Your favorite spa treatment.

I always do Alone Time and the massage options seem to vary based upon the staff member you are booked with. I've been offered Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and lomi lomi on various cruises.

What is lomi lomi? I'v never heard of that one.

So you'd say it's worth it? I'm currently booked for it first thing in the morning on Nassau day and plan to get a Rainforest Room pass for the rest of the day.

I definitely recommend it! Nothing like a great massage followed by relaxing on your own private verandah in a hot tub or sipping tea! Lomilomi is a Hawaiian type massage and the therapist used a piece of bamboo to massage some parts of the body.

We bought 4 single day rainforests for the Magic. We went together on a day the kids were playing in the kids club. The mild steam room was nice and warm, but we could only stand it for about 10-15 mins. The warm seats were nice, I could have taken a nap as the place was empty, but we didn't want to waste the day. We both thought the showers weren't that great. Only one was warm enough but seemed to be on a very short timer. The other two were cold and colder, we couldn't even get in it was so cold. My wife has a neuro-muscular disorder and the cold can trigger seizure like episodes. We probably stayed in the spa ab out 45 mins and went out to the adult only pool/hottub. We had a better time there and got some beverages too.

Edited:

I also had a 1 hr Swedish massage on our last day at sea. It was terrific and well worth it. I hold a lot of stress in my shoulders and back from working as a firefighter, and I felt like a million bucks afterwards. I used the rainforest pass again afterwards, and just the steam room for about 15 mins. It was pretty busy and all of the hot recliners were taken. I would definitely recommend a massage treatment on the Magic, as it was one of the best I've had in a long time.

The showers - at least some of them - are supposed to be cold.

Love,Love,Love the Rainforest spa passes! My husband and I book this. We have great alone/adult time together.

Fire & Ice mani / pedi. Ahhhhh. Some people find product sales really stressful but I don't find it different from any other spa I've ever visited. Really, a simple "no, thanks, I don't need any products" is sufficient to end the subject and there are no hard feelings. On the guy side of things, DH used to love the hot stone massages but on our last cruise only bamboo was available. He liked it very well, just not quite as much.
