Our favorite Disney picture is one of my husband with a "toy" soldier from Toy Story. The soldier was standing very still, like a statue and my dh stood next to him mimicing his pose. When I snapped the picture, the soldier very quickly put "rabbit ears" behind my unsuspecting dh's head.
Not exactly a disney "prop", but it is a very funny picture.
I took a picture of our then 3yr old, in (behind) the big TV in All Star Movies Dalmation Section. And from our honeymoon in 1995, we have a picture of us with the NY city street behind us. I don't know if they are still there or not, but it was a great picture.
I mentioned this in another thread, but...when touring through the World Showcase, we find something to wear in each country while having our picture taken. In Norway, the guys donned the opera singer blonde braids wig.
Some of our best have been at All Star Movies and Pop Century. They have great props.
We did the grandpa lego guy snoring with my step dad, because he is always falling asleep..
There is a bench with the princesses in the big store in Downtown Disney. The Kodak store in MK is a great place for props, and we've never not seen characters in there. Donald one time. There is a car in there that has a backdrop of people cheering. Makes you look like you are in the parade.
i dont know if this still is around but at the comtemporary but when i was like i have a picture of my brother and i on this silver sculpture of mickey and it has 2 giant circles that we sat in.
some of the ones we always do.....
DD with the Pluto statue in front of the castle.
DD and DH on the bridge going to Liberty Square with the castle in the background. We do this one especially to watch how my DD has grown over the years!!
DD and myself always do the "Singin' in the Rain" umbrella at MGM.
And I always take on of my DD doing a hand stand in the pool at the resort. So of course...it is a picture of her feet.
once we made a sand castle on the beach at the Poly...then took a picture with Cinderella Castle in the back ground.
When we go in June....DD has a new digital camera that she really wants to have some fun with!! So these are great ideas!
There is a picture posted in this thread....
It is Roy and Minnie.
I took a picture of DD sitting next to Minnie as though she is also talking with Roy.
We like to take a picture of my daughter with her head in the mouth of the T-rex skull at the dig site every time we go. Also the stockades in Liberty square. I think I have a picture there from every trip I took from 1974 to last year. I want to frame them all together.
Sorry for this rant, but I want to pass a word of warning about taking pictures with the hat in stores. Just remember that if you thought of it, so did thousands of other people.
We learned the hard way. On one of our trips, we had the kids doing alot of these shots. We went home with hundreds of tiny visitors living on our kid's heads, if you know what I mean. I can't bring myself to say their name after the fight we had to put up to get "RID" of them
My wife and I were never infected and we were in all the same places and same beds as the kids. All we can figure is that it was in the hats. Now if we buy a hat, we ask a CM to get one from the stock in the back.
BTW... If anyone out there is having a tough time with them, the thing that finally worked was hair dye. We tried every type of medecine (Rid, generic, etc.) and nit combing daily with no success.
Our first trip to WDW was last summer. Our favorite pics were of our DD (3 at the time) on the speeder at MGM's Star Tours, on the RC Car from Toy Story @ ASMovies, the wishing well at MK (she also acted like she was tossing a coin/making A wish) and in her stroller "reading" a map of the parks.
I can't wait to give some of these a try...I bought extra memory cards for my digital last Thansksgiving for our DCL trip...I think 700 shots should do the trick...enough to take some silly shots and some of the food...oh, and I guess some of the family being normal, too.
I think allearsnet has some funny shots along the line of this thread...you might want to check it out...I saw them in my newsletter.
These are my 2 DD's with their friends last fall at Epcot...you can guess where they are.
I posted this a while ago on the CB and had a caption this: with it. My favorite was
Banditas take Epcot: Pose with borrowed headgear.
Identifying features: Shaved legs and dazzling smiles.
