Your first car

1981 Chevy Citation - a lovely two tone brown. I had to turn off the air and the radio to have enough power to go up hills!

Jenny :)

1969 Chevy Impala...it was brown with white leather interior  got it as a graduation present in 1979.

1985 Olds 98 which my mom gave to me after my father passed away. It was on it's last legs, but man I loved that car. I tihnk it lasted about a year. I named him Morgenstern.

I win! The first three cars I owned (in succession) happened to be on a list for worst cars ever made that I read a few years back.

1st car - 1972 Ford Pinto (beige) (what a little fire bomb that was!!)
2nd car - I don't remember the year, but I got it in 1980 - a yellow Vega
3rd car - a beige Chevette (I think I got this in 82 when my Vega which used a quart of oil a day, finally conked out)

the first car I bought was a little red opal. I don't remember what year it was because it spent more time in the shop than it did my driveway. It was a cute little car,but it was just a piece of junk! The first car I had, was a 69 Cutlass that my DF passed down to me. It was green with a white top.

I had a 1971 Opal GT at one time. Yes, very cute but you are right, a piece of junk and a death trap  I loved the way the headlights came on though. I had a lever that flipped the headlights on...very cool :smokin:

It was an ugly 1983 Buick Century. Yes it was ugly, but I paid cash with my own money at the age of 17. :teeth:

It was a Toyota Corolla Tercell.

Not to be picky here, but which was it? A Corolla or a Tercel? I'm only asking because my second car was a blue (later red) 1990 Toyota Corolla and I loved that car dearly.

My first car was a brown 1986 Hyundai Excel that my dad bought me for my high school graduation . . . in 1999! :teeth: It barely worked when I got it and my dad paid $400 plus two dozen lobster. (He's a fisherman.) He just wanted it to get me through the summer so I could get to my job and it did (more or less). I've never seen an automatic stall so many times.

A silver 1983 Plymouth Champ. Got it when I turned 16 after my dad died and mom started driving his old car.

Actually it was a Corolla Tercel. From 1980 - 1983 they made a model called the Corolla tercel. It was a red hatchback.

Really? I did not know that. Nice to know a little more about the evolution of my little Crayola. :)

Sorry folks, I am the winner of the DORKIEST car ever. :lmao:

1973 Plymouth Scamp. Medium Green. 4 Door. Standard transmission. Not your average 4 speed with a floor shifter, oh no, not for me. It had a 3 speed manual transmission, with the shifter on the steering column. More affectionately known as a "3 on the Tree" I would literally go miles out of my way to avoid hills, until I had more confidence in my skills of driving the car.

I looked like a colossol dork driving that car, but it drove like a champ.

My dad 'found' this gem for me. Literally the little old lady car.

An Orange VW Beetle, standard shift ...I received it in 1976 for my High School Graduation and off to college gift from my father !!! :flower1:

Brown 1979 Chevy Chevette. I got it new, but so many things went wrong with that little car.

My first car was a hand-me-down 1952 Nash Rambler and I got it in 1962. I believe it had a cream body with a maroon roof (I'm a little color blind).

My first new car was a 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS, black with white interior I picked colors I could tell), 327 four on the floor. Yes, it would haul...

My first car was a '93 VW Jetta. I bought the car before I even had a license! I had to look at it in my drive way for a few months before I was able to drive it!!LOL It was so nice and it was new. Now don't think I was a spoiled brat and got a brand new car for my first car! I was a model as a baby and child and my mom had saved all my money and gave it to me when I turned 18. I didn't go to college so I used the money for a car.

1985 Ford Escort. Backfired like nobody's business. My sorority sisters called it the Death-scort. HATCHBACK, BAY-BE!!! :thumbsup2

95 Olds Eighty Eight. Big as a boat, but I could umm...take on a Caviller with only a broken headlight. He died last year, now I have a Lumina.
