The quickie it's almost midnight and I'm tired but so excited intro..............

Me and Abby get to go to WDW for her 8th bday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:  :rotfl:

There are links in my signature to take you to Phases 1 and 2 if you're interested.

If not, we are:

Me - Mom, 40, Disney freak
DH - Bob, 45, could care less but goes to watch his kids have fun
KP - Abby, 7, loves all things Disney because she is raised properly :)

Phase 3 looked dim for a while. My husband used to work for Lehman so life was a bit shaky financially. Thankfully his subsidiary spun off and out of the bankruptcy proceedings so we are back in business. Whew :cool1:

Now Abby's previously cancelled trip was back on the table. If you read the earlier phases you'll see why we really wanted her to have a vacation as well. I, of course, would sacrifice yet another run down to FL to make my child smile. Anything for the kids. RIGHT!! ;)

It started DH and Abby which went to me, DH and Abby then me and Abby. The whole spinoff thing at work means we get paid but he has twice as much to do so can't go. So just us girls it is.

I'm sort of stalled here and it may be the world's shortest pre-trippie. I get such a high writing it all down that I had to do one.

We do have our ressies, Nov 2-7, at the Pop Century. Bob has his eye on the $ so no sneaking a deluxe in when he isn't looking. I got away with that in the first 2 phases. :) Oh he knew, he was just willing to let it go. Matter of fact, I have a much shorter leash on this trip than others. Except, perhaps, if I get him to let me go to DTD to the Christmas store. He LOVES Disney Christmas stuff. Go figure.:confused3

Anyway, Pop Century. Abby turns 8 on the 6th so we will try to get a princess dinner that evening. I'll let you in on the other ADR's in a bit.:)

Here's the plan so far.......

11-2-08

Fly down from CMH via Southwest - arrive 10:15am and head to Pop Century onboard the ME

After check-in we will either go unpack if the room is ready OR head straight to DTD. Abby wants to eat at the Rainforest Cafe which we will do if it isn't too crowded.

Head to MK when we finish shopping with a quick stop back at the Pop if we hadn't unpacked yet.

Grab a CS meal if we get hungry in the MK.

11-3-08

Early breakfast at Donald's Safari in the Animal Kingdom

Head to the safari, EE, Dinoland and ITTBAB. After those we either do repeats or wander around as the mood hits us.

Yak and Yeti for lunch. I had an early dinner here by myself when I brought my eldest daughter in July and it was fabulous. This meal is for me although I know Abby and she will like it too. Plus it's close to EE which she LOVES! I still haven't been on it. :scared1:

Close AK at 5 then back to Pop. CS for dinner or maybe order a pizza. I plan to buy a game or 2 when we shop in DTD so between that and the pool we can enjoy our early nights.

11-4-08

Up early, grab quick breakfast at Pop and head to Epcot for rope-drop. Head straight to Soarin! :) Work through the rest of our favorites at FW then head to Norway for the Princess Lunch at Akershus. We did the dinner here in July and really enjoyed ourselves, plus Abby is practically 8 so what's not to like?!?! :yay:

Wander the WS, shop, ride, Grey Goose slush for mom :), grab dinner bites if we feel like it. We may or may not stay for Illuminations. We've seen it and it's cool but not cool enough to fight the crowds if we're too tired.

11-5-08

Grab breakfast at Pop and head to DHS. Apparently we are to RUN :) to Toy Story Mania :) Then we can wander around, see some stuff we love and some stuff we've never seen. Hopefully, for the KP, see the HSM street show. Lunch will be whatever.

We will probably go back and rest a while and return for our dinner ressies at Sci Fi. This will be new for both of us but it comes highly recommended.

11-6-08

Abby's actual 8th bday!! princess: Early seating at the Crystal Palace for breakfast.....her favorite place.

Play at the MK then Kona Cafe for lunch. This one is also for me. It sounds great and we love to ride the monorail. We'll go play some more and grab CS if we feel hungry later.

11-7-08

Time to head home. We don't fly out until 3 so we can relax in the morning. Then rest contentedly until we get back to CMH.

Any comments, questions or suggestions are welcome!!!!

How is it not ONE of you told me we will be there during the Food & Wine Festival!?!?!?!?!?!?:confused3 Seriously, you guys are slipping.

So how bad will the crowds be? We will be at Epcot on a Tuesday. Will it being a weekday make the crowds lighter?

How did I miss this? Sheesh!:sad2:

Guess what else? Bob may come now! I'm working on him. I'm also working on the Animal Kingdom Lodge but don't seem to be getting anywhere! :) I'm trying to use my wiles but they aren't helping. :)

Well, the AKL is NOT going to happen :) ....

But DH is definitely going. KP is so happy and keeps telling me to plug my ears so she can scream her excitement!! :rotfl2:

I'd like some input on Kona Cafe please? Anyone?

Here's a picture of KP herself at the zoo:

ok, I'm officially talking to the wall! :) SOMEBODY give me a 'hey' wouldja?? :)

So, how sad am I? I am currently trying to talk DH into dumping the birthday girl in the GF kid program and taking me to V & A's for an evening. :sad2: I took TP1 and her 2 BFs there in July and I am hooked! It's not an every weekend experience but it IS an every WDW experience!!! I mean, WOW!!!
I simply cannot express how wonderful it was, even with 3 teenagers!! :)

So chime in, flame me, have a cow............just talk to me peeps!!!!

I know you're reading!

OK, if I PROMISE another LIVE trippie will you talk to me? :)

I'm desperate!!!!!

Hi JEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ur my favorite!! Except for SugarMomma who WILL be here and who is my BEST friend but isn't here YET!!!!! :)

oh the memories from the the CP :sad2:

WELL, IF Zachary hadn't spilled that OJ!!!!!!!! :)

he is still tramatized by tigger...he mentioned it about 20 times while we were having his b-day lunch there this year. tigger behaved himself and i got lots of love from eeorye...just think how much happier he would have been if i had had my jibitz thingy then and really who the heck loves troy not me

I have a houseful of "who loves Troy"!!!

C'mon ya'll, little help please. Anyone know about Kona Cafe?

Hey, I followed you here from your post in my TR! I'm so happy that your hubby can come with you, although I'm sure it would have been fun without him. I'm jealous you'll be there during F&WF, I still have yet to do that, but I heard it's great, and it might make it easier for you guys to snack your way around WS. As for Kona, I've only been there for breakfast, and it was out of this world. I thought maybe people were hyping the place for it's Tonga Toast and Macadamia Nut Pancakes, but I was WRONG. And if breakfast is that good, I'm sure lunch will rock too. BTW, I'm glad you love Y&Y, I do too, and it gets a pretty bad rep sometimes on these boards. I've been twice, and loved it both times, I'm sure Abby will love it.
