Your first concert?

With my parents and all were at the Houston Livestock show and Rodeo we saw Elvis (I was so young I remember nothing), Boots Randolph (A country Sax player) Charlie Pride, Sonny and Cher, Eddie Arnold and ZZ Top (They were not at the rodeo but at some festival.)

On my own September 26, 1974 on my 15th birthday I saw Elton John and Kikke Dee at Hofienz Pavillion on the campus of University of Houston.

And I have lost count of how many and who since then.

I saw Rush at the Montreal Forum in 1979.

Rush was my first concert, too! I saw the Signals tour in Düsseldorf in 1983. I saw as many concerts as I could there, because my parents didn't think it was safe to see concerts in the US. When we left Germany, I had to wait until I got to college to start seeing concerts again. The best was Pink Floyd, but my first US concert was the Psychedelic Furs.

Saw a few free concerts at Six Flags over GA in the mid 70's with my parents- England Dan and Jon Ford Coley, Mother's Finest, and Jimmy McNichol/Scott Baio.

First concert I actually paid for and wanted to see on my own (without parents or big brother)? The Kinks, spring 1980 in Atlanta. Great show!!

Prince, Purple Rain tour. 1985, I think. So began my 27 year love affair with live music!

First - Cheap Trick at Chicagofest 1981.

Last - Foo Fighters at Summerfest in June.

Next - Kiss/Motley Crue next month.

Too many to list in between.
