I listed Beanies a few months ago and they didn't sell.

My beanies sold at an average of $3 apiece. Since I received them all as gifts, it didn't matter to me what they sold for. And I sold a group of 6 Winnie the Pooh character beanies altogether for about $20.

Of course, I directed all of my beanie loving friends to my auctions, LOL, is that cheating??

Unless you have a rare or specialty beanie, they go for about 50 cents each.

I love this thread too. I check it everyday to see what's new and how everyone else is doing.

I did great this past weekend with fall clothes. I made $120 and I have 10 auctions ending tomorrow that are all clothes and are already up to over $70. It's a good week.

I need to make another $50 before our November cruise and everything else is just funny money.

How were you selling the clothes? Individually or in Lots? I have a couple lots of clothes that end on Saturday (or maybe Sunday) and they are doing "okay." I am just curious how / what others are doing.

Hi, heres another question from the #1 pre ebay seller dummie.
One day I hope to figure all this out myself so I don't have to bother/bore/annoy all of you....
I have a package that weighs around 8lbs. and am just curious as to how to mail it. I figured it to go to zip 90210(which I think would be zone 8-the farthest from me). I went to the usps site and figured it for parcel post and the shipping comes to 24.95 inc. ins. & dc. Is that right? Is parcel post the cheapest way to send this. I'm figuring IF it does sell, it shouldn't sell for more than 20.00, if that much. The usps confuses the H*ll out of me. I know about priorty mail, and media mail is for books and stuff like that, but what is it called when you just want to mail something regular. Is there a cheaper way to go other than parcel post.

How many of you do the gallery picture? I've started doing that because I find that when I'm looking at auctions, I look at those first. How successful are you with it? Does it really matter?

My next "goal" is to make enough for the deposit on a 3 or 4 night Disney cruise for next October. I am trying to dig up more items to sell!

No, not that I know of, though small things can go first class, and that is cheaper, too.

Depending on what it is... Like, with lots of magazines, if I can get all of the titles and month/year info in the ebay title, I don't spend the quarter for the gallery photo. I spend a lot of time listing all the topical info in my description, and include the free shot in the listing. Same with books, movies, anything that is media-related, I typically don't

For anything unique and decorative, I do use it.

Second situation.. Last Friday I made out some Delivery Confirmation labels thru the Shipper's Assistant assuming that payments would arrive Saturday.. Well - they didn't.. I do have payment now, but can I still use those labels - or do I have to do them all over again??

You can use the DC's you've already printed. The only thing that matters is that they get scanned. That is when the delivery date starts.

Well, I gave in and went back to the BaconButtie site, regenerated my script, and edited & pasted it into all my active auctions. Hey, it's working! Yay.

Glad you got it back up and working. Isn't it terrible that you spend most of your time checking all these different websites to see how your auctions are doing?!

I think I am going to try the BaconButtie's new counter script so I can consolidate and kill two birds with one stone!

Parcel Post is the cheapest and I guess "regular" way to mail something like a package. With a heavy object you may try looking at the UPS site and see if it might be cheaper that way, I have never tried so I am not sure if it would be or not.

For my son's clothes I sell them in lots by size. For my own clothes I sell them in lots by style or type of clothes except if I am selling jeans. Jeans seem to sell better individually for me.

I put up 3 items this morning before I left for work. By the time I got to work, all 3 had the opening bid on them. One item was a very popular little girl's purse from Gymboree. So, there are 6 1/2 days left on the auction and I just received an email asking me what I would take for it as a buy it now.

Opinions on whether I should be interested in this or not? I started it at $9.99 and they've been selling on ebay for $15-$20 recently.

So now is the time to list fall clothes? I have been going through everything this week planning on a september listing but if things are starting to sell now I may as well list them while I have the time! I did list some clothing before and nothing sold but that was some of my first attempts at selling and I think I posted them too late in the season.

Anybody know if lots of current magazines sell or if it is just the older ones? Mainly I am talking about Parrot magazines that I've been collecting for a few years. I have a huge box and they either have to be sold or something. They need to go!!!

The only thing you can do (even if you get the frame back) is to leave a followup message explaining the situation. Also if you hae already left feedback for the buyer, you can also post follow-up to it.

I think that if it is a specialty magazine, lots of recent issues might go... I would guess "Parrot" magazine is for parrot owners, about birds (as opposed to Jimmy Buffet fans - that would be "Parrot-head" magazine, right? )... Anyway, if they have a pretty good price new, you might offer lots of 6 or 12 and get bids. I guess if I suddenly got a Parrot and wanted info, I might shop on ebay for a lot of magazines... give it a try before throwing them away, anyway!

Maybe it's time for me to give up... I just got a neutral because the buyer claims that the video tape I sent her was not in good shape. I checked the movie and it was perfect. In the listing I stated that there were a few dents in the side of the clamshell. Now what. I can't win. I think I am going to cry.
