:lmao::lmao::lmao:

So half the country is under "excessive heat watches/warning" but we are not in MN. Earlier today it was 95 degrees with a heat index of 110 and we are not included in the excessive heat watch or warning :lmao::lmao:. People seem to think that we are always cold and one poster even suggested that their summers were more hot and humid than ours :lmao::lmao::lmao:. Wimps :lmao::lmao::lmao:

The temp did just drop from 92 to 78 as the thunderstorm is rolling in :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

8 pm and heat index of 101 here....

oh, and I've lived in North Dakota where we had temps of over 100 too...I've seen it all...

Any time you want to switch, just let me know!! We were 110 this week. Also, with the every other day rain, the humity is horrible. Everything is growing mold and mildew!! :lmao:

The heat index here was still 100 about 15 minutes ago but a storm front is moving in and bringing thunderstorms and a little relief...until tomorrow am anyway when it starts all over again. The dewpoint was 80 for a while today...yuck.

You want to switch my 110 for your 110, our dewpoint was 80 today...

LOL

I refuse to call myself a wimp, however. It was almost 90 degrees this morning at sunrise when I went walking. Texas. is. HOT. right now.:confused3

ETA: I got in my car yesterday and my sensor said 113. O_o

Well, that relief lasted what, 30 minutes-no rain, just some wind and the temp just jumped back up to 92--YUCK.

Are you talking to yourself? Whats up with you and the weather anyway?:rotfl::lmao:

The other day an online news source said our heat index was 120 when the dew point was 84 degrees.

The heat advisories are issued based on set criteria, just like any other watch or warning. If the temperature gets above a certain point, they are supposed to issue one. I don't understand why that makes anybody a wimp. :confused3

We've had so much heat, humidity and rain this summer, there seem to be frogs everywhere. Can't take the dogs for a walk at night on the sidewalk without seeing them everywhere. Just had one in the finished basement last night! We had the downstairs garage open yesterday and he must have wandered inside.

Do it with 80-90% humidity every day and then we'll talk. ;)

I agree.

OP, you all are experiencing the weather we have for about 6 months of the year.

I am talking about these humidity levels--heck the dewpoint was 80 making the humidity level higher.

The whole point is that you have your 110 heat index and excessive heat warnings to go along with that, we have 110 heat index and no warnings .:confused3

BUT: you have something that we don't usually have here in the South in the winter: Snow blowers, a whole brigade of snow plows. Last winter we had snow in Southeastern Va., we hardly ever get snow. The only time my DD12 has had snow boots was a few years ago when she went skiing, we just don't have a need for it, then last winter, she ended up getting some from her friend that she couldn't wear anymore.

And why would you need a warning? IT IS DANG HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha ha.
