Wow, I try to do a little work and you guys fill up 2 pages!

The actor that played Hal lived with his mother. She died not too long before he killed himself. Rumor is that the scenes with Jennifer on her deathbed sunk him deeper into depression. He had actually already killed himself before those scenes even aired. Very emotional.

And Paul's name is Paul Ryan! He took Barbara's maiden name to distance himself from his father. James is supposed to come back from the dead once again this fall.

OK, back to my boring paper while the baby is asleep!

i'm confused right along with ya...who are john dixon, hal and barbara? i've watched Y&R for over 30 years (man, did i just date myself with that one!) and i can't remember them-maybe they weren't central characters and i didn't pay much attention to them, kinda like i do with cane, mac, billy and chloe these days, lol. actually, i'm sick of the whole show. i can't believe sharon is going to lie about the baby

We have been talking about Bold & The Beautiful and As The World Turns some too since they are on the same channel. Bold & The Beautiful came up earlier since there were some characters that go back and forth.

I don't like him. He may grow on me, but right now, he just isn't Adam. It has nothing to do with why he is in the part.

Hate Mac. She is ruining the character for me. I LOVE this Billy-but I hate to see him in scenes with Mac! I don't know why, but I love Chloe. I didn't blame her at all for busting Billy today.

And Mary Jane! I get that she is obsessed with Jack, but how can they redeem a character that puts a little girl at risk like that?

Gosh I had to look and see if I wrote this piece - its exactly how I am thinking - love Billy and Chloe and think they have great chemistry together as well.

The actor actually committed suicide so the show wrote him out by saying that he was killed saving someone while out of town I believe. It was so sad.

sorry for the confusion - by the time friday or satruday comes along and all the y&r talk has been exhausted something usually sparks a tangent sometimes y&r related like last weekend where we filled up 3 or 4 pages of old youtube clips or last night when we went off with Bold and Beautiful which is a natural transition since some actors like brad and the original vicky are curently over there or that characters like Lauren cross over and do shows together to As the world turns or Andy Gibb not sure how those got into the mix LOL

just people with nothing better to do i guess laundry can wait for another day.

Had to find this thread to complain, now that I'm off for teh summer and can watch YnR regularly....I HATE THE NEW ADAM!!!!!!!! UGH!!!!!!! I hate that when they do that! But I can't blame hom afyter I read the info on this thread of why he quit...I would've too. Things are getting way weird. You'd think they could find a better actor.

I'm with everyone else on the blind thing...how he can see some of these things like e-mails and can punch in #s on the phone. And the whole Rafe love thing is just a little too creepy for me...especially since they just switched characters. How cheap, YnR writers!!!!

Good for Noah...it's about time someone said something about his parents' bed hopping.

And I just have to say, I love Mary Jane and her kitty...what were the writers thinking???!!!!! And who is she really?????

LOVED him back in the day.

come on you guys - there are lots of things for the blind and non blind that we all can use.

voice activated calling - i've had on my phone for years. just hit one button and say ''Call mom" and it calls.

my grandmother was almost totally blind and still managed to do everything for herself.

Anyone else think the phone call from Rafe saying that he has "feelings" for Adam too is just Rafe's way of getting close to Adam so he can search his room and such?

I am so tired of Sharon! I used to like her way, way back when - during the time that Cassie was alive - but now? Not only is she acting like a ditz, but all this "hopping" around is driving me nuts!!

Phillip is Back from the Dead on Y&R -- Now He's Gay!

Thom Bierdz feared coming out would ruin his career, but now he's returning to Y&R and his character, Phillip Chancellor III, is gay just like him! His character was killed in 1989 after "dying" in a drunk driving accident. A Y&R insider tells The Globe that "Phillip is GAY and faked his death because he couldn't continue living a lie!"

Bierdz, 47, was hired to reprise the role he played for 3 years and he couldn't be more thrilled. When he started on the show in 1986, he was told by various Y&R show bosses to keep his sexuality under wraps, which he did. Then weeks after leaving Y&R tragedy stuck when his younger brother Troy, 18, murdered their Mother by beating her to death with a baseball bat in their Kenosha, Wis home. Bierdz felt extremely guilty because shortly before his Mother's murder he'd revealed his sexuality to her during her first visit to L.A. The "insider" claims that Bierdz's Mother was so shocked that she immediately returned to Wisconsin and that he never saw her again.

Bierdz's brother Troy is now serving a life sentence in prison without the possibility of parole.

In 2002, tragedy struck again when Bierdz's older brother Craig committed suicide by shooting himself in the head.

With a six-month soap contract things are starting to look up. "The big question is - who will he hook up with on Y&R?" says the source, then adding that all bets are on attorney Rafe Torres, played by Yanni Gellman.
