What is your favorite restaurant to eat at in EPCOT?

Why and what is your favorite dish????

Please help me decide where to make my ressie!

I want to schedule a non character meal when we go to Epcot (since we are already going to Chef Mickey and Cinderella's Royal Table), We have 6 adults and 2 children(8 and 5yrs old) in our party.

Ours is definitely Le Cellier in Canada for the cheese soup and mushroom filet! YUM!!

But we also really like the Biergarten for the show and it's more relaxed atmosphere. Food is buffet so there is something for everyone.

Ours is LeCellier. Both DH and my favorite is the Mushroom Fillet.

It has been several years since DH and I went to Disney, but I would look for something that has a little bit of entertainment value as well...Biergarten in Germany, Teppan Edo in Japan, Coral Reef all have something different to offer. I would look at the menus to see what appeals most to your group.

We actually have an ADR for Coral Reef, but may ditch it in favor of Kona Cafe or Teppan Edo after looking at the kids menu--I think that my kids will be "grilled chickened out" by the end of the trip!

thanks this must be what you are talking about: That does sound yummyLe Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - Baby portobella wild mushroom risotto with white truffle and herb butter sauce topped with fried parsnips. - $27.99

we are eating so many buffets too so a regular sit down meal sounds nice

I know others in my group are pro Biergarten ( my mom, aunt, uncle, cousin) but I'm not so sure that DH or DS or DD will like the food there. The entertainment would be nice.

The food here actually surprised us. Many things that we all liked. I do like German food, but DH and DS not so much. They found plenty to eat and this has become one of their favorite places. Don't let the food scare you! But I can see where you may not want another buffet and would rather do a sitdown meal.

Thanks I think the buffet is the biggest thing that we would like stay away from

After explaining some of the choices to DH, he says that if the Japanese steak house ~ Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki Dining Room~ is anything like the House of Kobe ~then we should go there ~ plus i bet the chef's are really entertaining. I thought for sure he would be for the portabella and mushroom fillet at the Le Cellier Steakhouse!

oh great no votes for Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki Dining Room yet!:headache:

anyone ever gone there and have some feedback on the food and atmosphere? :confused3

what is the Candlelight Processional? Does it have anything to do with Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki? Sorry I read something and I am confused?:confused3

:flower3:

Not sure if yours is a sushi family- but we are hitting Tokyo DIning this Jan based on the great reviews. We used to love the old japanese steakhouse and I am sure the new one will be terrific as well. That would be Teppen Edo now I believe

I haven't tried Le Cellar yet (April 2008) so I voted for Coral Reef. We love going there and dd loves seeing all the fish. The Mahi Mahi was excellent!

Definately LeCellier!!! Mmmmmm, I can almost taste the Mushroom Filet, and the Creme Brulee right now:cloud9:

well I went ahead and made a reservation at Le Cellier Steakhouse for our day at Epcot. They were already filling up for my date and there is a chance our party of 8 may have to dine at separate tables, but I got the time I wanted. I think I'm gonna have to order the mushroom fillet or at least have some of DH's.

keep the poll going though and I'll keep checking back.

Thanks for all of your feedback!:flower3:

Yes it is the Teppen Edo and I found our that they do not accept the DDP there ~ so I ruled it out.

would've voted tutto italia, but alfredo's is there :guilty: (while alfredo's was okay, just don't feel it is of the same caliber as TI)

coral reef & chef's are VG, IMHO. CR's chocolate wave is sensational enough that i really don't recall what else i ate... lol
chef's has a nice atmosphere (crowded, but interesting) & good presentation & food.

tho le celier is the baby of the DIS:) , we found it pedestrian. even tried LC multiple times, figuring we must be missing something..:confused3 , but no, for us the food is just OK, in our experiences ~ not great, not bad....just average & uninspired. (it is the smallest restaurant, so between that & its popularity tends to book quickly).

we're trying biergarten for the 1st time in may ~ are looking foward to it :thumbsup2

btw, you should consider either/or boma & jiko ~ both are interesting, with a great atmosphere & unusual food.

I was torn on what to pick. My 2 favorites in Epcot are Restaurant Marrakesh and San Angel Inn. I love the themeing and food of both a lot. We ate at both 2xs each on our trip in October.
At Restaurant Marrakesh my fav foods are Beef Brewat Rolls (appetizer), Chicken Kababs (entree) and Crepes Atlas (dessert).
At San Angel Inn I love the chips and salsa they bring out to you when you're seated and I always order the Tacos Al Carbon with chicken.
Geesh, I need to make it back to Epcot ASAP! I really miss the food......can you tell I spend most evenings at Epcot for dinner. Thank goodness for park hoppers. :rolleyes1

We ate at Marrakesh last year and it was bad.....the food had no flavour. I had a chicken appetizer that was gross. The service was also very slow. The only good thing was the dessert I had, that wasn't too bad!!! But I will never go back there!

I'm sorry to hear that. We had great service and food, maybe had to do with the fact that both times we were there, they were doing some kind of food demo during Food & Wine festival. I've heard the CS in Morocco is better, thinking we'll try that next time.

DH is 100% German so he loves to go to the Beirgarten...very good food and entertainment. I do cook a few German dishes at home but here DH can get everything at one sitting. We have gone many times over the last 15 years and never encountered a bad meal, even when it was a regular order off the menu place. THe sauerbraten is so tender, the best pork I ever had, the pretzel bread is identical to Le Cellier, the potato leek soup is amazing, finish that off with apple strudel covered in warm vanilla sauce and I am in heaven!
