Yup - You guys got it! I thought it was soooo cool watching the monorail drive through the Contemporary from inside - I'd only ever ridden through from inside monorail.

The timing couldn't have been better - the nice cool, quiet bus pulled up as we walked to the bus stop after a hot day in the park!

What a great MK day!! I love how you split up when the boys didn't want to ride the same things. The tiki photoshoot was so cute and the bus sleeping pictures are adorable.

We are taking a 4 year old and an 11 year old so I will be asking you tips here in the near future!

Hi Jules! We did some zigging and zagging at MK but I was trying to go with the flow as best I could... For the most part we did what the kids wanted to do - even if that was hugging tikis!

We had to drag that Yeti with us everywhere for the rest of the week. Zach still sleeps with it every night.

We were at the beach on Monday here in NH, but it just wasn't the same. The water was soooooo cold - but that didn't stop Zach & his friends.

OK so I guess I have time for that update now... I didn't realize I had already added the pictures to my Word document...

After a quick and empty bus ride back to CBR from MK we just hung out in the room for a while. The kids played some video games to get their fix for the day. Around 4:00 we headed to Chef Mickey’s for our 5:00 ADR. We weren’t sure how the buses would work out for this trip since our journey would have two legs. Our plan was to take a MK bus but we waited for a while a no MK bus. A DTD bus had come by, then an internal shuttle and next was an AK bus. We were sick of waiting so we jumped on the AK bus – probably the worst choice since it took us in the opposite direction of the Contemporary. Luckily it worked out OK because we jumped right on a Contemporary/Poly bus at AK and after a quick stop at BB we were on our way to Chef Mickey’s. We arrived at the Contemporary around 4:50. We checked in at CM just before 5:00 and got right in line for our plate picture – which we didn’t purchase.

After a few minutes (less than 5) we were led to our seats. I hadn’t made any specific requests so I had no idea where we would end up sitting. We were led toward the back room, but took a quick right and didn’t actually go to the back room. We were taken to a table right next to the kitchen doors at the far end of the buffet. We were two tables from the doors. I wasn’t quite sure how this would work out – if there would be too much kitchen/buffet commotion or not. A half wall separated the buffet from the row of tables across from us and most of the buffet traffic was staying on that side of the wall so it turned out OK. And since it’s a buffet there wasn’t a lot coming in and out of that kitchen door – mostly drink orders. We always seat the kids inside so they won’t get up and wander around during meals, but that turned out to be a bad plan here – I was on the booth side with Zach so I kept having to get up every time a character came around. Tip for parents: Seat the kids on the outside for character meals!

I got right up and took Zach with me to the buffet. He spotted the shrimp and wanted to have some right away. I filled up some plates for the two of us and Alex and we headed back to the table. Zach gobbled down the 6 or 8 shrimp he had taken in no time. Tim got him some more when he got up for his food. He must have eaten 20-25 shrimp!

The characters made their way around the room and we saw Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Mickey & Minnie.

The kids got a kick out of how Pluto put the autograph book on his nose to sign it!

Then it was napkin time!! The boys really liked this:

Zach really was having fun, but this is the only shot I got…

We all enjoyed some desserts & Alex finally got some ice cream! After we finished eating, we decided to head back to CBR to get a good night’s sleep. We had family joining us tomorrow!! The kids were REALLY looking forward to Jeff, Karen, J & K coming to visit!
