Your favorite thing to eat at Disneyland

My current fave is Red's Apple Freeze from the cones in Carsland. Mmmmmm...... So good!

3-cheese monte cristos at Cafe Orleans,

Monte Cristo and pommes frites at Orleans Cafe (must share....portions way too big).

I'M SO EATING A MONTE CRISTO! I don't know if I should try the one with meat or only the 3 cheese! They both sound so so so yummy.

The breakfasts are moderately priced and so good with huge breakfast burritos, platters, and mickey waffles (the daughters favorite served with fruit).

We're having a character breakfast in the Plazza Inn. Minnie & friends. *so excited* They serve Mickey waffles but the little ones. And I'm sure I saw a big Mickey shaped waffle as well. But you only get those in Carnation Cafe, I think! Should I also get that one???

If you are doing breakfast at Minnie and friends, i think they are the same little one's we have gotten at Whitewater Snacks. I think the only big mickey waffles in the park are at the Carnation Cafe. For me the ones at Minnie's would be enough, since I am sure the taste is the same, just a size difference.

Hot Link corn dog in DCA. I LOVE them! Also the chicken dinner at Plaza Inn is the stuff dreams are made of! I cannot wait for my trip!!! Enjoy yours!!!!

Fried chicken meal at Plaza inn. I also love the chocolate covered Carmel & marshmallow on a stick from Pooh's Corner & I also think the Goofy's candy company gummy bears are the best I've ever had.

Corn Dogs in DCA and the big Mickey Waffles at Carnation Café. We were watching a show the other day with people eating corn dogs and my daughter turned to me and said "oh mum, I really liked those corn dogs at DL, I wish we could fly back now for one" lol its a long flight from Australia for a corn dog.

I found that Disneyland corn dogs tasted a lot like mine that I make at home and they're actually really easy to do, especially with my shortcuts. DL wieners are beef/chicken combo, if that makes a difference to you or her. Most people think 'corn dog' and think of pogos or otherwise crappy precooked gummy, nasty frozen corn dogs. The difference is them being freshly prepared, really. DL corn dogs are not any different than fairground corn dogs!

The basic recipe I've made up requires nothing more than pancake mix, corn meal, water and honey until you get a mixture that is the consistency of muffin batter. Then dip and deep fry. I eyeball it so I can't give you exact measurements or how much you'll need for how many dogs (though I wouldn't be opposed to making some for lunch tomorrow if you want more specific measurements ;D), but I usually use close to equal parts cornmeal and pancake mix. The honey really is the secret though, it gives the dogs a subtle sweet taste and a great crunch. I also cut standard wieners in half and make mini corn dogs with toothpicks for sticks, and I find they turn out great. They don't need to sit in the oil as long (my gripe about DL corn dogs, I found them very greasy!) and they're easier for kids to eat.

Thank you @offwithyourhead - I will give it a go. We have a similar item at our fairs called 'dagwood dogs' (I have no idea why they are called that! haha) but I find that they usually use a cheap wiener in them and as I've gotten older don't like the taste. This weekend we will give your recipe a try :)

Dole Whip, Monte Cristo, Turkey Leg. I have yet to try a rice krispie treat or a caramel apple. I finally got to try a Mickey bar on our cruise last fall, those are YUM!
We also have a ressie for Thunder Mtn BBQ, so I am stoked for that! DH and his BFF are SUPER stoked for that "All you can eat BBQ?! YES!!!!" lol

The beignets (pumpkin and regular) and Pomme Frites at Cafe Orleans

I'm dying to try the beignets! Ever since I saw Tiana cooking them I knew I had to eat one of those one day!

Yup. We're so going to eat the fried chicken at Plaza. Everyone loves it! And thanks for telling me about the gummy bears! I LOVE GUMMY BEARS! I've never had them at DW so I'm going to give them a try now! :D

Corn Dogs at the Red Wagon on Main Street are my personal favorite. I usually hate corn dogs!! I am going to have to try the fried chicken at the Plaza Inn on our next trip.

Churros
Dole Whip Float
Pomme Frites (Café Orleans)
Chicken Skewers at Bengal BBQ
Mickey pretzels stuffed w/ cream cheese

Stuffed biscuits at Carthay Circle
Tamale breakfast at Flo's

Hawaiian burger at Trader Sam's

Plan on eating all these (and more) in two weeks! :D

Ice cream. Any place really. We like the little Mickey ice cream bars sold around the parks, they make great snacks while waiting for a parade. DCA has soft served ice cream on the Boardwalk and in Carsland. The cones are huge and delicious. And there are fun sundaes to be had at location in both parks. We're not big meat eaters, buy my kids and I really like the Corndogs too, my husband not so much. I suggest you go into one of the many candy shops or bakeries and just look around at the plethora of choices and pick something. Everything looks so tasty!

At Disneyland: the gumbo at Blue Bayou and Cafe' Orleans; fried pickles and baked potato soup at Carnation Cafe'; the Jolly Holiday combo (tomato-basil soup + grilled cheese sandwich) at Jolly Holiday Bakery.

At DCA: turkey sandwich with pasta salad at Flo's; dark chocolate sundae from Ghirardelli; shrimp scampi at Wine Country Trattoria.

We're boring. DS and I split a churro in the morning, eat a corn dog for lunch, try something new for dinner and always, always, always split a rice crispy square (and iced coffee for me) as we leave the park for our drive home.
