"You want to ride Dinosaur again?" - New 10/21 - The End!

Great pictures of Wishes!

I think you are going to a Tusker House breakfast at AK!

BTMRR looks like a lot of fun at night. What a great memory, Wishes over BTMRR.:goodvibes

Did you say most of the goodies you got didn't count as snack credits? Weird, well, except for your mom's apron.:rotfl:

Yep, AK is definitely coming up.:)

What a wonderful memory you now have of riding Big Thunder during Wishes -- those pictures are breathtaking!!!

Do you know one of my fondest memories of Magic Kingdom is of buying rock candy at the Confectionary as a kid -- I love that it was one of the things that you bought that night! :goodvibes

Your mystery picture is of one of my favorite parts of Walt Disney World at one of my favorite times of the day! (I'll let someone else guess what it is though ;)).

I love your photos of Canada outside of Le Cellier. Very different perspectives from the ones I took. :thumbsup2

I can definitely understand feeling two TS meals back to back was too much.

Isn't Spectro awesome??

What a really neat idea to do BTMR during Wishes!! How magical! :wizard:

Yes - we stayed for Wishes. And yes - we are somewhere in Frontierland... but where?? :confused3

ok I just figured it out...as did cjackearlbelow

I suspect we'll be staying off-property next time :sad2: so the dining plan won't even be an option... unless Disney offers another crazy deal next year. :rolleyes1

well you can always trade off 1 yr on, 1 yr off....:confused3

Ok, I guess that you took that picture from BTMRR!

just thought of that too...:thumbsup2

I snapped this picture on the way out:

Great picture!

Looking forward to the next Day and post! popcorn::

Your MK evening sounds like one of the best yet! I think evenings can be really great, or really bad with kids!!! BUT, a nice spot for the parade! I think!

We used our snack credits for breakfast items, for slushies, dole whip floats, GOOFY'S, Ice cream mostly... didn't use them on popcorn or soda or mickey bars, We used all snacks, struggled to use our final CS meal, but thanks to WPE, we got pizza to go for the train! A GREAT CS breakfast, btw, is at the Contempo Cafe @ the contemporary... breakfast burritos, massive FToast, great beverage selections!!! We discovered this on our last am there, but plan to go at least twice next time, unless I can find those burritos elsewhere!!!!

I have never seen that drawbridge go up at Epcot... your photos around the park are nice! Sometimes lemonades and soarin are all you need! Le Cellier, yum!

I realize I posted items backwards in time! MK before Epcot,

Your Specto pictures make me want to go...hmmm...I hadn't planned it in and we are doing a Pirates and Pals Wishes Cruise...

Maybe I'll send DH & DD back one night while DS & I relax at the resort...

But truthfully since David is I think becoming more of a night person-He didn't get that from me...:rolleyes1...he might be ok with it too and honestly he is less bothered by the crowds that I am...(something about the parade crowd-I think its when everyone all leaves and you get that moving sea of people...:confused3)

I forgot to mention how cute I thought Alex was with his Presidents fandex-(David would love one of those...we just got a Star Wars one...) and how he was regaling the CM in Canada with Presidential Facts...:lmao:-was she a cute girl by any chance...I've noticed that D loves to share his special info with cute ladies...:lmao:

SpectroMagic on your phone? :confused3 I want that! :thumbsup2

Bill got me the Illuminations, Wishes, and Spectro CD's for Christmas. When we bought the Blackberry Storms in Feb, they came with data cables. I used tunebite to make ringtones, I downloaded Spectro and Wishes onto my BB (full length and the ringtones). Then I set the full length version of Spectro as my alarm sound :thumbsup2.

The parade was awesome!! I really enjoyed it – what a unique parade!! So Disney!

Our original plan had been to take off right after the parade to avoid the Wishes crowds leaving later on, but...

Yes, "the best-laid plans..."

Alex wanted to ride Splash Mountain & Tim agreed to go with him so Zach & I rode BTMRR a second time. This time we saw this:

IMG_3604.jpg

Definitely a perfect ending!

Glad the boys finally got it out of their systems!

Our original plan had been to take off right after the parade to avoid the Wishes crowds leaving later on, but I convinced Tim that we should take a ride on BTMRR in the dark!! Everyone says it’s so fun that I just had to try it. The kids had mellowed out so he agreed. (We have found that when most kids start getting tired & cranky, our kids just get tired & mellow.) We had a fantastic ride on BTMRR – along with the other guests who had rushed over to squeeze in a ride before Wishes. After the ride, Alex wanted to ride Splash Mountain & Tim agreed to go with him so Zach & I rode BTMRR a second time. This time we saw this:

These are pictures I took during our ride! What a great memory from the trip!! (Good guess cjackearl!)

Wow, what fantastic pictures! That certainly is a great memory :thumbsup2

We headed for the candy shop in search of Cotton Candy while we waited for Tim & Alex. They eventually caught up with us. We got a bunch of stuff… cotton candy, salt water taffy, rock candy and an apron for my mom – most of which didn’t count as snack credits. We took our time wandering out of the park knowing we would be in for a long wait at the bus stop. I snapped this picture on the way out:

Yummalicious! Candy consumed while on vacation has no calories, you know ;)

And we were right… this was definitely our longest wait. It took 8-10 buses to get rid of the huge line in front of us. I think everyone at MK was staying at CBR. ;)

8-10 buses?! :scared1:

IMG_3619-1.jpg

I actually know this one! Tusker House! :woohoo:

Love the photographs of Wished from Big Thunder Mountain...

I hadn't planned to do Spectro-we are doing a Pirates & Pals Wishes Cruise (As beautiful as the nightime parades are-I get a little wiggy with the crowds and the rush to leave-sensory overload for me- but seeing your photos makes me think that we should do it one night...

The idea of going to a parade causes me sensory overload stress, but once we were there it wasn't too bad. The waiting in line for the bus at the end of the night was the worst part but it was really the only time all week that we faced crowds like that. :thumbsup2 I'd recommend giving it a try. The parade really is magical. pixiedust:

I love your nighttime pics! What a wonderful way to end your day!!

Based on the mystery pic,I'm thinking you're going to AK for day 7?

Yes Animal Kingdom... but where? and when? :confused3

Great pictures of Wishes!

I think you are going to a Tusker House breakfast at AK!

Yes!! Tusker House it is! :thumbsup2

I think a small bag of salt water taffy counted as a snack credit, but everything else did't. :confused3 I'm not sure why??

I didn't plan to ride BTMRR during Wishes... I expected there to be more time between Spectro and Wishes. :confused3 I guess I didn't look at my watch?? But it worked out really well - I was so excited to get those picturs. I was thinking of sharing them with all my DIS friends as I took them. :goodvibes

And I think you guessed the "when" part of the mystery picture. ;)

I love your photos of Canada outside of Le Cellier. Very different perspectives from the ones I took. :thumbsup2

Everything at Epcot is so beautiful during the F&G Festival. :flower3:

I'm so glad we finally saw Spectro - so Disney!

And BTMRR during Wishes wasn't planned... just sort of happened.

just thought of that too...:thumbsup2

Looking forward to the next Day and post! popcorn::

Coming right up!!

And I like your idea about 1 year on/1 year off regarding staying on vs. off property. The problem is we own a timeshare condo - it almost seems wasteful to stay on-property when we have an almost fully paid week off property sitting there... kwim? But I have been bitten by the Disney on-property bug... I guess we'll just have to sell it and buy DVC like someone I know. :rotfl:

Sounds like you worked out the snack credits pretty well. popcorn:: That's what I was trying to do, but it backfired on me. :headache: Fortunately we planned out the TS/CS credits well.

The President's fandex is one of the most loved souvenirs we've ever purchased on vacation! The obsession has worn off a bit, but Alex probably still looks at it everyday. :lovestruc

Yes - the Canadian girl (not a CM - just another guest we met on the monorail) was cute. princess: She was probably about 18-20. Alex likes the ladies too...

Bill got me the Illuminations, Wishes, and Spectro CD's for Christmas. When we bought the Blackberry Storms in Feb, they came with data cables. I bet I could do that with my new iphone... :cool1: I'll have to work on that.

It really was a perfect ending to the day. :goodvibes

8-10 buses?! :scared1:

I actually know this one! Tusker House! :woohoo:

The line for the buses was ridiculous!! Fortunately the buses were pulling up really fast, one would fill up & pull away, then another would pull right up. But yes... 8-10 buses. :scared1:

No calories... :rotfl:

As dawnbu40 guessed, we were off to AK. But where? MRYPPNS got that right… Tusker House!! And when? As CP hinted… before the park opened!! :cool1:

Our only definite plan for today was a pre-park opening breakfast at Tusker House with Donald & Friends (our last TS meal of the trip). Obviously we’d check out a few things at AK while we were there, but otherwise our day was free to do what we wanted. Jeff & Karen weren’t originally going to join us today but since they had a day left on their tickets and they missed AK on Thursday, they decided to join us for AK on Sunday. They would meet us at the park after breakfast.

The 6:30 alarm was a bit painful after the late night… this was the first morning Alex didn’t beat the alarm clock (aside from our 3:15 am wake up call). We were up, out the door and at the bus stop by 7:30. We caught a bus and arrived at AK around 7:50. We picked up our rental stroller and headed to Tusker House. It was so cool to be in the park before opening!

If it wasn’t for this couple, we would have had the street to ourselves:

I am going to have a pre-park opening Crystal Palace breakfast on my list for next time. I’d love to be walking up Main Street in a quiet park.

We checked in at Tusker House, had the mandatory group picture taken (which we didn’t buy) and were seated quickly. We hit the buffet, hoping to get back to our table before the characters started making their way around. The food was really good!! However, the interaction with the characters was just so-so… they seemed pretty rushed.

First up was Donald:

Then the Big Cheese:
IMG_3630.jpg

Just before Daisy reached our table, she got side tracked to lead the little parade:

Finally Daisy made it to us:
IMG_3648.jpg

Daisy was one of the major reasons we decided to try Tusker House this year. Alex always wonders why she isn't included with the Fab 5. :confused3

Goofy seemed the most rushed. He was barely at our table long enough for this picture:
IMG_3649.jpg

Alex was trying to ask him to sign the right side of his autograph book, but he signed the left and didn’t even notice Alex was trying to talk to him… which is difficult to do. :rolleyes1 I thought of mousescrapper & MRYPPNS and the autograph book page holder open thingys they made. Next time…

We finished up our delicious meal and headed out of Tusker House. The plan was the meet up with Jeff & Karen, who hadn’t joined us for breakfast since we’d made the ADR for only 4. Where did we go to meet them??

Answer to Mystery Picture #21

Great update, Amy. Tusker House breakfast before the park opens sounds wonderful. Too bad the characters were rushed. The pictures of the boys with both Mickey and Daisy are my favorites.

I have no idea where the mystery photo was taken. There are no car rides in AK are there?

I love love love your early morning pictures in AK! Really shows off the great atmosphere...:goodvibes

We have the same breakast booked for the same time next month...and I also liked that Daisy is there-you don't see her ofter...:confused3-I'm so glad to hear that the food was good-and I agree with you about the characters seeming rushed-but I've found that at most of the character meals-Liberty Tree Tavern was my favorite in that sense-I thought we got really good interaction there-but sadly they don't over that one anymore...:sad2:

(I got a little flustered when making ADRs this year so this is the only character meal I booked- and now with free dining it is really hard if not impossible to get anything else...:confused3) but we have the Pirates and Pals Wishes Cruise booked so we'll see Captain Hook, Smee and Peter too... )

I'll be waiting to read how the rest of your day turns out...:goodvibes

I don't remember how I felt about the amount of time the characters spent with us. I find pretty much all of the character meals are too rushed. But, it beats standing in line! :thumbsup2

I have no idea about that mystery picture.

Like I was saying on Carissa's TR,I want to try Tusker House, but Bill isn't interested at all. Great pictures of the empty park and great character pictures, I am sorry they were rushed.

I have no idea about your mystery pic, it is a great one!

The character interaction wasn't awful, it just wasn't the best of our 3 character meals. Goofy wasn't very good though.

No, no cars I can think of at AK... :rolleyes1

Great Tusker House pics.
Here's how to get ringtones from iTunes http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2021320. I just text them to myself via e-mail.

Thanks!!! I'll be trying that out today. :goodvibes

I thought they started doing characters at LTT again?? :confused3 Anybody know about that??

The Pirates & Pals Wishes Cruise sounds fun... I can't wait to hear about it.

I have no idea about that mystery picture.

It absolutely beats waiting in line. We never wait in line for characters unless we stumble across a very short line. We waited for a couple last year, but we didn't know any better at the time.

Like I was saying on Carissa's TR,I want to try Tusker House, but Bill isn't interested at all. Great pictures of the empty park and great character pictures, I am sorry they were rushed.

I have no idea about your mystery pic, it is a great one!

I think we'll do an early am Crystal Palace breakfast next time, as opposed to Tusker House. We wanted to see Daisy & we had eaten at CP last year. But it was fun to experience once. We might do it again sometime. :confused3
