Mel Brooks is a genius. Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn, Terri Garr

Every line is funny.

Do not use this brain!! Abnormal.

Whose brain did you take?

Oh, Abby somebody. Abby Normal.

I love that movie!!!

But I hate the very begining of the movie when he stabs his leg though! It always makes me cringe.

My favorite part is when he says, "Look at that face!....Oh, thats the face of a mother's angel!!!" :) My grandmother and mother say that to me all the time! And I say that to Ruby (my dog)! :teeth: When I have kids, I'll say it to them too!

"MY GOD! Look at the size of those knockers!" :teeth:

"Could be worse...could be raining"

Frau Blücher!

Marty Feldman was perfect for that role.

I own the DVD and my kids watch it when we drive down to Disney. :thumbsup2

Putting on the Riiiiiiiiiitz. (hmmm that doesn't work as well when it is typed)

I hate that part, too!!!

I ABSOLUTELY love the movie :rotfl:

But yet, I look at the main characters and see tragedy :guilty: Gene Wilder's wife died of Ovarian Cancer. Madeline Khan--Ovarian Cancer. Marty Feldman had a reaction to shellfish, which ultimately caused a heart attack. Terri Garr has MS. I don't know why, but I sometimes feel so sad watching it. Everyone so full of life, yet now all have been touched by something horrible.

Just call me Debbie Downer

OMG! I love that movie.

Last month I was working in the ER when a patient that had OD'd on a bunch of psych meds came in...she was out of her mind obnoxious...she was ranting about this and that, threatening to kill us etc. Our staff physician told her if she didn't calm down we have to restrain her. She responded "**** -you Dr. Frankenstien!" I piped up " That's Fraank-en-schtein." And despite the fact that there were at least 8 people in the room, no-one got the joke.

The voices in my head thought I was hilarious, though. They always do :thumbsup2 .

Thats our favorite part of the movie, when Gene Wilder and Peter Boyle are on the stage singing "Putting on the Ritz" Sometimes our family just says that to eachother, everyone just kind of looks at us like we are very strange!

"Aaaaahh, sweet mystery of life, at last I've found yooooouuu!!"

"Roll in ze hay! Roll in ze hay! Roll, roll, roll in ze hay!"

BEST. MOVIE. EVER.

My favorite line always was:

"Igor, help me with the bags."

"Certainly, you take the blond, I'll take the one in the turban."

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Absolutely one of my favorite movies!! My DD thinks I'm nuts!! I guess she doesn't have my sense of humor!!

My favorite line....

"What Knockers!"
"ohhh thank you Dr."

:rotfl2: :happytv: :rotfl2:

Great movie, time to see it again!

Werewolf!
Werewolf?
There.
What?
There, wolf. There, castle.
Why are you talking that way.
I thought you wanted to.
No, I don't want to.
Suit yourself. I'm easy.

In our family, whenever someone just doesn't get a very simple direction we say very slowly ...... "Put .... the .... candle .... back ....! "

This is my favorite scene (aside from the dart game :rotfl2: ):

Igor: What is this?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Schwartzwald Kirchetort.
The Monster: [off-screen] MMMMMMM!
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Oh, do you like it? I'm not partial to desserts myself, but this is excellent.
Igor: Who are you talking to?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: To you. You just made a yummy sound, so I thought you liked the dessert.
Igor: I didn't make a yummy sound, I just asked you what it is.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: But you did. I just heard it.
Igor: It wasn't me.
Inga: It wasn't me.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Well, now look here. If it wasn't you, and it wasn't you...
[he asks himself]
The Monster: [off-camera] Mmmmmm!
