You Want to Stay Where?! A July PTR* TR LINK 8/8!

Great update! You never seize to impress me with all your sewing. I think Maddie does great with her invented spelling. I've seen harder to figure out.

Yay for getting to see Paul McCartney in Boston!

I'm so glad to hear that there are a few slides that we can go on together, I know that's the part Maddie is most looking forward to. I never really thought about having a 'rope drop' strategy for TL, but that makes a LOT of sense. Thanks again!

I just realized you may have misunderstood me. Most of the slides I mentioned, Maddie will have to go alone. However, they are all slides that have a "prop" (a tube of some sort),which I know helped Otaku feel more secure than just a normal body slide. Crush n Gusher and Gangplank are the two that I believe you can all be together. The lazy river also has some double tubes, but they are few and far between. You can easily hold on to each other though. I made a mistake though. The mat slides are at Blizzard Beach, not Typhoon Lagoon. Sorry about the mix-up.

3. Cinderella's Royal Table - once again, never been there, but maybe my gaggle of boys will "let" me go one day??!!
Love the dresses, especially the one with the rouching. I can't wait to see Maddie's! Sweet birthday present! I saw Elton John and Billy Joel at Gillette Stadium a few years ago, and although I'd seen them together once before that, it was absolutely amazing. Rumor was, they were going to come to Fenway, but I think some recreational activities got in the way for Billy. lol Fenway is like Wrigley...historic, but not the most comfortable place you've ever been!

Table Service: Via Napoli -

Counter Service: Earl of Sandwich.

Signature: Le Cellier - I haven't been to either, but I can't handle the prices at Narcoosees. $68 for lobster is insane.

Character: CRT - prices would be too much for me too, but you have to experience the castle at least once!

We are flying to Boston to see Paul McCartney!!!! AT FENWAY PARK!!!!! How awesome is my husband??????

Thanks so much for letting me share guys! Have a great weekend! "See" you next week!

Woohoo Cool!!!! Now, I know you don't know but I'm a super fan of the man, I call Paul!!! I'm going to DC to see him with some good friends. It's the only show I'm making at this go around. I had no idea that you wanted to see him!!!! And, here's some trival for you... I've been to a 'few' shows... and my picture is in the Back in the US live CD, center page with "sometimes life spoils us" quote.... I'm the girl with the sign that says... "I'm Karen"

I was so excited... you are going to LOVE LOVE LOVE this show! And, I knew I liked you!!!

Enjoy! :hippie:

Here's my picks!~

Le Cellier - that filet is devine...

Cinderella's Royal Table - hands down...it's a must for us!

Whispering Canyon Café - pass the ketcup!

Be Our Guest - it's in a castle... it's in MK... location location castle!

So glad that I hung in there, as I was a bit slow to catch on to how to play this game!

Enjoy! Karen

I'm hoping to buy a decent waterproof camera too. Which one did you end up going with?

If I recall, the large lockers at TL are $12, but you get $5 of it back upon key return. I also bring towels, but I bring my own beach towels. That's only because I always pack some when I travel in the summer.

Okay for next week, I'm saying:

That Alice dress is so cute. When I was a teenager, I wanted to be Alice in Disney so bad. Unfortunately, I have been 5' 9" tall since I was 13 years old, so that's always been out of the question. :lmao:

I have to start our countdown calendar for the boys! I keep forgetting. :rolleyes1

That's a great birthday present. Nice job Bryan!

Hey guys! I have a TON to share this week!

And of course Carissa the AG needed some things for her first trip to WDW!

[/CENTER]

On Tuesday of this week it was FINALLY time to start our countdown calendar!

A little back ground:

In 2010 we were lucky enough to see Billy Joel and Elton John in concert at Wrigley Field (one of my favorite places on earth) for our birthdays. It was an incredible concert, and I told Bryan then and there that there were very few concerts I'd still feel the need to see after that. In fact there was only one act on the list: Paul McCartney.

We are flying to Boston to see Paul McCartney!!!! AT FENWAY PARK!!!!! How awesome is my husband??????

The only hiccup? The concert is 3 days before we leave for Disney :rotfl2: We'll fly out for the concert on Tuesday afternoon, fly back Wednesday morning, and we'll leave for WDW on Friday. We're certifiable. But excited!

Thanks so much for letting me share guys! Have a great weekend! "See" you next week!

I just love the Alice dress! Please refresh my memory, has Maddie gone to the Wonderland Tea Party? My DGD just loves go to to this tea party. And, now with the photopass there, they capture some amazing photos. I have one with Angie sitting next to Alice and they are having so much fun laughing together! The Alice dress would be practically perfect in every way for the Wonderland Tea Party!!

Love Carissa's outfits too! Too cute for Maddie, she such a lucky girl to have such a talented caring mom!

Love your count down calendar and great job in making it educational experience such fun. I really love the kindergarten writing... it's such fun to see how they sound things out!

And, as you see above, you know how excited I was to hear that you are going to see Paul!!! And, I'm impressed that "In fact there was only one act on the list: Paul McCartney." Well, all I can say is there anyone else to compare!?!? And, what a great guy you have in Bryan.... he's awesome to do this for you. And, as far as flying out and back... well doesn't every one do this for Paul? At least, now I'm not the only one doing this!

Enjoy Paul... enjoy Mickey... Karen :hippie:

Awesome birthday present. We had Paul M here a couple of months ago. I am not a huge fan so I was indifferent, however, I have to say it was one of the best shows I have ever seen (working in the industry I have seen a few). You are going to have an amazing time. Elton John and Billy Joel are also on the top 10 list of best shows I've ever seen. Sir Paul was a class act. Make sure you stay to the very end as his second last song is pretty amazingly done.

Love the sewing.Sounds like AG will be just as ready and fashionable as Maddie to meet all of the princesses and other characters.

Wow! There were some shockers for me there!

I am just realizing that I need to be working on my PTR more! I have tons of stuff to take pictures of and post (including those gorgeous Lilo dresses:cool1:!). I have updated my TR at least twice since the last PTR update. SLACKER!

Gorgeous Alice dress! I swear, your costumes are so much better than any you could purchase! And the fact that you make things that AREN'T readily available makes it even better!

What a wonderful birthday gift! Yeah, it's cutting it close, but it will be so worth it!

I thought of you the last couple of days because I found out we may be moving...just in time for our WDW trip! Things are very up in the air, so I haven't really said anything to our kids or really anyone, but there's a possibility (and a good one) that a hedge fund will be purchasing our house at the price we paid for it, which is unheard of in this market! And then we'll be renting. The thing is, we're not sure where, because Brandon's job has gotten a little shakeup the last few days and he's deciding if he wants to stay at this company or change companies...and if he changes, he's trying to decide on this area or a whole other state completely! YIKES! Anyway, you've done the whole moving pressure thing lately and pulled it off, so I'm looking to you for inspiration!:goodvibes

2. Crystal Palace vs. 3. Cinderella's Royal Table
I am nearly positive that I won't be in the majority, but CRT is one of my least favorite meals in the history of me stuffing my face at Disney! Sure, you are in the castle. And yes, we watched Wishes from inside while we ate dessert. The food was even decent and the characters were fine (not memorable, but standard princesses so they are always decent)...but none of that really made up for waiting more than 45 minutes past our ADR time to be seated (and even then I had to as a cm if there was an ETA on our table being ready, receive a nasty attitude from her, and demand to speak to her supervisor, just to get a seat!). So anyway, that was 2 years ago, but I still hold a little bit of a grudge, and we have had 3 successful meals at Crystal Palace, so that is my choice! Bonus points every time Tigger literally bounces around the room from table to table!

Table Service

2. Via Napoli vs. 11. Whispering Canyon Cafe
Via Napoli was soooo delicious. I want a zeppole like..NOW. I haven't been to WCC and I would like to try it at some point, but VN is one that I definitely will return to. The waiters were so eager to be of service too, it was a really nice meal.

Counter Service

2. Be Our Guest vs. 6. Earl of Sandwich
I'll just go with what is sure to be the crowd here, Be Our Guest is a great value for a counter service credit, the theme of the restaurant is undeniably amazing. The long line even moves quickly! EoS is good too, but BoG is obviously a stand out.

What an awesome birthday present! I feel similarly about concerts...I saw Elton last summer and Aerosmith this past fall, Cher several years ago. Seeing acts like those make you want to only ever see musical legends...and so the natural thing to do, if you are me, is to see New Kids on the Block next. hehe.

I love the Alice dress, the pictures are going to be so cute! And great job on the trio of graduation dresses. On the AG disney outfits, did you make the Ariel applique??

I've finally have changed my ticker since we will not be able to go this year. Here's to some pixie dust to help us make this magic happen next year! Disappointed but not sad and not really surprised as it was always an iffy situation. All I can say is that sometimes life is well, "it's complicated!" In the meantime, I'll have to live vicariously through everyone's trip reports! And, that's something to be excited about, as I love reading trip reports!

I'm just excited to have a new ticker! Thanks! Karen pixiedust:

Great updates!! We just got back last night, and it was an amazing, magical trip and wedding! The post Disney blues are already setting in :rotfl:

I love all of the dresses, super adorable! And yayaya for Paul McCartney, he is on my concert bucket list as well ;) I saw Elton and Billy a couple years ago and we got upgraded to 2nd row by one of Billy's back stage guys! It was an amazing experience and my favorite concert ever! And Billy Joel looks so much like my dad so he's always been one my favs! Your hubby is awesome for making that happen for you! Yay for great birthday gifts! :cool1:

For ToT this week,

LeCellier, I seriously had one of the best meals of my life here last Thursday! My app, steak, wine, chocolate moose, everything was incredible!

Cinderella's Royal Table, this is tough for me bc I love Crystal Palace and we had Ava's birthday breakfast here on the 26th with 30 of us and it was awesome, the food and characters, they were really accommodating! But earlier that week Jeff, Ava and I ate at CRT and we had an amazing time, they gave us a window table overlooking fantasyland, Ava adored the princesses, ran to them, hugged them, let me take pics (with the other guys she was standoffish lol) and the food was delicious, it was just awesome!

Via Napoli, hands down! This was one of our favorite meals from our trip, every single thing we ate, drank, our waiter was perfect!

Be Our Guest, we ate at both and they were both great! I love Earls sandwiches so much, however we got an invitation test fastpass to BOG and the restaurant is just amazing!

In case you can't tell we had fantastic dining this trip :rotfl2:

How far behind can one person be??!!! :sad2: It was pages, and pages, and pages.....I've got to keep up

The dresses are way cute!!! Great job with the AG clothes:thumbsup2 And where are her Minnie Mouse Ears ?? ;)The Alice dress is probably my favorite...very nice.

Excellent choices with dining! Looks like your trip will be food packed -as it should be! What's vacation without great dining options??!!

Since school is out, perhaps I can keep up with all these TRs!!
:goodvibes Heather

Ah I missed a week of voting! I've been a terrible Diser recently. I really need to get my priorities in order.

I've taken note of all the waterpark tips you've been getting since we will be going for the first time when we go in September! I also want to pick up a waterproof camera soon because every summer I buy a few of those waterproof disposable cameras for like $17 and by now I could have an inexpensive digital one!

Love the pictures of Maddie/the graduate/ Carissa! Those dresses really came out spectacular.

That Alice dress is beyond amazing!! I can't wait to see the pictures from that meet and greet!

I love all of Carissa's Disney clothes! That is one well dressed AG doll!

I think I can still vote for ADRs (right?) If not, ignore this next part.

I say

Ohana breakfast
LTT lunch (which was super yummy on our last trip!)
and Chef Mickeys dinner!

And for the Tournament of Food, I vote for
Le Cellier
Cinderella's Royal Table
Whispering Canyon Cafe
and Be Our Guest!

Caught up! I think I've fallen out of the competition but eh, what can ya do? You're so talented at sewing! It will be so cool to see Paul McCartney, too! Awesome.

Nice birthday present! :)

Picks for this week are...

Le Cellier
Crystal Palace
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Earl of Sandwich

Thanks for playing! I think this will be a great birthday!

That's the kind of thing that makes a TR interesting! :rotfl:

You have a point! Is it bad that I'd rather have embarrassing stories about Bryan to write about? :lmao:

Of course. But I think I might surprise you a little bit this week...

I have to admit, I'm shocked. I realize I voted for CM, but I'm shocked. I guess I'm glad that BoG won't be facing BoG in the final matchup though. :rotfl2:

Now that would have been boring!

I'll stick around. It isn't your fault that so many of your readers are just wrong. :rotfl2:

I think it looks great. As usual, I'm sure Maddie will be among the best dressed little girls in the park for her princess pictures! I'm sure those will be some excellent meet & greet pictures and video!

They all look good! :thumbsup2

I have no idea what that means... but ok. :lmao:

Has she really only seen Tiana twice???? That's hard to believe! :rotfl:

:rotfl2: I couldn't believe it either!

Tournament picks:

Le Cellier - Fillet and cheese soup for the win.,

Crystal Palace - This was a tough one. I'd love to try CRT, but CP is one we've done a few times and absolutely love.

Via Napoli - You've actually done it. You found the one matchup you could give me to make me not vote for Whispering Canyon. Well played.

Be Our Guest - Best quick service on property. This one should cruise to the finals. But if CHH takes this one out too, then I'm done. :crazy2:

:rotfl2: I feel like I just made you make a decision you weren't prepared to make! I feel terrible!

O.M.G....that countdown calendar and sentence that Maddie wrote just warmed my heart!!

I LOVE Kindergarten spelling - the whole....write how it sounds! My sister teaches 1st grade and her daughter (my fab niece!!) starts Kindergarten in July (year round school down here!!) and I just LOVE IT!!

I have to admit that I love the Kindergarten spelling too. It's such a great reminder of how little she is. I know it won't last long. :sad1:

And you should take a huge bow, yourself. Nice job on all the dresses! :worship:

You are too kind my friend.

Too bad Maddie didn't have Carissa in hand when you shot the two girls. But (again) nice job. Both girls look very pleased with their dresses.

I have one somewhere!

Familiar with it? That's where my emotional and intellectual level is at!

I had no problem reading it.

well.... colour me jealous. I had tix to see Sir John a couple of years ago and I had to cancel at the last minute....

If you ever have the chance to go again, jump at it. It was an amazing show.

Le Cellier!!!!! I can’t not pick it, that filet is too delicious!

CRT: castle, princess, service, it’s better!

Via Napoli: Haven’t tried either but I hear there’s cute Italian boys here…

BOG

Oh my gosh that Alice dress is so cute! I need one! (a mini one that is…lol) That was the biggest complaint on my Alice dress, that the bow wasn’t big enough, that bow is HUGE. So excited to see Maddie meet Alice! Are you guys going to attempt/do a trip video??

Adorable countdown calanders, that’s too cute! And hey, I don’t think kindergarten spelling is far off from the abbreviations we see in texting nowadays…those are more confusing to me…

What a fantastic birthday present!!! It’s sure to be a blast!!

I really have to put Le Cellier on the list for the next trip. I have no idea why I've been resisting it. It's on the list!

I think we will do a trip video. I've been making video photo albums set to music for years. This year I bought the nicer video camera, and some video software, so I think I'll go for it!

How does my Alice bow look in your opinion? Big enough?

Oh no! What a crappy CRT experience! We've actually had the same experience, but at Crystal Palace. Isn't that crazy?

I must try the pretzel bread one of these days!

What an awesome birthday present! I feel similarly about concerts...I saw Elton last summer and Aerosmith this past fall, Cher several years ago. Seeing acts like those make you want to only ever see musical legends...and so the natural thing to do, if you are me, is to see New Kids on the Block next. hehe.

I would totally see NKOTB. Still not over the fact that I didn't get to see them when I was younger. Did see MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice though. :rotfl:

I'd love to Cher and Bette Midler. Ms. M is on the list if we ever make it back to Vegas.

I saw Aerosmith when I was 18 (took my mom!) and it is still one of my favorite shows. They were awesome!

I love the Alice dress, the pictures are going to be so cute! And great job on the trio of graduation dresses. On the AG disney outfits, did you make the Ariel applique??

Thank you! I didn't make the applique. I don't have an embroidery machine. I got if from JoAnns-it's an iron on!

I'm so sorry you won't be going. On the bright side you'll have a full year to plan the perfect trip for next year.

I'll be very glad to have you join in the TR!

:cool1:

AWESOME!!!! How cool!

For the ADR I choose
O'hana breakfast
LTT lunch
Chef Mickey dinner

Sounds fabulous! I cannot wait until you start that TR! I bet that you'll have amazing stories to tell!

LOVE the Alice dress, it turned out perfect! I can't wait to see Alice's reaction when she sees Maddie wearing it! Your trip is getting SO close!! You must be getting so excited! :yay:

I am sooo excited! I think the Alice meet will be awesome! We had such a great time with her last year, so I have high expectations!

Thank you for reminding me! I have to try to make the ears! I can't believe I forgot!

I'm excited to try some new restaurants this year. Really looking forward to the signatures.

I always do that too! I'm glad we bit the bullet and bought one.

You are too sweet to me Courtney! I really appreciate your kind words about my projects. :goodvibes

I'm actually really excited about LTT! It looks awesome! What did you have if you don't mind me asking?

Caught up! I think I've fallen out of the competition but eh, what can ya do? You're so talented at sewing! It will be so cool to see Paul McCartney, too! Awesome.

Welcome back Marissa! I can't wait until you start your TR! I was thinking of you all week!
