You Want to Stay Where?! A July PTR* TR LINK 8/8!

Ah you guys are so close now! Are you excited yet? :rotfl2:

My vote is for Le Cellier!

Aw Carissa is all ready for Disney now- adorable!

It's always fun to see the shots you get from a kid's point of view! At my sister's sweet 16, my brother and his friend were I think 8 years old and we gave them a camera to walk around with and entertain them and they loved it! :goodvibes

Yay Cubbies!

Awwww, Maddie's lists are so cute! I had the boys make me a list (the majority of which I won't be able to fulfill....they're asking to meet characters that just aren't possible). I needed my brother to translate for me, because many of the words were like "Wude". So cute! :lmao:

Hi Shannon, it's been a while, but I'm hopefully getting all caught up soon here. I just wanted to pop in and say HI, and hopefully I'll be back on board by the time you leave!:thumbsup2

First up..my vote!!

Le Cellier vs. Be Our Guest

For me its a no brainer....

Le Cellier!! :cool1::cool1:

and lets talk about lists...shall we?? I am OBSESSED with lists - and I have a notebook - not 3-ring, but a spiral bound - with pockets...and its my "notebook" and my boys and my DH know not to touch it!! :rotfl:

Right now, I have several lists going with the meal planning we have going on for our family trip to the beach in August...

there are lists of meals, and all the food items per meal, and then in subsequent pages there are the specific ingredients needed for each meal - and then its broken down even further to what items are we bringing from home and what's being bought at the grocery store when we get to the beach...

phew...

I know..:crazy2:...Its a lot and its obsessive, and my family completely understands....and they still love me!!!

It IS very helpful, when my 2 sisters and their families and my family are going to spend a week at the beach together in a house and we all share the meal responsibility..:beach:

we just love the "family togetherness"!!

Hey Shan!! Popping in and now I have to catch up :rotfl: I see y'all are going in July--us too. I'm hot just thinking about it! And trying to decide if I should do a TR when we get back, since I abandoned mine from last year :rotfl: oops.

Okay, now I have to get to reading!!

So I missed a lot lately!!! All caught up now. I started my new job three weeks ago and was out of town for training. I love all the matching dresses for the graduation dress, all turned out great! My vote is for Le Cellier, never been but would love to try! I love the long sundress and it looks like I could even try making one of those, maybe for a baby shower next month. My little girls would be cute in those! Congrats on the great birthday present!!!:thumbsup2

My vote is for Be Our Guest. It was the ADR that I was most worried about getting and then the most excited about getting! I can't wait to eat there in Sept! Looks like there are a bunch of Le Cellier fans, maybe we'll have to try it next trip.

Sorry I'm so late to vote--am I even in time??--but vacation got in the way!

My vote is BE OUR GUEST! I've never been to either, but I am looking forward to this place so much!

Carissa's Mickey ears are adorable, as is the dress you made Maddie. Super cute!

I can't believe you're so very close to your trip. Exciting!!

If you wanted to post that pic of the girls in their Lilo dresses to show what else kept you busy, feel free. I'm just so grateful to you for those. I can't get over how perfect they are. Let me know if you're up for more projects!

If it was Be Our Guest dinner- I would have voted for it (we're going in October) but since it is Lunch, I just couldn't do it! (Maybe in the future, but not now when it's so popular and no ADRs at lunch!)

I know that there are no ADRs for lunch, I was just trying to show my excitement to eat there. Counter service lunch still wins my vote. There is no way that I could pass up eatting in the Beast's castle! :thumbsup2

First of all, "I cant wate to see Wude." = CUTEST thing ever. I so adore the way young children write and spell.

Second, I love that maxi dress that you made! Do you do the ruching (or whatever it's called..the top elasticized part) yourself or was that the premade-elasticky fabric? I have used the pre-made fabrics before and they make just the easiest and cutest summer dresses!

I do the ruching myself. I just started doing it recently. It's surprisingly easy! I just read a couple of tutorials online. Google shirring tutorial. It's fun!

My vote this week goes to Be Our Guest. Being that I have been voting for Le Cellier solely on the presumption that the pretzel bread would be up my alley, and I have actually dined in (and enjoyed!) BoG, it was an easy vote! I can't believe we are down to the final 4, and more importantly that you are going to be in Disney in a month!

That pretzel bread sounds so amazing though..

We are so excited!

Oh by the way, I saw you on a mutual facebook friend's list and sent you a request, which I am totally not pressuring you to accept, but I wanted to let you know that I did that so you wouldn't be creeped out by some weirdo's random friend request :)

Accepted!:)

:faint: Nooooooooo. :headache: This tournament just lost it's credibility. :rolleyes1

I knew you'd be upset ;)

Who did they play? :confused3 Who won??? :confused3 :rolleyes1 :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

yeah, yeah, yeah. I could have gotten you some autographs! We were right behind the visitor's dugout. Frazier was signing, and Sean Marshall was right there too.

Great idea! I can already see "Maddie's pictures" being an interesting feature in a TR from her point of view. :rotfl2:

interesting for sure :rotfl2:

I kind of like what she did with multi colored Space Mountain there. That's a good idea. They need to do some kind of projection show on it like they do with the castle. :thumbsup2

And even though this tournament keeps trying to make me mad, I'll go ahead and vote... Be Our Guest.

Perhaps she's got a future with Disney?

Thanks for sticking with it-even though it makes you mad.:rotfl:

For ToF I’m going to have to vote for Le Cellier! Overall the food is better and the experience is great, it beats out the awesome atmosphere at BOG

Canada representing :thumbsup2

HOLY POOP THAT MANY DAYS LEFT?!!? I’M SERIOUSLY SO EXCITED FOR YOOUUUU!!!

Cheerleading and swimming, glad she’s keeping ya busy! Ahahaha..oh cheerleading….please turn up on Cheer Perfection next season…

Did they cancel it? I was watching religiously and then Poof! it was gone from my on demand. Very sad.

Yay! More pictures and an occupied kid in line, best idea ever! It’s always awesome to see Disney from that perspective!

Cutest spelling ever! “Wude” Aw man, you guys are gonna have SO MUCH FUN!!

We are getting very, very excited!

Um, I may be the only one to say this ever, but I think I'm voting for Be Our Guest. When I went to Le Cellier last summer, I wasn't as gung ho about it as everyone else seems to be. I'm still dying to try Be Our Guest, so I'm voting for it! :thumbsup2

I had no idea your trip was coming up so fast! So exciting. And Maddie's spelling of 'Wude' is the cutest thing. :cutie:

Thanks Marissa! You aren't the only one. I've read a few so/so reviews of Le Cell. We haven't tried it yet, but I think we'll definitely go for it next trip.

My vote is Le Cellier

thanks for playing!

My vote is LeCellier!

Thanks for playing!

Easy one for me
Le Cellier

That's great! One of the things that DW and I were adamant about was that the DDs take swimming lessons. That's a life skill that's just too important not to have if you're going to be anywhere near water.

I couldn't agree more. We've insisted on lessons until she could save herself. Who knew that she'd morph into a little fishy?

If she's anything like my eldest, with her dancing... good luck with your future career as a chauffeur!

That's how I feel this week! I'm just the driver and snack provider. :lmao:

Great shot. Shows creativity.

I liked it too!

Colour me impressed...

Oh, really? Hadn't noticed... :rolleyes1

:lmao:

And I chuckled that she had trouble spelling "wate" and "casl"... but absolutely no problem with "Cinderella".

Gee, I wonder what her priorities are??? :rotfl:

She doesn't miss too many princess words. Thanks for following along Ponzerooni!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! My two favorite restaurants did not make it. :sad1:

I vote for Be Our Guest.

Yay for Maddie loving swimming now! The same thing happened with Otaku. It only took a few swim classes and not only was the fear gone, but she was begging us to stay for free swim after.

Thanks for playing Mel! The choices have been getting really tough.

We're so relieved. The fear has vanished. She was racing to go down some huge water slides at the pool today! A huge difference!

I know you will enjoy the show! What a great way to start a fabulous holiday! And, definitely include a concert report and be sure to say Hi Hi Hi to Paul!

It's so awesome that you are going all the way to Boston just to see Paul!

Enjoy! Karen :hippie:

I promise to tell him that you say hello! I'll include it in the TR then :goodvibes

I like the business card size as it's small, easily carried and seems just the perfect size to put into one's pocket. I always put a little personal info on the card too, usually small in the corner. It makes it more personal and gives a reference for the date.

The Smith Family
Charleston, SC
July 2013

You will be amazed at how appreciative the CM are when they receive these. Be prepared for a little pixie dust too! The first year, my DGD gave them out to everyone, anyone who said 'have a magical day' to someone who smiled at her! CMs faces light up with the biggest smiles and geninuely seem touched. I've had CM show them to other CMs with pride. And, even new friends who we met along the way seem to really like them too!

You'll be so glad that you did this, as you'll feel Maddie is spreading a little of that Disney magic too!

So excited for your trip! Karen pixiedust:

I love the idea of putting a little personal info on the cards. I figure that any CM who's worthy of the thank you will also be the type to appreciate them. I'm hoping so, because Maddie is now very excited to pass them out!

That sounds great! I can't wait to see how they're received.

Here's my vote:

Le Cellier!

Now, if BOG was for dinner, I might have picked differently. But, must say that the best meals we have at Disney is Le Cellier. So, I have to stick with Le Cellier, and let this castle slide.

Karen

Thanks for playing!

Ah you guys are so close now! Are you excited yet? :rotfl2:

My vote is for Le Cellier!

We are so excited! Can you believe that I haven't gotten to my list making yet though? I really need to get prepared!

She's been asking to take pictures with our phones a lot in the last year, so I'm sure she'll love having her own camera to use. I bet we'll get some really interesting shots :rotfl:

Yay Cubbies!

Awwww, Maddie's lists are so cute! I had the boys make me a list (the majority of which I won't be able to fulfill....they're asking to meet characters that just aren't possible). I needed my brother to translate for me, because many of the words were like "Wude". So cute! :lmao:

If you'd like me to help translate, I'd be happy to. I'm pretty fluent in kindergartener these days. You're trip is so close now!

Hi Shannon, it's been a while, but I'm hopefully getting all caught up soon here. I just wanted to pop in and say HI, and hopefully I'll be back on board by the time you leave!:thumbsup2

So glad to see you back Carey. Take your time-you know I don't move that fast!

First up..my vote!!

So glad to have a fellow list maker aboard! Is it wrong that I don't find your descriptions crazy or obsessive? Doesn't every one make lists in that manner? My weekly grocery list gets written 3 times. First the menu, then ingredients for each meal, then the ingredients get organized according to the grocery aisles. Normal right?

Do you get excited for back to school sales so that you can stock up on more notebooks? Just me?:confused3

That's a lot of family! You guys must really get along great!

Hey Shan!! Popping in and now I have to catch up :rotfl: I see y'all are going in July--us too. I'm hot just thinking about it! And trying to decide if I should do a TR when we get back, since I abandoned mine from last year :rotfl: oops.

Welcome back! So glad to hear from you! Where are you staying this year?

Thank you so much! Glad to have you back!

How was the job training? Are you enjoying the new job?

Google a few tutorials on 'shirring'. Those dresses are not very hard to make. Maddie is in love with them.

Ooh- this is a tough one, but I think I have to go with:

Le Cellier

Thanks for playing!

My vote is for Be Our Guest. It was the ADR that I was most worried about getting and then the most excited about getting! I can't wait to eat there in Sept! Looks like there are a bunch of Le Cellier fans, maybe we'll have to try it next trip.

We are beyond excited to try BoG-especially Maddie. I've definitely put Le Cellier on the 'must list' for next trip after hearing how much everyone loves it!

Just popping in to vote! Be our guest

thanks for playing!

Sorry I'm so late to vote--am I even in time??--but vacation got in the way!

My vote is BE OUR GUEST! I've never been to either, but I am looking forward to this place so much!

Vacation is an excellent excuse! No worries!

Thanks so much for the picture-I'm going to share in the next update. I hope to be accepting some projects very, very soon. I'm finishing up a couple of things that I want to try for Etsy, and then I've just got to take pics and list. I'm definitely interested in taking custom orders!

Here we go again folks!

Last week I asked you to cast your votes in order to send one restaurant to the championship round.

To refresh your memories...

Representing the Signature/Celebrity Chef region:

Le Cellier

and representing the Counter Service Region:

Be Our Guest

I'm guessing that before BoG opened, this would have been a landslide victory for the signature. Be Our Guest got quite a few votes, but in the end...

Le Cellier prevailed and will be moving on the Championship Round!

For next week we'll be voting on the final 2 restaurants from the Character and Table Service Regions. The winner will face off against Le Cellier for the whole enchilada.

Here are the contenders:

From the Character/Dinner Show Region

Cinderella's Royal Table

vs.

From the Counter Service Region

'Ohana

Remember to vote for the restaurant that you've enjoyed the most in the past or the one that you'd most like to try.

Well, this really isn't a contest anymore, is it?

Cinderella's Royal Table

it's Cindy's
It is THE castle afterall.... :cool1:

I love 'Ohana and Le Cellier, but, don't think either can beat CRT!

But, it was a fun contest! pixiedust:

Thanks for all the hard work you and Bryan put into this game! Karen

It doesn't seem possible, but we are only 22 days from our trip now! I haven't even started on my lists yet!! :scared1:

We have been busy! Last Saturday Maddie had her dance recital. Of course we think that she danced beautifully and looked every inch the ballerina

Maddie and I spent today at a local water park where Mads was the self proclaimed "queen of the waterslides". She could not get enough! I think we'll be very happy that we added a water park day to the trip.

And, in sewing news: This week I was working on some things that I envisioned for Etsy. However, a friend suggested that this would be perfect for our Chef Mickey dinner. Maddie agreed wholeheartedly, and just like that she had a new dress. Bry only shook his head a little when I told him she'd be wearing yet another themed outfit. :rotfl:

And, FantasylandMom was nice enough to share a picture of her little girls wearing their Lilo dresses! She said that I could share with you all as well

How cute are they? I can't wait to see pictures from their breakfast with Lilo and Stitch!

I'm going to announce the winner of the Guess My ADR game next week, so be sure to tune in for that!

Until then I'll leave you with some more of Maddie's countdown pages

Perhaps BatB is now performed atop fresh herbs?

Hmm! This is a harder round! I want to vote for CRT, because I've been there before, but I've heard wonderful things about ohana!

So I guess I will go with CRT since it is in the castle!

Maddie looks so cute in her ballet dress! :goodvibes:

Glad to hear that she is rocking the slides!

Very cute dress!

Her coloring pages are adorable! I love seeing little kid handwriting!

Brynn and Julia are rocking those dresses, FantasyLand Mom! :thumbsup2:

They are very pretty dresses, especially on them!

:simba:
