And I don't mean those that are all over the radio, and really big hits right now, I mean songs that not too many other people know, or they may be older songs.

Personally, I love
Touch of Grey--The Greatful Dead
and
Hotel California--The Eagles

I like...

Seventy times seven - Brand New
Johnny Quest think's we're sell outs - Less Than Jake
Sell out - Reel Big Fish
Car Underwater - Armor for Sleep

5 years, 4 months, 3 days by Brian Setzer
Things Change by Dwight Yoakam

Vanessa Mae - Toccata and Fugue in D minor
Jimmy Barnes - Many Rivers to Cross
Sting & Shawn Colvin - One Day She'll Love Me
Metallica - Unforgiven

Hotel California--The Eagles

Reminds me of the Hollywood Tower Hotel :rotfl:

Oh gosh there is no way on earth I could ever pick one...or even just a few. I love all kinds of music from country, to gospel, R&B, rock and roll, and through some jazz in too. There is just too much to choose from for me. :flower:

Hotel California

On a dark desert highway
Cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas
Rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance
I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy, and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself
This could be Heaven or this could be Hell
Then she lit up a candle
And she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor
I thought I heard them say

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely place (background)
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
Any time of year
Any time of year (background)
You can find it here
You can find it here

Her mind is Tiffany twisted
She's got the Mercedes bends
She's got a lot of pretty, pretty boys
That she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard
Sweet summer sweat
Some dance to remember
Some dance to forget
So I called up the Captain
Please bring me my wine
He said
We haven't had that spirit here since 1969
And still those voices are calling from far away
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely Place
Such a lovely Place (background)
Such a lovely face
They're livin' it up at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise
What a nice surprise (background)
Bring your alibies

Mirrors on the ceiling
Pink champagne on ice
And she said
We are all just prisoners here
Of our own device
And in the master's chambers
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives
But they just can't kill the beast
Last thing I remember
I was running for the door
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before
Relax said the nightman
We are programed to recieve
You can check out any time you like
But you can never leave

That's the line that sounds like something a Tower bellhop would say :rotfl:

Have you heard the Hotel California "do-over" by Less Than Jake, it's very good for a cover.

If there was ever a Tower of Terror show, that'd be the themesong :rotfl:

Through the Fire~ Chaka Khan
The Search is Over~ ?
Heaven~ Bryan Adam

and many more...

It's really really hard to narrow them down, but let's say...
Stay (Far Away, So Close)-U2
Nightswimming-REM

PS Dizneyholic, where did you get that U2? I love it!! I kind of want to steal it.

When you Wish Upon a Star

I sing this to my girls all the time and I believe the lyrics to be true. I find this song to be a real inspiration - especially when times may be difficult or overwhelming.

Wildfire - Michael Martin Murphy
The Last Unicorn - America
Unloved - Brooks & Dunn
Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton

Oh and Hotel California is a TERRIFIC song!

I havent heard the remake but I did hear the Eagles sing it live Thursday night. They were Amazing :rockband:

Lisa Marie Presley just redid Dirty Laundry. Some songs should not be re made by other groups.
