You'd Swear These Were My Last Meals

Not sure why I'm obsessing so much about finding the perfect places for dinner, but I am. Can you all tell me what you think of our plan? One question in particular: The night we are at HOB, we could go anywhere. Is there somewhere else you'd recommend, or would you stick with HOB? The reason I'm asking is that we are going to have to pay OOP for one of our meals. That could be HOB, or it could be the one I think will be the cheapest if they are all on the DDP. Thanks so much! Here goes:

Raglan Rd. (T'Giving)
Flying Fish Cafe
Tusker House (breakfast)
Boma
Biergarten
'Ohana
Teppan Edo
House of Blues
50's PTC

Thanks!

Seeing as how you're going to Raglan Road on another night, I'd definitely keep HoB. HoB is my favorite of the DTD eateries, though I've heard great things about Raglan Road (which is new since my last trip). I intend to eat at both in December. :thumbsup2

I think you can't go wrong to stick with HoB. Like another poster said, among the less expensive restaurants in DTD one of the best is Raglan Road which you already have. Cap'n Jack's is also really good and not as expensive as, say, Fulton's. If you are paying OOP and really want to save money, you can get really good (and substantial) meals at Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwhich - definitely your most quality options at a great price :thumbsup2

i'm on the other side ...and i say this with the understanding that it can happen anywhere but i got a nasty case of food poisoning last april at hob so i'd vote for somewhere else. we really like wolfgang pucks. if you're staying away from the parks consider some of the resorts...citricos at gf, the wave at the contemporary, shula's steak house. if you're paying oop and have transportation consider a quick drive to bahama breeze. they have one on vineland and one on international drive. we often go to the one on international. they have a great menu and we've had some of the best service of any place i've been before.

We went to Raglan Road, Teppen Edo and Ohana on our last trip and they were probably our favorite meals! I think you made some awesome choices! Next trip well be trying Biergarten and 50's Primetime Cafe and we're really excited about both of those too! Have a wonderful time! I completely understand what you mean about planning ADRs lol. Alot of thought goes into it but it's fun and meals are really one of the best parts of the trip :goodvibes

Thanks for all the replies! Little worried about HoB food poisoning, but I'll hope that was an isolated incident.

We will probably do Wolfgang Puck Express for a lunch or something. Loved that place last time.

No car, but what is Bahama Breeze? What kind of food? Sounds interesting!

On your list, the things I would definitely keep are FF, HOB, & TH. We haven't eaten at 50's yet, but of the others, I think these are the best. We've had nothing but good experiences at HOB. The seating can be a bit cramped, if you get one of the bad tables, but there's not that many that are really bad. It's more roomy in the back, but there's more atmosphere in the main room. The food is always good. The portions are easily large enough to share.

As for food poisoning, I know it can happen anywhere. I got it once from a McDonald's McRib & ended up in the hospital. It literally makes me nauseated to see a McRib now, so I know how the PP feels. I wouldn't really worry about it at HOB or anywhere else though. We've eaten there several times & never gotten sick.
