"You set me up" and it only went downhill from there - Pop Sept. 2010 TR - THE END!!

Le Celllier was sooo good. We really enjoyed it too. I'm sure BF was probably annoyed at all the pictures you are trying to take of him. It looks like he was having a much better time after he was fed though! We love Illuminations too!
I love being on the top row at Soarin' as well. Sounds like a fantastic day at Epcot!

I just remembered this morning an incident we had at Le Cellier that I had written down to talk about, but forgot since I still have no idea where I put my notepad.

Just wait, we're about to have the 1st time all trip BF suggests something. And then him turn back into Grumpy again before the night is over. Talking in the garden in France helped a little.

We had just settled into our nice semi-romantic (because of someone's attitude) lunch when we overheard the following conversation between a daughter and her dad somewhere in the restaurant. I say somewhere because although I was facing out to the restaurant but I could not for the life of me find what table this was coming from:

Dad, look
Dad, dried banana look
Dad, look
Dried banana dad
Dried banana dad look
Look dad dried banana
Look dried banana
Dad look
Dried banana look
Look Dad
Dad, look
Dad, dried banana look
Dad, look
Dried banana dad
Dried banana dad look
Look dad dried banana
Look dried banana
Dad look
Dried banana look
Look Dad

Yes it really went like that. The mother at the other table that I saw again at Snow White and I exchanged glances. I understand that I don't have kids so maybe I'm less sympathetic, but I do believe in explaining to kids the concept of indoor voices in nice sit-down restaurants and what could this dad be doing for so long that his daughter could keep talking about having him look at her banana for a couple minutes straight? This was the one low point of the meal, no fault of Le Cellier's but it was like having IASW stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Incident over!

After Illuminations we waited for the crowd to die down since the park was closed, before heading out. I was getting so hungry by now, but the promise of BTMRR in the dark was ahead of me. I wanted to get a picture of us with Spaceship Earth all lit up. So we walked to the front and there were two PhotoPass photographers. BF saw one and what he was having people do, stopped in his tracks and said "let's have him take our picture. I want to get up there" Seriously this was the first time he suggested anything! Of course I'm going to get this guy to take our photo, but first let's go to the guy right next to him that has no line and then we'll go to the guy you want to.

We take our pictures with the first guy and then walk over the the line with the guy BF wanted to take our picture. There was no line for him at this time, but the people he was taking pictures of either a mom and daughter or two sisters, or two friends. They were really cute and funny. Just as they were finishing this couple comes from behind the PhotoPass guy and tries to cut in front of us for pictures. The PhotoPass guy told them we were next and that was where the line was. So we go up to the guy and BF tells him we want to jump up on the planter for our photos. So we do and this is the one time BF is acutally happy and having fun with Disney! I can't believe it! Maybe he'll stay happy the rest of the trip. Maybe this is a turning point? Awesome PP guy's name was Hannibal, I couldn't stop chuckling to myself when I saw that. It really is some of the cutest pictures we have.

We head up to the monorail, I promised BF that MK would still have places open to eat and no lines at EMH. I think we got the lime green monorail. We loaded in and everyone got a seat except these four teenage/college aged boys. I look in the loading area and there is a family/group waiting to get on the monorail and are about to until this one lady starts freaking out about something. I think it boils down to her not waiting to share a compartment with other people and they'll just wait for the next one. Whatever, suit yourself I'm going and my section is less crowded thanks to you.

We change over at the TTC and get on the MK express rail which was just there waiting for us and make our way to MK while watching Wishes. Pretty cool. We go through bag check and into Main Street because BF wants to see the end of the fireworks again. He really liked them. Afterwards, we cut through the stores to get to the central hub and head to Frontierland to get to dinner. It was jam packed crowded! Eventually we cut from one side of the street to the other. I promised BF it would get better its just all the day guests having to leave and soon it will be just us. At this point I realized I forgot our landyard I got for the trip and we're going to have to pull out our room key a few times.

We settle into to dinner at Pecos Bill. Have I mentioned I have a cheese fries addiction???

How is MK EMH?

Yay for a fantastic day at EPCOT!!

I was so relieved to see DBF turn around and begin to allow some enjoyment...its so frustrating and you feel so helpless when they stop themselves from being happy! :headache:

I also have a love for cheesefries...and nachos...and anything else I can have cheese on.

Cant wait for more! popcorn::

I know I really thought this was the turning point. Until a little later in the night.

Mmmmmmm Cheese

We enter the lobby and WOW! it was crowded. There was probably about 15 people either sitting down or leaning against the walls. Yikes! its probably going to be a bit of a wait before we're sitted. Its okay, because we checked in about 15 minutes early.

In truth we only waited about 5 minutes. We were just about to get out of the way to somewhere more comfortable, when our name was called and we were lead to a four seater table in the Prince Edward Island area of the dining room. I had acutally been there once before with my family, so easily over 10 years ago. Our waitress was Dana and she was a sweetheart. We had I believe one family spilt up between two tables next to us and for some reason I couldn't help but watch them and what they were eating, which will become helpful later on.

The restaurant from my seat

I ordered a red maple for my drink, it was delicious, raspberry puree with sprite. So good!

I had to order the Cheddar Cheese soup, I got a cup since BF was looking at me crazy and asked Dana to only bring preztel bread until the meal and then she could put some multi-grain bread since BF probably was going to be werided out eating steak with pretzel bread.

Disne496.jpg

Yum! Where's my preztel bread to dip into it?

I got the Mushroom filet, but subbed the cream cheese mashed potatoes for the risotto, BF got the strip steak with fries. Turns out he loved the preztel bread and had no need for the other one. Go figure!

And for dessert.....

And how did BF think of the meal before his dessert?

Disne502.jpg

Yes that's right, he just ate one of the best meals in Disney, definantly one of the best meals of the trip and that is the face I get for the number of hours I spent trying to secure this reservation.

Thanks.

The meal and service was outstanding! BF would only comment on the fact that there was more meat at this meal than at the Wave and that made him happier. Augh!

So what did we do after lunch?

No offense, Tankgirl but your BF does not seem very appreciative for all of the work you have done. Too bad you didn't have a companion with you that could have enjoyed Disney more. Maybe next time you will.

I'm glad BF was excited about the photopass pictures. Maybe next time you can give him a task, like find your favorite PP photographer in the park and then let you know when he finds him/her. Then maybe he will have something to do and not be Grumpy! LOL

Still, it sounds like you guys had a promising night at MK EMH.

I LOVE CHEESE. I LOVE FRIES. I DIE FOR CHEESE FRIES. OMG

mmmmm your pic of the burger with the fries looks so yummy!

Yep he was quite the cranky pants. No more bringing him to Disney unless he asks to go. He actually said he would Disney movies with me! I had to beg him to see Toy Story 3 with me. But no we're going to watch Beauty & the Beast, the Little Mermaid, Snow White and any other Disney movie I can get my grubby little hands on! I've tried to make him watch Toy Story ( we got about 20 minutes in to it) and Monsters, Inc. I need to make him see Up. I cried.

I know! I couldnt't believe he suggested something, especially PP! Since I pre-ordered the CD I really wanted my money's worth of photos so I kept stopping at everyone I could see and it started to annoy him.

Have you tried fries with cheese and gravy? O M G! Where I went to college they had them, but they were called Disco fries. Seriously if you haven't tried them, you need to!

Sorry I meant to tell about MK EMH yesterday but work got busy, then life got in the way last night, and today I have tons of things to finish up. I'm hoping to tell you all about it tonight when I get home. And maybe tell you about our Labor Day Safari with Donald while on safari.

WOW this is one of the most frustrating trip reports ever. I hate people who act crabby and ruin fun times for others. That's a big reason I travel solo nowadays. I'm glad photopass worked out for you.

I was at MK during EMH and it was packed!!!!! I stood in line for pretty much everything. I hope you had more luck.

I guess I'm kinda lucky I have friends and family that haven't gone/ are obsessed with Disney that I can take next time.

Can't wait for you to hear about my experience with MK EMH.

So after our dinner and my side of cheese... Mmmm cheese, melty melty cheese. We headed off to the rides. I really really really wanted to do BTMRR in the last row in the dark over and over again. But first we stopped at POTC, the wait time said 10 minutes so we headed in.

So you know that thought process of Disney, everyone heads to the right so head to the left? We headed to the left lane.... bad mistake. When we made it to the queue we realized while the left lane had a 10 minute wait there was no one on the right side and there was actually empty logs going off on the ride. It was cool to go on the ride at night because your eyes are adjusted more to the darkness. BF kept saying that one of the guys in prison seemed like "a person of interest in hiding in a cave" if you get what I'm saying. You know the one, the jail cell on the right with three people?

Then we were off to my favorite BTMRR, pull out the room keys again, what's the wait..... 30 minutes! What happened to the walk on of everything and no wait of EMH? Up we go and get tricked after being in queue and thinking the line was going to turn back to ride and then being led into another room and then another room and another, until finally we turned around and started to make our way back and forth and back until down the ramp we went and asked for the back row. It was as amazing as always, BF didn't really like the 30 minute wait.

Next Space Mountain, BF loves it and our day in MK he got cranky before going on it and then was stubborn and refused to go on it. We get over there and the wait is 50 minutes. Forget that! Its almost midnight. We have breakfast reservations at Tusker House tomorrow. So we head to the bus, at which time BF says I'm not waking up until 8:30am tomorrow. So much for him being in a good mood!

We get on a bus around 1am and get back and in bed by 1:30am. Maybe BF should just do whatever he wants tomorrow and go to whatever park or do whatever. I'm getting tired of him bringing me down. Tomorrow is EMH AM at AK and I really wanted to get on the safari early to see the animals more active than the first time.

Does he come with me? What about EMH at AK?

MK EMH was nuts that night! We only stayed for an hour or so- it was just too crowded and we were tired. I kept looking for you, but I didn't have my phone with me to text you. I could've rescued from grumpy BF (who, for the record, was very nice and pleasant when we met at the airport!)

I was looking for you too. But I didn't want to be the creepy stalker DISer. LOL. I was covering in glow bracelets made into a necklace and hairpiece. I told you, you saw him at one of his better moments.

Aw, sorry to hear your EMH night didn't go so well. You never know what you're going to get with the late ones. I find the first hour or so it stays crowded, but if you can hang in there after the 90 minute mark its pretty much walk on. At least that was our experience in Aug when we did the late ones at MK.
