'The Young and the Restless'' Real-Life Wedding

Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) were married on "The Young and the Restless," and Lily's recent diagnosis of ovarian cancer will, hopefully, bring the young couple closer together. Cancer also forged a strong bond between real-life couple Charlene Lee and Willie Williams. This weekend, the two were married in a big Las Vegas bash thanks to "Y&R."

Charlene and Willie, a NYPD officer, first met in the summer of 1993 and had a casual relationship. But life intervened, and they both moved on. In 2005, Charlene called Willie and the two met for dinner. Love blossomed. But on Nov. 5, 2008, Willie's birthday, Charlene was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her fight for her life made them acknowledge that their love was the forever kind. They became engaged on Valentine's Day this year.

This past Sunday, the couple took their vows at The Signature at the MGM Grand Las Vegas, and cast members from "The Young and the Restless" were present, because the couple was crowned the winners of the "Wedding of a Lifetime" contest, sponsored by the No. 1 daytime drama series, after successfully beating out more than 25,000 other couples who also submitted videos for the public to vote on.

"In his video, Willie says it is hard as a man because you want to take care of your wife, and as a police officer, you want to protect the people. He talked about how distressing it was that he couldn't do both. He was very uplifting. You can see they have a real affinity for each other," Goddard tells ET.

Representing the cast in Las Vegas were Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore) and Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin), but Goddard says it should have been him, because he could actually have married them!

"I offered to marry them, because I got ordained for my brother's wedding. I got ordained in the Universal Church of Enlightenment," he explains.

The package the couple received was worth about $20,000 and included round-trip coach airfare to Las Vegas, hotel accommodations in the luxurious and romantic suites of The Signature at MGM Grand, transportation to/from the Las Vegas airport in MGM Grand limousines, $1,000 spending money, a wedding ceremony, pampering and much more.

Goddard, who married his wife Rachael in Australia, says he thinks Las Vegas weddings are fun. In fact, he and his wife did a renewal ceremony in Sin City.

"Every year Rachael and I renew our vows," he says. "We do different sorts of ceremonies. The first year we went to Vegas and had an Elvis impersonator do it, the second year we went to Santa Fe and had a Native American ceremony. We have been to a Catholic monastery and had a nun do it, and we had an Amish one."

Christen was sending tweets all weekend long showing the happy couple at the wedding. It looks like they had a wonderful time!

Sharon tells Jack the truth about the baby because he's annoying her.

Nick and Summer are watching N/P's wedding video, because it makes brain-damaged Summer feel better. Phyllis comes home and thinks the scene of them together is cute but...tells him to make a choice - if he's going to be in their life, either be there or leave. Says Morrow, after that moment, "he realizes how tough and amazing Phyllis is...It's another reminder of why he fell in love with her in the first place. [He knows he should have never left Sharon but] he realizes he really was in love with Phyllis and he should've stayed with her." He passionately kisses Phyllis and proposes to her.

I'm shocked.;)

And I agree that kitty is a better actress than Mac. Kitty tweeting scares the bejesus out of me.

Hi HonnyDipp--I hope youre right abt Nick/Phyl. She has become one of my favorites. She’s come a long way from the character we got to know at first. She found her man, got her man and consistently fights to keep her man (whether he’s messing up or not). She dsnt stray randomly if she thinks theyre having a pblm, she’s in it for the long haul as long as she knows Nick wants to be there and will be there. Sharon annoys me like no other character! She is always having some sort of breakdown which leads to her sleeping around or some other deviant behavior, and even now when she had to figure which of THREE (count ‘em—3) men was the father of her baby, she’s still “Poor Sharon!” I just don’t get that!!

SO!, I gotta agree w/you guys re: the episode when they were @ the coffee shop and Jack asked MJ-“is that cat dead?” (or something like that). She answered like –“no, it’s alive….but tell me more about me”!! It was soap magic!! I was ROFL!

I’ve been waiting forever for the whole Cane thing to blow up in one way or another! Cane is only slightly more monotone and less boring than Mac! and I don’t know if I can stand him being there much longer. Now that ‘Chance’ is in town, its easier to see that Cane is WAAAAAY to old for Lily! But as for Lily, Neil is right to be so concerned and protective!...she hasn’t made a decent life decision yet! Altho I really like Christel Khalil (and dont want Lily to die of cancer), I hope the writers make her storyline a realistic one and she starts earning her paycheck.

As for Victor, I think this Adam/MJ going to play out like Nikki’s storyline with David Chow. I think the tables are gonna turn on Victor. It’ll be the same as when he said Nikki brought David into everyone’s lives only to have him bring death and destruction to the town. When it is all revealed Victor is gonna feel the pain of having kept Adam around and having brought MJ to town with malintent only to have the both of them wreak havoc on everyone’s lives and kill Ashley’s baby!! This’ll be the second time that Victor’s baby will die—all within a year! It’ll be a “don’t throw stones…forgive and forget….do unto others…” type of lesson. …and then Victor and Nikki can reconcile again!! Just my prediction, not a spoiler! …but whaddya think??

BTW, about that MJ storyline…..I still don’t get how she was supposed to bring Jack down!

Back to Mac….does anyone remember when Mac first came on the show (different actor)? She was also very boring, very monotone, no flair, seemingly talentless. Maybe that’s how they want the character to be portrayed.

Yes, original Mac was the best, the second one looked a lot like her and was a decent replacement and was fine. The third one was alright but this current one STINKS!!!

But I also agree that the original Mac was also kind of monotone but certainly not talentless.

Bring out your inter-Chipmunk....how crazy are the writers???

Wonder if there will be real T-Shirts that the Y&TR will sell....hehehe and how many watchers will accually buy them:rotfl:I wouldnt put it past the writers to do such a thing. They put books out, why not Chipmunk Shirts.

P.S if you or anyone else on here are one of those that would buy them I am not laughing at you I am laughing with you :thumbsup2

Nick is such an idopt. I love you:flower3::hug:...no I love you more:flower3::flower3:...wait a minute, I was wrong, I think your special and strong so I love you more :flower3:...but wait.....:scratchin:crazy::faint: good grief......

As for Mac...she has always been a boring person......even back when. very monotone always. I to think that is why this Mac is the same way. Seems that Billie would grow tiered of that.

Cant wait to see what he has to say when he finds out that he is the father of Sharons baby after all.

First, the Nikki storyline spoilers.

Originally Nikki was supposed to get married to Paul in May, but the contact problems changed this and her wedding date was pushed back. Her exit storyline was for her to be killed off. Even though she is still staying on the show, she will not be on the show for a little over a month. I am not 100% sure how she will be "killed" but apparently she will get snubbed by Mary Jane and Victor will be the only one that knows.

VICTOR SPOILERS!

Things aren't looking good for him! Colleen will get back at Victor when she regains her seat at the board shortly after all of Victor's lies and secrets are revealed!

Mary Jane is supposed to go all crazy in the fall and reveal Victor called her, etc, and Victor will loose Ashley when he admits to her he is the one who bought the 5% from Gloria and also kept the Mary Jane secrets to her and kept lying. And that's not all... his children will blame him for Nikki's 'death' when they learn Mary Jane was responsible!
Nikki's 'death' is supposed to occur in mid-late August, Victor's reveal is supposed to occur late September.

SPUMORS:

These may not be true. Mary Jane is going to shoot Victor. Colleen will die in a car crash.

This all has me wondering if the MaryJane SL is true, will she steal Sharon's baby or not? I for one can't wait for Victor to get busted not only for his actions now, but for the way he treated Nikki with the whole David SL. It will be nice to see the shoe on the other foot.

•Jack gets freaked out seeing the package outside Sharon's suite, it is of a doll and her eyes are gouged (sp?) out. Jack arranges to book a suite nearby Sharon, to keep an eye on her
•Billy finds Cane at his trailer and kicks him out, a decision he soon regrets when Lily refusing to have surgery done leaves the hospital tracking down Billy stating she wants Cane.
•Adam breaks up with Rafe who feels like an idiot for trusting Adam. Later, Adam is confronted by Victor about being gay, Victor is fine with it. Meanwhile, Rafe warns Heather that Adam is trouble

Next - Chloe and Chance kiss!; Deacon wants Amber to sleep with him; Lily wants Cane to take her away, she wants to harvest, fertalize her eggs

I'm all for a "who shot Victor", but not for killing off Colleen to give Victor her heart!

Billy learns about Victor being the one behind what Jill did when she made him the CEO of Jabot.
He confronts Victor.
Then Colleen tells Billy that Victor was behind the video of her drunk showing up on the internet and that he did it because it would get her off the board at Newman.
Billy goes to a Board meeting &Tells all. Including Ashley

It sounds like things are begining to come undone around Victor. :cool1:

I'm just sitting here wondering how he will pull himself out of this mess.

Here's the article!

This week, Billy gets an earful about Victor and his schemes and decides to confront good ol' Mr. Mustache right in front of Ashley.

"I don't think Billy's interested in Ashley or anybody seeing the light," says Billy Miller. "He just wants to take on Victor."

Things are instigated by Cane when he informs Billy that the only reason Jill made him head honcho at Jabot is because Victor forced her to. "That's a major blow from a mother Billy thinks has never been there for him," admits Miller. "To find out she was manipulating him, and on top if it, trusted his fake brother with the information."

Then there's Victor's involvement. "So far, all this man has done is manipulate Billy," notes Miller. "As things unfold, Billy finds out there's more to it than he realizes. He's starting to think that maybe Jack is right: The Mustache is an evil son of a *****."

Things get even more heated when Billy runs into Colleen and she tells him everything that happened at Jimmy's bar and how Victor is trying to get her booted from the Newman Board for it. Billy offers to help Colleen. "Colleen got caught flashing her ta-ta's in a bar," sighs Miller. "The whole thing sounds sneaky, like someone set her up."

Later, Colleen and Billy meet with Victoria and JT and Victoria tells Colleen she should resign from the Newman Board. Billy tells Colleen that she should issue a public apology, but Victoria refuses to budge. "Billy's angry and amused at what hypocrites these people are," says Miller. "Every once in a while, Billy has a saving grace outside of himself. You don't mess with his little cousin. Billy has had enough of being screwed over and doesn't want everyone else around him being screwed over, either."

Billy rushes off to confront Jill about the real reason she appointed him CEO of Jabot. "Jill's matter-of-fact about it," says Miller, admitting Billy feels "betrayed and disgusted" to learn he was a pawn in Victor's plan to get back at Jack. "He comes to the conclusion that he doesn't want a damn thing more from Jill."

From there, Billy heads over to Newman Enterprises where he rudely interrupts the board meeting, fully intending to expose the "real" Victor as Ashley looks on confused. "Billy's in the lion's den now," notes Miller. "He wants to confront Victor about his dirty dealings with him and Colleen. He wants satisfaction. Billy's not quite sure who his opponent is really, although he's heard stories about the legend of Victor Newman. But he's ready to duke it out. We'll see whose bark is worse than his bite."

A Closer Look -- Lily

Lily's battle with cancer leaves her unable to bear children this week, and Cane rushes to her side to console her. Christel Khalil Hensley discusses the bittersweet turn of events.

WEEKLY: This is such a heavy storyline. What were your thoughts when you first found out about it?

HENSLEY: Maria and I had a meeting in her office and she told me about it. I was thrilled. I like these kinds of stories. When Lily had chlamydia years ago, I got to do all these public service announcements about Internet predator awareness and things like that. Now I'm getting to do all these PSA's about cancer awareness. It's really nice to do something that can actually help people instead of playing the same old love triangles. I love it. It's actually fun for me.

WEEKLY: Lily wakes up post-surgery and learns the doctors had to perform a hysterectomy. How is the horrible news relayed to her?

HENSLEY: When Lily wakes up, Neil tells her that the doctors were able to harvest her eggs, but she doesn't even hear him. She's so out of it. All she hears is that they had to remove more than the tumor. So Lily knows then and there that she had a hysterectomy and she's devastated. She's crying. She can't believe this is happening. She can't ever have children, and that was so important to her.

WEEKLY: Lily asks Devon to bring Cane to her. What happens?

HENSLEY: Lily starts waking up again. She's still kind of fuzzy. Devon asks if she's okay. He tells Lily to tell him what she wants. He'll bring her anything she needs. She says, "Cane." Devon tells Tyra and Neil. Tyra is the one who calls Cane.

WEEKLY: Before Cane arrives, the minister who married them stops by to see her.

HENSLEY: He comes by to check on Lily. He tells her not to worry, that everything will be okay, and mentions that she has her husband. Lily tells him they're not together anymore.

WEEKLY: The minister compels Lily to trust in the love she and Cane have for one another. Is that a turning point for Lily?

HENSLEY: It confirms what she was already thinking: that being in the situation of having cancer made everything else seem so insignificant.

WEEKLY: Then Cane arrives. What is that scene like?

HENSLEY: Lily's happy that he's there. He tells her the doctor harvested a few of her eggs during surgery. Lily gets happy. It's a little ray of hope.

WEEKLY: Cane promises to stay by Lily's side for as long as she wants him there. How does Lily respond?

HENSLEY: She's happy about it. She wants to be with Cane and he's relieved. Lily's been through a difficult situation and she wants to be comforted by someone she loves. Even though she hasn't forgotten what went down with Philip and that whole thing, it's almost like that's not important right now.

WEEKLY: Has this whole tragedy made her realize the magnitude of her feelings for Cane?

HENSLEY: Lily already knew how deep her love for Cane is. All of this made her go, "Okay, I don't care what he's done. He's still my husband, and I need him right now."

Thanks HonnyDipp. :thumbsup2

Do you have anything yet on what is going to happen to Nicki and how they will bring her back?

I'm still working of discovering HOW. But this is all I could find so far:

As soon as I find out anything, I will post it!
