What are some of your favorite SNL (Saturday Night Live) characters?

1. Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker, by Chris Farley
"Well, la-de-freakin'-da!"
See my avatar. No, that is not a selfie!

2. Linda Richman, host of Coffee Talk, by Mike Myers
"I'm a little verklempt. Talk amongst yourselves." "Give me a call, we'll talk, no big whoop."

3. Debbie Downer, Buzz kill goddess, by Rachel Dratch
"By the way, it's official — they've located my birth mother. Deceased."

4. Stuart Smalley, Host of "Daily Affirmations," a caring nurturer and a member of several 12-step programs — but not a licensed therapist, by Al Franken
"I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it — people like me!"

5. The Culps, "The Culp Family Musical Performances", Will Farrell and Ana Gasteyer

In no particular order: Wayne & Garth, Operaman, Leonard Mainway, Mr. Robinson, "Burt Reynolds" & "Sean Connery" on Celebrity Jeopardy, and lately I like Riblet.

I miss Farley, he was great! I love "The Chris Farley Show" and "Matt Foley"....VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!

I watched it in the 70's and up so there have been so many greats on that show.

As stupid as it was "Coffee Talk" always made me laugh.

Pat, Linda Richman, Church Lady, and Sally O'Malley were my favorites.

No particular order: Stefon,Riblet, Taran Killim, the movie critic from way back in the day on weekend update. He also played a one time only character from the South who got stuck on the interstate in Ga a few years ago in his white Escalaaaade, lol.

Of course Matt Foley, Sean Connery,Gumby, Mr Robinson,Rosanna Rosanna Danna, Fernando Lamas aka Billy Crystal, etc

As for recurring characters I always laugh at Toonces the driving cat, Delicious Dish (aka Shweaty Balls), the Spartan Cheeleaders, Target Lady, and Marty & Bobby Culp the middle school teachers at the assembly's.

Among others, I liked Bronx Beat, a talk show with Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph.

Currently, it's Jebidiah Atkinson, (Taran Killam), the 1800s entertainment critic on Weekend Update who's never liked ANY movie, song, play, TV show, book, etc.

My favorite characters are when the actors parody current political candidates. They completely nail it. Tina Fey's Sarah Palin is a classic. And although I am not a fan of the original, got to give her props as she was definitely a good sport about Fey's caricatures.

Coneheads. "We are from France"
Chevy Chase Weekend Update. "Generalisimo Francisco Franco is still dead"
John Belushi, Samurai ANYTHING
Eddie Murphy as Mr. Rogers...."Can you say drive by shooting? I knew you could"

Father Guido Sarduchi,
And for the crude factor:Jason Sudekis with Will Forte doing ESPN parodies.

Love when Justin.Timberlake is on and does the singing walking billboard.

Son, your dad tells me you want to be a writer. Well I understand you're not using that paper for writing" you're using it for ROLLING DOOBIES! And you're going to have plenty of time to roll DOOBIES when you're living in a van down by the river!

Too many favs to list but you nabbed a few of the best there.

Matt Foley Motivational Speaker was legendary.

Still, as far as recent SNL episodes go, I'm partial to Kenan Thomson's "Diondre Cole" ...
