For the repeaters, what was your experience with the moderate priced hotels. Was there something in any of them that wouldn't make you go back? Was it too noisy, the pool too crowded, the restaurant poor or bad service? Which moderate priced hotel was so good that you want to go back? Also, is there one where the walk to the bus was long or the ride to the parks were long and you wouldn't do it again?

I loved my stay at POR. My best friend and I are both in our mid-20's and it was perfect for us. we never went to the main pool, but the quiet pool was just steps from our room and it was great! Both the property and our room were clean, quiet and charming. We weren't crazy about Boatwright's, but the food court was great. It also was within our budget. The only reason I'm not going back to POR for my next trip is because I want to try something different.

We loved CBR. I have stayed there several times with my parents (usually only one or two nights before checking in to the Poly) and DH and I spend our 1st anniversary there last summer. We have always found the rooms to be nice and clean. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing and we love the tropical theming. DH and I usually don't spend a lot of time at the hotel, so we really feel like moderates (and especially CBR) are just perfect - great quality and a great price. I have never experienced a problem with transportation - I don't think we have ever waited more than 10-15 minutes max for a bus. Last summer we were in a great location - Trinidad North. We were maybe 5 minutes away from the food court and main pool and not 15 seconds away from the bus stop. However, it was still really quiet. We were never disturbed by noise. I think in some ways the outside corridors make the moderates quieter than some of the deluxes (depending on where you are). We also love the quiet pools. Each village has one. There have been many times when we were the only people in the quiet pool!

My sister and I are planning on staying at POFQ for our Christmas trip. I think the moderates are great!

I've stayed at CBR twice and love this resort. It's beautiful, relaxing, the CMs have always been very friendly, offers a great view of the Epcot fireworks, largest rooms of all the moderates, I really could go on and on :sunny:

I didn't experience anything that would cause me to not go back. However, my DH has turned into a resort snob and only wants to stay at Deluxe resorts from now on. But if I ever do a "mom and sons" trip, we would stay at CBR again.

I have several pictures from our stays at CBR on my web site, the link is below in my signature. There are CBR pics in the "May 2001" section and then when you click on the CBR icon, there are pics and info from Feb 2002. Enjoy! :)

We have stayed at all the moderates and love them. Riverside is my favorite because of it's theming. I think it is a perfect compromise between amenities and price. The grounds are lovely, there are various meal options, and the pools are themed and have slides, important for the kids. Coronado Springs has one of the nicest pool complexes on Disney property! All the moderates are clean and comfy and each has nice little touches that make them unique.

Good advice I have seen on the boards is to consider how you vacation. If you do parks 24/7, a moderate resort will be great. If you spend more time at the resort, a deluxe may be worth the upgrade because of balcony, lobby, marina, etc.

I have stayed at all the moderates. There was nothing that would stop me from staying at any of them. I find them a great place to stay.

Our favorite is CBR but I don't think you can wrong with any of them.

We love our POR!!! 3rd time stying there in a row......coming soon!!:)

The only thing I don't like about the moderates is the bus line at night coming home from the parks~they can be a drag with a sleeping baby in a stroller and other exhausted children in toe. Other than that, I love POR the best. The resort theming there was awesome, very calm and serene. Of course I like CBR too so it's just a matter of what theming you're looking for.

Hi,
We have stayed at all of the moderates, and enjoyed them all.
Our favorite is Port Orleans. We love the landscaping there.
