I'm trying to come up with a regular TS or Signature Dining on DDP for our Evening at Epcot.
I'm not finding anything in the park that really stands out that we haven't tried already or my dd10 will eat. She's not super picky, but eating fish where the fish are wasn't her cup of tea. that's fine.
I would love to try a Signature dining and thought I would ask the experts on my favorite board. :goodvibes
If you were in Epcot and wanted sig. dining where would you go on DDP?
It's our first night in Epcot so we'll be done with the park by dinner time so we don't have to come back to the park.
Thank y'all for your help. :goodvibes

Me and my grandmother both think Citricos is absolutely amazing. The quality and taste of the food is outstanding. The presentation is interesting. The service is top notch. Both times we have gone, the chef has come out to our table to speak with us. They even gave us a free amuse bouche last week when we were there. Our servers have been wonderful, we were never wanting for anything, even with all the other tables full. They make us feel special and I don't think I can go to Disney without eating there now.

I would try chefs de france, it is 1TS, and worth a try. although I don't think that it is a "signature" dining. It does have interesting food.

Also the Italian rest in Epcot looks amazing, you might want to try that.

You might want to walk or take a boat to the boardwalk and try a restaurant down there!

My absolute favorite is Citricos-excellent food and service, but it is at the Grand Floridian.

If you are looking for signature dining at Epcot, you are going to have to visit the Yachtsman Steakhouse or Flying Fish.

If you plan on staying in the park try Le Cellier or Le Chefs De France

The only signature restaurant in Epcot is Bistro de Paris which does not participate in the DxDDP. Our favorite for dinner at Epcot is Tutto Italia. For lunch, we love Chefs de France.

Most signature restaurants are in the hotels. My two favorites are Citricos and California Grill. To get to either, take the monorail to the TTC and transfer to the resort monorail exiting at the GF or Contemporary respectively.

But all the signature restaurants are good. It's easy to get to any from Epcot. Getting back to your own hotel is another manner.;)

If you are talking about those that are on the dining plan, my top 3, in order, are:

Flying Fish, Citricos, Jiko

For Flying Fish, I prefer to eat fish over anything else and they offer a nice selection (and the quality is much better than Narcoosees). They also have the best cheese platter and offer a huge selection of wine flights. Many posters have said their steak entree is excellent also. It's also the closest to Epcot area (where we usually are). Citricos has an overall nicely sophisticated menu and on a good night, is a quiet place to eat. Jiko has the best appetizers and an amazing African wine selection but is a long way from Epcot.

Jiko's food was out of this world delicious. But it is out of the way at Animal Kingdom Lodge (unles you're staying there). It was quiet and romantic but very accomodating for our DS4. There are some fun things to do at AK Lodge although we didn't do them -- like nightwatch of animals, a parade, story telling around a fire pit, and other things like that. The gift shop at AK Lodge is big and has a lot of nice things we didn't see elsewhere.

California Grill was great... noisy but that made it perfect for children who might also be noisy. Sounds from the open kitchen and table conversations echo in there. The food was VERY good. Sushi was excellent.

If you want to stay close to EPCOT I would really recommend Flying Fish. We go quite often and have always had an excellent meal and excellent service.

I would second this. It is just a short walk or boat ride from the IG in Epcot.

(I am assuming fish is ok if the fish are not watching.)

Oh man this is tough...we really love them all

I will rate them like this

BlueZoo
Flying Fish
Il Mulino
Jiko
Cali Grill

I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU!! :goodvibes
I appreciate y'all taking your time to answer me and give me your best ideas!

I think I'm leaning more towards either the Flying Fish, (it's getting rave reviews here and it's in a part of WDW that the family has never been)
OR Citricos!

Again thank you all for your time and input, I know the help of fellow DISers will make our trip the best, you've all been good to us so far! ;) :lovestruc

Also, for those of you suggesting Tutto's....I already have my eyes set on it and will be making a ADR for it on our second EPCOT day. :yay: I'm really looking forward to eating here.

i agree.
Jiko is #1 for service, food, and great romantic place for a couple.

Cal grill, to me is only good for view.

I'd rather eat Jiko, then visit Cal Gill deck to watch fireworks than spend that much money there to eat.

I need to ask another bit of information....

Do Citricos and Flying Fish have good portion sizes?

I have two big men in the family who think that the sit down meal in a fancy place will barely have anything on the plate and then cost two TS! :rotfl:

What do y'all think?

Another vote for Flying Fish. I think portion size for both Citricos and FF are good. The veal shank at Citricos is huge and the potato wrapped snapper is plenty, as is the char-crusted steak at FF. Both are signature dishes for the FF and I've heard nothing but raves for them both. And the FF is so easy to get to from the IG.

Yatschman it over off the Boardwalk. It's really good. And if you want to make sure there is plenty of food, they do have a 24 oz. porterhouse!

I second this. Yachtsman Steakhouse is amazing and very satisfying :) It is a really short walk over to Epcot as well

I love hearing from my fellow DISers!!:banana::banana:

Thank you for all your support.
I've got a tough choice to make... :scratchin

I personally would seriously recommend California Grill. It's so close to Epcot- just a monorail ride away. The ambience is great. You can overlook the theme park, as well as check out the Contemporary. With a child, the restaurant isn't too overwhelming. It's a signature restaurant, but it's upscale and friendly with children. The children menu there isn't bad either, and the adults in your group can get the signature-level entrees at the same time. The portions are decent- normal by any standards. There's a lot to choose from too from typical dishes (steak) to sushi. I would highly recommend this restaurant seeing as you have a dd10. Citricos is a great restaurant, but it's more "upscale" in the sense that it isn't so "hustly and bustly" like CG. I'd recommend this restaurant for couples or a party of adults. No necessarily a family. That being said, if you are looking for that type of atmosphere, then by all means go for it.

I can't speak much about Flyin' Fish. The restaurant looks cool. Just make sure you check out the menu on allears to make sure everyone's ok with it.
