You know you grew up in the 1980s if...

them were the good ole days..:o

Oh I've seen this list dozens of times! I was born in 1981 and either remember or am at least familiar with almost everything on there! 80s toys and cartoons ruled!

You have ever pondered why Smurfette was the ONLY female smurf
why was she the only girl??

You remember Punky Brewster
remember her, I wanted to BE her...she dressed so COOL!

You had or went to a birthday party at McDonald's
I was the birthday party "hostess" with the mostest (88-90)

So true...so true....I remember every single one of these....(never practiced the girl parts...LOL)...anyway, Fraggle Rock was my favorite show!! Red, Gobo and the Doozers...LOL. And I still have my orange Popple! Can you believe they actualy started selling them again? I think it was Wal Mart that is selling them. We bought a box of cereal the other day and it had a free Care Bears DVD.

Ah yes...the 80's. I also remember being scared to death the first time I watched the "Thriller" video.

Also, don't forget the cartoon "Thundercats"!

I grew up in the 880's so I should know this, but what is "wax on, wax off" from, anyway? I've heard it a million times and I still don't know....

It's from the movie "The Karate Kid". Mr. Miagi was teaching the kid (forget the name) karate and he related it to putting wax on a car by moving your hands in circular motions. Thus, the ever so popular and often used "Wax on, wax off"...LOL

Fraggle Rock! I loved letters from Uncle Travelin' Matt!

:D :D :D :D :D :D

I swear I still have Care bear and Strawberry shotcake Crap in my parents basment. Don't forget cabbage Patch Kids either.

Like...Oh my gawd...thanks for the memories!

That WAS my childhood. The 80s were a good time to grow up.

I say all the time that I do not know what happened to Saturday morning cartoon. Violence just seems different when it is Garfield smacking Odie upside the head, then when it is mutant space aliens with high powered lasers splicing through human bodies and leaving trails of blood behind them.

Did anyone see the new Blast II: Shockwave show? I love how they used PogoBalls. Those things were so awesome. I never could stay on one though!

Thanks for the Memories ! ! ! !

Growing up in the 80's was sooooo fun!

They should put the whole Fraggle Rock series on special edition DVDs...LOL
