Well, we are packed, showered and ready to go.(At last)
This is our first trip to WDW.
If you could give one tip to someone, what would it be?

:yo-yo:  :yo-yo:

Don't try to do everything, it's impossible.
Get to the parks early.
Take time to relax.
Cut your to-do list in half.
You will remember the quiet times over the rides!

Get to the parks 45 minutes before they open. (You can eat poptarts while waiting for the gates to open if you have to.) Then, LEAVE when you are feeling tired, grumpy, or stressed. If you allow yourself to feel grumpy and stressed too many times, THAT'S what you'll remember.

WDW is truly the most magical place and you are going to have a BLAST!!!!

If you're hanging out on these boards, you probably have planned every day to death and have an itinerary all planned out. Nothing wrong with that.

But never let the schedule RULE you. Don't feel like having dinner in Mexico? Cancel. Kids worn out after a long day? So do Illuminations later; go have a relaxing evening by the pool. It's a vacation.

And my #1 WDW motto is ALWAYS SAY YES TO ICE CREAM.

Your first trip, how EXCITING!!!! Like everyone else has said, relax, take a deep breath and enjoy yourself. Don't forget to use Fast Pass. Let us know how everything went when you get back.

Walk, do not run or rush or hurry, down Main Street for the first time and soak up the experience. It still makes me want to cry whenever I walk down Main Street for the first time on any Disney trip. I'm a sap!

Oh yeah, I agree with the advice to say YES to ice cream - especially Mickey bars!:mickeybar

Have a great time!

Get to the parks EARLY, take afternoon naps, and go back for the fireworks and meals. Believe me, the heat will be intense, so rest and hydration WILL BE essential! Don't rush anything. Go with the flow. But you have a secret weapon -> US. We'll help you along the way if you're hooked up to the boards during ur visit! HAVE FUN and CONGRATS on completing the waiting period....ur there doode!

I second everyone's suggestion to go early and take a break--wouldn't do it any other way.

Also, don't be afraid to slow down once in a while for the little moments. Some of our best memories are the little things that happen on the way to big things. One time, my DD ran into sleeping beauty when we were leaving through the world showcase exit. There was no one around, and she just sat on a bench and told Sleeping Beauty all about her trip. For her, it was so magical. On another trip, we were heading for test track when the kids got distracted by the fountain thing on the path between future world and world showcase. My youngest had never seen the "surprise fountains" (that what my kids call those things) and the older ones took him in. They spent the best 15 minutes of the trip laughing and getting wet--together. We never made it to test track that day, but I'll always remember the three of them playing in that fountain together.

Oh, and don't make your kids "pose" for all of the pictures. Candid ones are so much fun to look at later--you really see what they were thinking!

Have a great time!
