how about the gun that used to come with the original Nintendo to shoot discus (sp) and ducks....and that stupid dog that would laugh at you when you missed.

I LOVED Duck Hunt...and Mickey Mouse Capades (I think that was the name of it) and Little Nemo's Adventures (I think that was the name of that one)...and Super Mario Brothers...

I remember watching the PBS version of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. Anyone here watched the old "GhostWriter" PBS series? That was my favorite TV series when I was a youngster. That and DISNEY AFTERNOON!!! Good times...

What about Bubble Bobble for Nintendo? I LOVED THAT GAME! I still remember how excited my brother and I were when we got Nintendo for Christmas. And when my brother beat level one in Mario Bros and it said the Princess was in another castle... HE WAS LIKE WHAT??? He thought he had beat the game! :rotfl:

Oh Ghostwriter - I had forgotten about that! We loved that show!

My brother and I were reminiscing about shows during Christmas dinner... So what about Today's Special? The one with the mannequin that would come alive - I think his name was Jeff?

My brother (born after me in 1984) loved the Elephant Show! I liked Just You and Me Kid - it came on in the mornings.

We were having a debate about Pinwheel - you know the song "Pinwheel, pinwheel, watch it spin round" Was it it's own show or part of a show?

Also - Bill Crosby and the Doodlewriter - with the squeaky sound it made!

I thought of another one; does anyone remember watching the afterschool specials on ABC? I think it came on on Wed around 4 pm.
 
I just found out you can see clips of a lot of these old shows on YouTube!

Now I'm gonna have to try that much harder to get work done today! LOL
 
I still have my Atari center with the games and everything!!! I even play it once in a great while.

DH bought me a Nintendo (original) a couple years ago just so I could play Bubble Bobble.

I forgot how annoying they were. Most of the time the games don't work, so I have to blow on them. Hitting them helps too. ;) I found mine at a flea market for $20. Games are around $5, sometimes less.
