with us. My mom watched DD so my husband and I could have our first post-baby date night. They sat us in the small private room next to the windows and gave us free champagne and dessert. It was awesome.

Jiko for our one year wedding anniversary. They seated us next to the window overlooking the water. We left our phones at the hotel. I remember sitting there with my husband realizing that we would never be in that place, at that moment in our lives ever again...adventures and happiness and heartaches, children and growing older, changing jobs and houses and watching our loved ones age...there will be many more anniversaries, but never that first one ever again. It is a memory I will cherish as long as I live. :lovestruc

Be Our Guest- best meal we've ever had at Disney. Our waiter was amazing- very funny and entertaining, food was fabulous- the night of our dinner reservation was our anniversary- waiter gave us free champagne and Grey Stuff.

I don't have a favourite yet, but I love, love, love your experience!

Via Napoli 2 years ago for dinner. As we walked in, it started pouring rain, and our group of 7 was seated in this extremely quiet and private back corner of the restaurant. Great food, great sangria, and fun conversation, along with the storm outside, made this a really memorable meal.

My most memorable was when my then 4 year met Jake for the first time at H and V!! He cried and ran to him...we all were crying by then. And ofcourse, Jake was super sweet and just loved on him...and the rest of us. I have wonderful pics of my whole family with Jake.

Arrival day Chef Mickey's dinner in 2011. DS was 11 at the time. He thought the place was AMAZING. He would go up to the buffet and come back with bowls of ice cream or candy, eyes wide open, staring at me saying "look mom they have Reese's pieces!!!" It was just so funny and made me so happy to see him so happy. My DS is a very laid back, flat, non emotion showing person. So this was a rare moment.

Ohana's dinner 2011- made last minute reservation. Could only get 915. We were seated near the window and when Wishes came on they piped in the music and lowered the lights. DD5 at the time stopped eating, closed her eyes, folded her hands together and made a wish. I was really worried about this ADR but it turned out to be amazing!

I have 2-

1) I was almost 3 years old (this was back in 1994) and my grandmother went with us so my parents could ride some of the rides on their own without swapping up to watch me. We went to Chef Mickey's for breakfast and I was a little scared of Tigger (this was my first time meeting a character). He tried to warm up to me by being really sweet to my grandmother and joked around with her - he even acted like he was drinking her entire cup of coffee. I warmed up to him after that because I was so close to my grandmother and I saw how funny he was with her. It's such a good memory now because my grandmother just passed away in June.

2) In 2013 we tried Cape May for breakfast and Donald was hilarious! He stayed at our table for awhile (we are a group of 3 adults too) and kept pointing at our plate of Mickey waffles and was nodding his head "no" and pointing to himself insinuating they should serve Donald waffles instead of Mickey waffles :rotfl2:

Best- WCC the first time we went just for the antics. Someone was given the multiple HUGE mugs of soda. Someone was given the tiniest cup I've ever seen. The ketchup. The extra straws.

Worst- The 45 minute wait to be seated at 50's prime time ( that was 45 minutes past the actual ADR time) and all 7 of us couldn't even sit at the same table. If we wanted that, the wait would have been longer.

It has to be BOG twice in one day before it opened to the public. My wife was sick and went off to minuteclinic and my then 8 y/o daughter and I went to MK. We walked by the new fantasyland and there were previewing it to pass holders which we were not. The guy said go on in anyway. We went in saw BOG was open and had lunch at 10:30 am. Awesome. Then on the way out they asked if we were going to be ther that evening I said yes and they gave us a reservation for all 3 of us that night for dinner at 5:45. It was the night of Mvmcp and it was our last night there. Eating me there was magical from our first step inside as we had passed New Fantasyland all week and could only peek inside. Combine that with doing all attractions inside except 7dmt of course and it was the best ever.

:lovestrucHOOP DEE DOO!!! I tell this story all the time so my apologies if anyone has heard it before. :teeth:
The food was GOOD not great but that's not what made this experience the best of the trip
~ It was myself & my 3 boys. At the time my twins were 13. One of them was usually always moody, uptight, serious & blah. It was our 2cnd night. One of the entertainers had come right to us & asked my moody son where we were from. It was almost as if HE knew my son needed an xtra spark! Within a few moments he started singing loudly & directing it about my son, the spotlight was on him & everyone was clapping along. He even teased my son in the song. But, for the first time in awhile I saw laughter... He laughed so hard tears came down. The entertainer always ended up coming back to our table. It was priceless. That night turned things around for us and he still talks about it and it's been 2 yrs. Our next trip is next year & we decided not to do HDDR again.... Only because we know it won't be the same.

You all put my stories to shame!!! I'm gonna have to make some stuff up just to compete!!!

Kouzzina ... not only was the food amazing, but DS then much younger had a total diaper blowout right after our food arrived, much more than the basic diaper change gear we had brought could handle. I had to leave the table and the restaurant to trek back to the room to change him (we were at BWV), and of course I was disappointed as it took quite a bit of time and I felt I was missing the opportunity to enjoy the meal with the rest of my family. I was so touched when I got back to find that they had taken away my food and kept it warm, and done it properly so that it wasn't dried out or altered in taste from the few bites I had taken before the interruption. My usually impatient older kids had waited to order dessert until I got back, so that I wouldn't be eating by myself after everyone else had finished. I had resigned myself to a 'lost meal' experience, and instead it had a special feeling because both restaurant and family had taken such care to make sure I wouldn't miss out.
