My oldest daughter and I went to have dinner at MK one night. My little one and DH stayed in the room as my DD was exhausted from an already full day. We had PS at the Plaza and then planned to ride a few things before the 7pm closing. It was a MNSSHP night and though we had made no plans to go ahead of time, we discussed buying tickets when we arrive that night if we weren't too tired after supper. (we had been going since 7am that morning.) Anyway, when we arrived at the park, we discovered that the party was sold out for that night, so although we were disappointed, it didn't let it ruin our night because we had not made plans in the first place.
When we checked in for our supper, one of the cast members asked if we were staying for the party. We told him our story and that we'll try again next time we come. We took our beeper and walked over to watch the Dance Parade while we waited. When they called us to be seated, the cast member whom we had been talking to walked over and said-- do you still want to stay for the party? My DD said of course. He then handed us four tickets for that nights MNSSHP and said to call the rest of our family and tell them to come on over. We were in total shock and I thought my DD might start to cry. We thank him over and over again.
I don't remember much about eating supper. We were just too excited. We wrote the cast member a thank you note and delivered it to the check in desk. We also remembered on our way out later that night to stop at guest services and fill out a comment card.
The party that night was amazing, especially given the surprise of getting the tickets. We had never been, so we had lots of fun deciding what to do and see. I thought my DD was going to have to be carried back to the hotel by the time we left, but we decided it was worth every minute and our sore feet.
