I am talking since October 1, 1971 here people. What would you say has been your favorite most memorable meal? Leave pictures or don't but I want to know what you had to eat and why it was what it was.

Letsssss GO! :3dglasses

Our dinners at Shula's in the Dolphin. We have eaten there twice and we are scheduled to eat there on our upcoming trip. I did not think that the second experiance could be as good as the first but it was and I liked ours table's location better so I guess overall our second experiance was better then the first.

LOL, aribelle - My husband (then DF) ordered iced coffee and the waitperson brought him a hot cup of coffee and a glass of ice. He never gets mad - but I could almost see the smoke coming from his ears! This was before we got DDE and the kid did not get a great tip!

Le Cellier. No surprise there. ;)

Cheddar cheese soup as an appetizer w/ pretzel bread, NY Strip for dinner w/ Yukon potatoes, and this S'mores dessert where the marshmallow was on a big stick, sticking through chocolately, graham cracker goodness!! :goodvibes BEST MEAL EVER EVER.

Jiko!!!! Honestly, it's been the only outstanding meal we've had at Disney though we've had several very good ones (Raglan Road, Kona, Coral Reef, Narcoossees, Brown Derby).

We'll be trying Flying Fish - so glad to see it appear as a poster's fave - and CG next trip and I'd love to add them to the list.

If I am just judging based on the food I think my best experience was at Shula's at the Dolphin. The steaks were amazing and the sides were unbelievable. I've said it before and I'll say it again; I've had some of the most expensive steak NYC has to offer and the steak at Shula's was easily as good as any of those other steaks.

2 Meals REALLy stand out in my mind and unfortunately neither occurred recently.

1st was at Tangoroa Terrace in the late 70s or early 80s we ate there for breakfast and they had some of the best link sausages on the face of the earth. As a chef, I am still trying to recreate them to no avail.

2nd was in early 96, my wife at the time and I ate at King Stefans Banquet Hall in the castle ( before it was overun by princesses and medicore food) The atmospere was awesome and we were served the 2nd best prime rib I have EVER eaten . ( the best being at a seafood place in WIlmington, SC called Elijah's)

1. california griill
2. flying fish
3. citrico
4. my first meal at mk. turkey leg then chocholate chip cookie ice cream sandwich for dessert.

LeCellier-

My DD7 still talks about the pretzel bread. I still think about the chocolate mousse (in the shape of a mouse) for dessert. DH still thinks of the creme brulee. DS 11 thinks about ALL of it!

Myself - Coral Reef - crab cake, asian (fish) over Israeli couscous, creme brulee
DW - Alfredo's (:sad1: ) - bellini to start, pasta with shrimp, chocolate mousse :cloud9:

Our best dinner at WDW was the first time we went to California Grill. I don't even remember everthing we got--I do remember a delicious California Roll and chocolate souffle with peanut butter ice cream!

I truly can't decide.....The charbroiled steak at Flying Fish.....or The Surf n Turf at Narcosee's.
YUMMY:goodvibes

My best meal was September 2006 at Kona Cafe:

Started with the seafood bisque/chowder, it was OMG! Followed by the Macadamia Mahi Mahi and the Cheesecake for dessert. It was the best meal i've ever had in my life! :cloud9:

They've now taken the Macadamia Mahi Mahi off the menu :sad2:

My favorite meal was by far Spoodles last year. I never thought that I would get the best seafood here but I did. I got the Muscles for an app and they were the best I have ever had. I then had the Lemon Garlic Shrimp Linguini. It was the best seafood pasta I have ever had. I have heard many bad reviews of this resturant but I was very impressed.

In a close second was our first TS meal ever at Coral Reef. This was not only because of the food but the overall experience. We had a table right next to the aquarium. The food was pretty good but the service was amazing. For some reason I was so thirsty and just wanted water (maybe the heat did it to me) and our waiter was very gracious about bringing it to me every 5 min. He even was playful about it and brought me 2 and 3 at a time. One of the best experiences I have had. Probabally the fact that I had nothing to compare it to helped because I was not expecting the exceptional experience tha ti was offered.

1. Victoria & Albert's in Oct. 98 for honeymoon, first time experience was the best.
2. Cinderella's Castle in Oct. 98, no princess, but we did get Cinderella Champagne flutes because it was our honeymoon.
3. Flying Fish in Oct. 2000, the service was so good that my father who does not tip well actually tipped enough to have the waiter come back to the table to thank him for his generosity.
4. Ohana's Oct. 98, DH loved it, went back in Oct. 2000, was disappointed.

:cool1:

The Chinese restaurant! I can't remember the name. We ate there in November. I usually bypass Chinese places because I just don't care for it. It must be the places here around home. My husband wanted to try it and I caved in thinking I would not like it and boy was I ever wrong. The honey sesame chicken is out of this world.

Fulton's. Overpriced but the shrimp plate and lobster soup! YUMMY :goodvibes

narcoosees - crab cakes, whole lobster, almond crusted cheesecake

heaven. :cloud9:

Will you think I'm sappy if I say our Ohana's breakfast last August? It was totally relaxing because we didn't have park tickets, so no rush. I just sat at the window table looking at the Poly's grounds, having a relaxing chat with my 20 year old (which never happens!) and enjoying yummy food. I think it was the highlight of our trip for me. Then, to top it all off, over comes Lilo and Stitch, who are special to us since I'm a foster mom. It was the perfect celebration of our little family!

I agree and had the same thing!!!

Although for experience I would say the breakfast we had in the castle with my 2 oldest years ago-My daughter LOVED the princesses we had a window seat and watching the carosel while we ate was just magic!

Coral Reef - September 2006 Started with the seafood bisque, then the tuna with the wasabi mashed potatoes and topped it off with the creme brulee. Everything fantastic!
