You guys might think I'm crazy

I have soooo many questions. I'm going to a seminar at CR in October. My mom is coming with so that my son can come too. We are staying after the seminar and planning on staying at AKL. So, my mom really doesn't want to pack & un-pack so I was thinking about not staying at CR (am I crazy) and just staying the whole week at AKL. Other question is does CR have any activities for kids? My mom's not in the best of health and won't be able to do the parks with my son during the day. It seems like there are more things for him to do at AKL. How long of a commute between AKL and CR? Will I be able to park at CR if staying at AKL? I need your help.... I'd like to make my reservations today.

The benefit of CR is that its right on the monorail so that might be better for your mother, if she plans on doing some of the parks. Plus she could just hop on one to go to the other monorail resorts, or take a boat to WL.

My DBF's sister and her family really enjoyed AKL b/c they are animal lovers, and the kids loved the pool.

Oh and AKL, though right next to AKL, is furthest from all other parks. I believe its in a completely different zip code.


So I guess I didn't help with anything, and you are probably more confused now than before I answered.

If you stay at CR during your seminar you could join your Mom & DS for a quick break or lunch or something. Or when I go to a seminar I like just being able to go back to the room if I have a break. I agree that your Mom might like just bringing your DS for a monorail or boat ride.

How about if you pack in 2 suitcases. One for CR part of your trip and one for AKL part of trip?

You don't say (or I didn't see) how old your son is but I would stick with CR - your mom and son can literally get on the monorail and go for rides - just for the heck of it! Also CR has the largest arcade on property (aside from DQ). The pool is fine. I would stick with CR for transportation ease all around with your son and mom.
