You know you are old when...

.....when you get an AARP notice in the mail addressed to you. :sad2:

No, it's not time yet! However, can I take advantage of some of the discounts? :teeth:

When I realized my 5th grade son's teacher was born several years AFTER I graduated high school. She looks about 15!

You also know you're old when the style in which you did things when you were a teenager are now called 'old school'.

The first time I heard the song "1985" and thought - "Oh.My.God. This is my life! "Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Way before Nirvana...""

I love this song! It's my life, too. :)

My latest confirmation that I'm getting old....I flipped channels awhile back and landed on a Growing Pains reunion on Larry King Live. My DSis and I always thought Kirk Cameron was a cutie, so I called her and we watched the show together. I couldn't get over how old Kirk looked and was making some not-so-kind remarks about his crow's feet, etc. As I'm saying these things, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. "Oh my G--, I have crow's feet!" As my sister's dying laughing she comments, "And they just showed Kirk Cameron's age. He's 35, too." :headache:

When I had to correct my niece that her favorite "new" song, was a remake! :rotfl2:

I knew I was getting old when I started collecting those savings cards on my keychain (supermarket, pet store, etc) :headache:

Or as your children are growing up they always comment on how you need to get NEW clothes as the OLD ones are sooooo out of style and now THEY are borrowing them because they are BACK IN again :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

When I started using the phrase "Back in the day..."

ITA. Just this morning I was thinking that it's almost 18 years since I graduated HS  Now I feel like I'm getting old.

You know you're getting old when your kids teacher is younger than you. So far most of them was around the same age or much older but not anymore.

When your kids say, "What's 8 track?" :lmao:

DS asked a few weeks ago, "You know those phones that don't have buttons but just have that round thing?"

Me, "yes"

DS, "How did you call people?"

When I listen to my local oldies station and they are playing music I grew up with. :scared:

When I stopped being carded. :sad1:

....when I hear a car's bass (parked over 100 yards away and on another street) drowning out the sound of my TV and I actually go out, track 'em down and ask to please turn it down cause it is hurting my ears.

I am going to be known as the mean ole' lady of the neighborhood. LOL Well shoot it was interupting my DD's movie. She was leaving me alone for awhile and it disturbed my peace. LOL Maybe I should just take her over them to whine next time and let them deal with her.:lmao:

I have that song as a ringtone on my cell. I love it.

... your child (4th grader) gets to talking about Martin Luther King, Jr. with you and says "Wow!" when you tell her you were alive when MLK was. (I am 42 BTW)

I'm just starting to feel old... :lmao: this year I will be celebrating the 21st anniversary of my 38 Birthday ;)
