We have a lunch ressie in August, but I am wondering if we should do breakfast or dinner instead? Any opinions?

I'm not a big fan of lunch anywhere as I feel it cuts into my day so we've only done breakfast and lunch at CP.

My girls much prefered breakfast. They loved the choices. Dinner is nice too but they just prefered the food at breakfast and they loved being in the park so early.

I believe that lunch and dinner at CP are almost the same food choices.

We like them all! We just did breakfast for the first time April 1. We are going back in August with free dining and I'm thinking of doing lunch there. The first time we ate there was for lunch in Aug. 2003, and it was so pleasant and relaxing to be there after being in the heat all morning. If they got better coffee than that Nescafe, I might rate breakfast as the top choice! :rotfl:

My DH2B and me ate there in Dec. 2006, it was awesome. We had dinner and it was our favorite out of all the places we ate. :tink: pixiedust:

I'm relieved to hear this. CP dinner was our favorite meal at WDW. I had to book it for lunch during the free dining (since Chef Mickey's is the same day and doesn't have a lunch option). I was concerned that there might be a more limited selection at lunch time.

Lunch is my favorite meal at CP.

Breakfast always feels a little wild at CP to me -- lots of families with young'uns who are all whipped up into a frenzy for a day in the MK, shrieking and flinging themselves at Pooh and Tigger. Dinner feels a little too slow, a little, well, as if the characters and servers are tired. Not that they're ever anything less than wonderful!!! They're always completely fabulous regardless of how long the day has been. (The patrons at dinner are definitely tired. We've only run into grumpy people at dinner.)

But lunch somehow feels fresh and relaxing without feeling hurried or harried. That might just be my perception. Over the years, we've had two breakfasts there, two dinners, and two lunches. And this year? We're doing lunch at CP again. The timing really makes a difference for us.

Enjoy whichever meal time you choose!

We've only done lunch. We enjoyed the food and experience very much, so we have a lunch ADR for August. When we ate there in June 2004, it was our first character dining experience. We never felt rushed. The meal was great and the characters spent alot of time with us.

We have always timed it to eat lunch to be finished for the parade at 3pm. The food has always been so good, we have never tried breakast or dinner. his year I have forced myself to try breakfast as I have heard good things about beakfast lasagne. :)

We have done them all, but breakfast is our favorite followed by dinner. There is something about being in the MK at 8:05 a.m. when it doesn't open to the public until 9:00. You can get some great photos of any empty Main St. :wizard: I am also addicted to the deep fried french toast and the cheesy potatoes. DS thinks the bacon is the best he had ever eaten.

We will be at CP on 6/27 at 10:05 am - we do an early entry morning at MK then do a late breakfast.
Pooh and friends are great.
My family likes the Mickey waffles and breakfast the best.
Oh yeah - since we have a 10:05 - we will be seated around 10:20 am - have some breakfast - linger about and lunch buffet starts to arrive at 11:10 am.
We get to select from both offerings !

So we are up at 6 am - get to Mk at 7:30 am - do a bunch of rides and then
have breakfast/lunch (and cool off) at CP.

There are nice benches outside the main entrance to CP to sit on and wait for your name to be called.
Just check in at the podium when you get to CP.
I do not remember them giving us a beeper thing - I think they just call our last names, so stick close to the front entrance.
Just about everyone has an ADR - so it is an approximate time - always count in a 10-20 minute wait for a table.

enjoy :wizard:

We have done breakfast and lunch at CP. I think I like lunch better, but it also may be a function of our timing--we like to tour the park early and not waste time at breakfast then do a nice lunch (we have done the last breakfast seating too). The food is excellent, especially nice and varied salad bar area. :thumbsup2 I agree it's less chaotic at lunchtime as well. (no guarantees on that though, lol)

we just had breakfast there on Easter morning. We had one of the last seatings at 10:40am. The food was awesome and still very plentiful. We had great character interaction and wonderful service. Half the resteraunt was closed down by the time we were getting ready to leave, but they never rushed us and we had such a great time. Plus we never ate "lunch" that day and just had dinner at 7pm.

Lunch is our favorite by far. nothing like getting into somewhere nice and cool- give the kids a break and have a nice lunch. :sunny:

CP is by and large our favorite breakfast meal at WDW. It has the widest variety of options for those who don't eat pork, and lots of fresh veggies. (The breakfast lasagna is good too, it's layers of custard, fruit and pancake/waffles) Oh, yeah, and there's characters, lol. This is one character meal we go to for the food, not the characters. We have dinner ADR there in August so it's good to hear that we can't go wrong for dinner either.
