You know you've been on this Disney forum too long when:

*When you start thinking of attractions and hotels only in their abbreviated forms and have to remind yourself to say the whole name when you're talking to someone about them!

Like when you are driving down the road and see a license plate that reads BCV-1398 or POR-3912 and you think, "Hmmm, they must be DIS people. There's (obviously) no way the BMV would issue a plate with DIS acronyms. :)

Or when you're actually at WDW and start wondering about some small detail regarding the World and think, "I can't wait to come back home and post this question on the DIS. Someone will know." Or better yet, you actually consider calling back home to have a family member post the question on the boards so that they can call you back immediately with the answer after someone has replied to the post. Because, of course, there's nothing better that your family has to do other than be your DIS secretary.

...when someone on the news says "This just in from the AP..." and you realize that in other people's worlds AP means Associated Press and not Annual Pass or Animator's Palate.

...when the stack of dirty laundry in your house has become taller than your seven-year-old.

...when you can actually visualize the people who post frequently because of their personalities (even though you've never seen their picture): civileng68 is mid-thirties, brown hair...Fantasia is blonde, very pretty...PrinceJohn looks like a college guy...I have a mental "picture" of everyone (including some not-very-favorable characterizations, but I'm not ABOUT to post those!) If these are not accurate, don't tell me! I don't wanna know!!

**edited to add: I had the "show pictures" thing disabled on my computer, and I just turned it on...so now I can see what some of you look like...example: I now see that Fantasia is not a blonde, but she IS very pretty! :)

When you write about WDW in your TAKS essay. Really, I did that yesterday! The prompt was something about what object/place reminds you of a special relationship. I wrote about my parents and our favorite places in WDW...

When you can't bear to read opinions that differ from yours and bash the OP for it.

When you consider different opinions from yours as bashing...

** When your hubby comes home from work, looks around at the house that has had nothing done to it since he left for work, :guilty: and says, so... you've been on the dis all day huh? (roflmao) :rotfl:

** When you realize there are others out there like you and that we should all belong to some kind of support group! :grouphug: haha!

** When hubby suggests that you join a 12 step program for your addiction! (of course that would require me to want to get rid of my addiction and why :confused3 on earth would anyone want to get rid of such a great addiction?)

And like several of you have said, half the fun of our vacation is the planning! And knowing that no one could plan it better for our family than me! :earsgirl:

Great thread! :disrocks:
Gabby

When your family says you should become a WDW tour guide and you can't wait to post that on the DIS :rotfl2:

When you're typing a document in Microsoft Word and keep thinking about what smiley icons you should insert :rotfl:

When you spend 7 hours of your 8 hour workday on the DIS (sorry boss!) :confused3

When you click on user cp more than twice in an hour (not that I ever do that!) :rolleyes1

When you start thinking about responding to the mug threads...against your better judgement (I haven't caved...yet!) :drinking1

Great thread!

Meredith

I realized I was spending too much time on DIS :disrocks: when I finally minimized the DIS Board window and started working on music for next Sunday ... the only songs I could think of were ... "When You wish Upon a Star" and "It's a Whole New World". Ooops!

*when you cry because someone hasn't posted a comment on your thread about hidden mickeys and where to find them in a day
*when it starts snowing outside and all you can think about is this reminds me of when i was in M.G.M out 1st time and they did some fake snow so you get on the dis to post about things you see that make you think of disney (it's snowing and i don't really care)

* When you show appreciation to someone by responding, "Thank Shoe."

* When you worry how Ducklite's new house in Florida fared during the hurricanes.

* When you not only read someone's trip report, but you tell someone else about what you read. Oy vey.

* When telling your secretary about your upcoming trip and pointing out that with your code you are saving more than 50% off rack rate she responds, "Would normal people know the rack rate in each season?" And you respond, "normal Disney people would."

When you actually say "LOL" or "DH" or "EMH" in a conversation

When you try to explain to your DH about something funny you read on the DIS. sigh My DH just rolls his eyes. He is used to it after 5 years.

Of course, if one of his partners plans a trip to Disney, he gives them my email address because he knows I have some great info about WDW to share ;)

Sorry, but I HAVE to tell you...................25, married, no children yet, Work full time as a Business Manager of a dept. of approx. 50 employees, and night time college student.

When you go straight from the disboard to bed and you dream about being in WDW , but, it feels like you had a nightmare once you wake up because you did none of your usual planning and forgot to pack sooo many of the necessary things! It's like when you were a kid and you would dream about going to school in your pajamas!

Noooooo! That's not right! You're a civil engineer, married 7 years, two kids, about 6'1", 185 lbs, green eyes, graduated summa cum laude from USC, have a scar on your knee from surgery repairing a ligament torn in a rugby game...I'm TOTALLY kidding! ;)

:rotfl: I do the exact same thing! I visualize what everyone looks like and when I finally see a picture of some people, I think "That's not what you're supposed to look like!" :rotfl2:

* when it' s necessary to check your email every hour to clear the hundreds of responses to your subscribed threads.

Worse, when you streamline your work process and then try not to tell anyone so that you can do your work in 4 hours and then spend 4 on the DIS Boards! (NOT that I actually did this...;))

* when you wake up wearing only a sombrero, with a club sandwich in one hand and a can of lysol in the othe......oh wait, wrong list. ignore.
