You know you grew up in the 80's and 90's if....

This was so cute and so many of them applied to me, I had to share this. I often don't read the forwards I am sent, but this one really cracked me up!

You know you grew up in the 80's and 90's if...

1. You've ever ended a sentence with the word SIKE.

I believe that would be "PSYCH!" .

how about the gun that used to come with the original Nintendo to shoot discus (sp) and ducks....and that stupid dog that would laugh at you when you missed.

OK, so was I the only one who shot anything and everything that moved for sport and then raced against time and starvation to make it to wherever I was going?

I actually tried to die on purpose sometimes so that I could make up a clever headstone. :thumbsup2

LOVE this list! Really takes me back.

..........uhhhh, I remember the game "Pong"......

Ok, I'm guilty of many of those (especially the 80's when I was a teenager). And I still wear high top Reeboks! I have to go to the Reeboks store/outlet to get them though and I'm about due for another pair :rotfl:

OMG, I am ten years older then you...I remember Romper Room
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..."

"You give love a bad name...."

anyone remember "pillow people"?

And she-ra and he-man were brother and sister! EWWWW

DH wanted to know who remembers the Thunder Cats?? I didnt like them they were weird.

I am still singing...

I loved watching Romper Room when I was a kid! DH and I both grew up watching the Thunder Cats. I loved them, especially Snarf :)

I'm not 100% sure either but my first thought was basketball. Magic Johnson vs. Larry Bird but I could be completely wrong. I don't even know if Larry Bird was a basketball player but that is what popped into my head when I saw those names.

Oh, I'm gonna cry...you didn't know LARRY BIRD was a BASKETBALL PLAYER???? No? That the Celtics were the most amazing team in the WORLD back in the 80's, when it was Dennis Johnson, Robert Parrish, Danny Ainge, Kevin Kite, Kevin McHale, and LARRY????

(i feel really old)

I guess this should be on the "growing up in the 70's and EARLY 80's" thread.

I still have my Atari center with the games and everything!!! I even play it once in a great while.

How about Swatch Watches?
My ALL TIME favorite show was Voltron!!
Where in the World/US was Carmen Sandiego, the computer game not the PBS show.

16. You made your mom buy one of those
clips that would hold your shirt in a knot on the side.
In the Dominican Republic, these are coming back in style!

I used to love Jem! I had the dolls and the cassette tapes they came with. I always wished I could be her. I still have the Babysitters Club shows on VHS somewhere.

I always knew since a young age that I was going to work with computers for a living. So when we got to play Oregon Trail in elementary school I thought it was great just because I was using a computer. Well, the game was fun too! ;) I have it on my computer at home and I play every now and then. I still can't win that damned game though.

I remember most of these. Does anyone remember playing lemonade stand on the computer at school? That's where you set up a lemonade stand and see how much of a profit you can make at the end of the week.

I have to include this book that I'm sure every preteen girl has read: Dear God, It's me Margaret. I saw this in the bookstore a few weeks ago and I can't believe they still make it.

OMGosh Yes! I used to play it on the old Apple IIE in high school! Boy, it's amazing how far computers have come since then. WOW!

I kicked booty on where in the world is carmen Sandiego!!! :)

Oh, wanted to mention that I remember when Oregon trail was used to learn how to use a mouse!! We had that in elementary school. LOL! Imagine giving it to one of the kids today!

This will make you feel un-old: I graduated in 1991 so I'm old enough to be your mother! And that list was hilarious! Except, what was the MASH game?
