You Guys Are Looking At Me Like I'm Your Executioner! FINISHED-2/9!!

I had forgotten how much fun Thunder Mountain is. It's not too crazy, but not boring either. It's just right. I had a giant grin the whole time. I felt like an old pro, so I had my camera out the whole time, which is extremely risky for me. I was snapping pics of us the whole time, but it was at the wrong angle. This was the only good shot I got.
2611.jpg

Last Christmas, we rode Thunder three times in a row with out getting off.
It was then time for our Splash FPs. Mom and Dad sat it out bc they didn't want to get wet. Wimps. I didn't have my poncho to cheat and of course the only time in my whole life that I don't have a poncho, I get pretty wet.
It wasn't from our final drop. Oh, no.
We were coming around and were in harm's way when a log was going down the big drop. Big puddle of water right in my lap. Ugh!
I still love you, Splash.
Amy got some pixie dust.
2612.jpg

We then went to one my favorite spots for Wishes, right by Haunted Mansion. There's no one there, but later on in the trip, I saw Wishes in front of the castle, realized what the hype is all about and it changed my life.

This was my twitter profile pic for a while, but then I decided to be more livelier and changed it to a pic of me with Mickey and Minnie sporting my ears.
2626.jpg

Mom and Dad were punished for sitting out Splash.
2627.jpg

We then went on the Haunted Mansion. I was standing by the cemetery staring down Madom Leeoda when her eyeballs moved. I had been up for 16 hours and jumped 100 feet in the air.
Amy and Dad then went on Space and Mom and I went shopping.
2634.jpg

We helped Mickey prepare for our November trip.

2640.jpg

We were on our way to Tomorrowland when we got distracted.

2645.jpg

The second MSEP was about to start and there was literally no one there. We got front row seats by Sleepy Hallow. I used to show up to a parade at the last minute and stand a mile away, but this parade changed my life style. Front row is the way to go. SO magical. I also fell in love with MSEP, but I want Spectro back.
I might of acted like I was 5.

2667.jpg

Hello, Prince Charming.
2668.jpg

2669.jpg

2678.jpg

The funniest thing happened. They have some weird people who walk around in the parade. Mother was standing up (There was no one behind us) and was on the phone with Dad, her head turned away from the awesomeness for some strange reason when one of the weird people put his chin on her shoulder and asked her "Whatcha doing" in his high-pitched voice. She jumped about 500 feet in the air. The guy then apologized and they hugged. Everyone was laughing at her, especially me.
EMH had now officially begun.
2680.jpg

We met up with the others in Tomorrowland where we had some fro-yo.
It was SO crowded. The line was out the door for Buzz and Monster's Inc you had to wait two shows. I didn't even dare look at Space Mountain. We were really tired, so we decided to make our way out.
I got caught up in the moment.
2681-1.jpg

2683-1.jpg

2685.jpg

2684.jpg

A family asked me to take their pic with a DSLR that was about a foot long. It was intimidating. I was then asked by another by another family to take their pic with a one-time-use camera. I didn't even know that people still use those. Where do you get it developed? I don't know what I would do if I could only take 24 pics in Disney.

Dad and Amy went to the bus and Mom had to go to the bathroom and insisted I wait for her. I asked her if she could go alone and she said no. I sat on the bench by the barbershop, tired and ready to go when the music got loud and the Castle Medley started playing. The trees' lights were sparkling and I felt like something was going on at the castle, but was too lazy to go investigate.

The Medley ended and I heard a girl running, shouting "Oh my gosh! That was amazing! The castle kept changing colors every second." And I missed it. Shame on me. I then got drunk on pixie dust from being on Main Street and felt wide awake. I could of then easily stayed until 2 AM.

Amy called to inform us that the bus was about to pull up and so I started to book it, but Mother was too tired to run. We missed the bus by a minute and had to wait a while for a new one, but at least we got seats.
The Yacht/Beach bus was packed like sardines.
2691.jpg

The bus was dark and the driver was playing peaceful music from the parks. Most people were sleeping, but I had a giant grin on my face from the music.

When we got back to the room, I checked Facebook for the first time this trip and found out that one of the teacher's at my school husband was killed on his bike by a car that was escaping after a robbery. She was my fourth grade teacher and is the sponsor of a honor society I'm in and it broke our hearts. I also saw on Facebook that a boy's, I don't know him, but a friend commented on his status , dad died and he did his best to save him with CPR. I felt so guilty that I was in the happiest place on earth with my healthy family, having the time of my life and all of these people were grieving.

What fun it was to see all of your Magic Kingdom fun this morning! I am totally with you on getting Spectro back. :thumbsup2

Your mom must be busy with work. I haven't seen her around DIStown lately. Tell her hello. The family pictures are nice. Looks like everyone is having a good time.

I feel like I take the same pictures on Small World, too.

The Yacht & Beach Club bus picture was kind of funny. It doesn't really matter if you are staying deluxe or value - you may still have to stand on the bus!

Life is a series of ups and downs, good times and bad. We have to cherish those happy (and happiest place) moments, because we will all have our turns at the bad and sad ones. I have so many people in my circle right now who are going through tough times, too. I have friends who are dying, and it is a sad time. We can only encourage and support and love the families through their struggles and hope they will do the same for us when the roles are reversed. Thoughts and prayers for your friends who have lost these special people in their lives.

I'm still undecided but I think I've narrowed it down to hotel management, public relations, and marketing. It's my dream school! I HAVE to go there. What is your friend doing there? I haven't been to the actual school before, but it's the largest school in the country. I'm planning a trip for probably spring break to tour UCF, USF, and Uni of Tampa. Hopefully, there will be a few Disney days, too.
That's funny about your school fitting in the parking garage. What college do you go to? I love the feel of a large campus. The high school I go to now is HUGE.
Oh, you have to add them to your list! They're awesome. LT never makes it on the list, mostly because there's no characters, but I've heard the food is good. You can't go wrong with LT or CS.

My friend is a teacher for the preschool on campus. Sounds like you will have a busy spring break...but it will be so fun to tour all the campus's.

I went to a small private college and graduated in May 2011. I actually work for them now. Its called Sage College of Albany. Seriously so small compared to UCF. I went to a very small high school though too, so I liked how small Sage was...I was too scared to go anywhere big! My high school graduating class was only 92!

I LOVE Thunder Mountain...its one of my favorite rides. Its so much better at night too and in the back!
Awesome pics of MSEP!
Was that Magic, Memories, and You that you missed?

I've heard rumors that it's coming back in March.
Yea, she's super busy real life stuff. She comes on sometimes, I think.
I'm always taking pictures of the kangaroo.
That's so true about the buses. There's no way to avoid it.
I'm sorry to hear about your friends. I'll keep them in my thoughts. The other day, I was helping a girl who just got a wheelchair for peer counseling. I asked her how school was going and she said she didn't know because she's never there. I asked her why not and she said she's been in hospice. My heart broke and I wanted to start crying right there.

I didn't realize there was a preschool on campus but it makes sense now. I'm now thinking of the beginning of January. I am the most indecisive person ever!

92?! That's unheard of here. My class is close to 800 and there's about 3,200 kids at my school.

Thunder is the best at night. I don't think I've ever ridden in the back. I'll have to try it.
Thanks! I was proud of them.
No, it was the Kiss Goodnight. I listen to the music from it every night when I get ready for bed.

Yea, I guess the preschool is for the children of faculty/staff and students.

Wow- 800! Yea, thats kind of unheard of here! haha There are some around with about 400-500 students but not much more then that.

Yes- you MUST try Thunder in the back. Its so much faster and it whips you around so good!

Oh, I've never seen the Kiss Goodnight :sad2:

That's funny because that's the norm for public schools here.
Ohh, that sounds like fun! I'll have to try it. I REALLY want Test Track to be open when I'm there. I heard people say that they're starting to test cars and CMs are saying two weeks before they think there will be a soft opening and that's the day I get there and will be heading right to the World Showcase before dinner.
It's awesome. They do it about half an hour after park closing. It seems like a lot of people haven't seen it, but I always stick around and slowly make my way out of the park. I love being one of the last people.

I really hope you can catch Test Track! I'm sure you'll be able to...you will be there just 2 weeks before the official opening date. I can't believe your trip is almost here!

I hope so, too. I would freak out! I heard that it's getting passed on to park operations on the day I get there so that gives me hope!
I know! It doesn't seem real. 5 days! Time to start packing.
***********************************
Sorry for the delay, guys. I don't have any more pictures on Photobucket and the website won't cooperate with me. I'm only half way done with this TR and my next trip is on WEDNESDAY. This trip got here so fast. I have some errands to run this weekend to get ready, including a trip to the Disney Parks outlet. I also have to do my schoolwork that is due before the trip and I have a ton of work due the day after I come home.:surfweb: The last thing I want to do is come back to the real world and have to do hours of homework, so I'd like to have it all done before hand. I also can't forget about my lovely SAT class tomorrow morning at 8.
A week from this minute, I'll be about to close down the Magic Kingdom.
Have a great weekend!

Yeah, get that homework out of the way before you leave. You don't want to have that burden hanging over you all during the trip. Be free and enjoy your Disney time to the fullest! :cool1:

All I'll have to do when I get back is type an English assignment that will already be handwritten. Maybe tomorrow morning, I'll ask the sub to go to the library so I can get it out of the way.
***********************************************************
We leave TOMORROW. I am so excited. I've been running around like a maniac trying to get everything done and I finished everything except my room is a mess. That's just too bad, though because I'm going to WDW!!!
Tomorrow, I'll be heading to Epcot and hopefully going on Test Track, having dinner at Garden Grove, and then heading to Hollywood Studios for Fantasmic, Osborne lights, and whatever else we can fit in. We come home Monday.
Hope everybody has a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I also wanted to mention that I'll be tweeting live updates and pictures HERE . You do not need a Twitter account to read and view my pictures, just click on the link.
I'll possibly do an August update in the morning if I'm up early enough, but I already have to get to school early to take a Psych test.

I'm home! :(
It was such an amazing trip. I can't get over some of the things that happened. The new FL took my breath away. I'll post pics of lunch at Be Our Guest in the next few days and then finish the Aug TR, so I can start the new one. The weather was really cold. We wore winter coats everyday! The high for the whole trip was only 70. We also did a lot of new things this trip. I can't wait to share it all with you.
I'm already thinking about titles for the new TR and this is what I've narrowed it down to:

Ma!!! Where's the dole whip? Get your paws off!
Go with the flow, just keep swimming, and don't tell anybody.
Excuse me, travelers.
It's so magical
Nobody told me.
Stop snorin', let's get to Soarin'
I will never surrender Stacy

What do you think is the best one?
I'm going to bed now and will not have a view of the Boardwalk and will wake up early, which I always do, but this time I won't be going for a morning walk, watching Stacy, and going to a theme park. :(

Aw I'm sorry you're back home...I told you to stay!
I like the "Stop Snorin;, lets get to Soarin'" I think you put that on twitter and I loved it!

It is a bummer when you come back to real life, isn't it? No Stacy TV. No thought about which park has morning EMH. No smell of chocolate chip cookies in the air.

I should of listened to you! haha
I remember tweeting that. I had to open all the curtains and I brought Mom and Amy breakfast to their bed. They really thought that was magical and wondered why I don't do that at home. I think I might go with that one, but first I need to finish this TR and I'm only half way through the trip. If only the trip was as long as the time it takes to write the report.

School is not as magical, but doing well in school will get me into my dream college, which happens to be only 40 minutes from Disney. Planning new trips helps. :goodvibes

November 25, 2012

Since Be Our Guest just opened, I wanted to review it and give my tips on it before finishing the Aug TR. I'm not going to do all of Nov 25 right now, just the parts that have to do with Be Our Guest.

This was our last full in Disney and I had planned for us to have lunch at Be Our Guest. We went to the Little Mermaid at 10:30 and there was already a line out of the castle. I knew that could not be good, but I also knew I wasn't leaving until I ate there.

We had split up and decided to meet up at 1:00 in front of Beast's castle. It felt so strange to say "Where are you? I'm in the New FL!". Mom called at about 12:45 and said there was a 40 minute line to just get in the restaurant.

I checked back at 1:10 and the line was 35 minutes. I talked to the CM whose job is to tell people they can't eat dinner there until April. He told me to come back at 1:45. Amy and I were sharing a nutella waffle sandwich (YUM!) and then were going to get in line for Beast when Mom and Dad called and said they were next to go inside the castle.

I honestly thought they were lying.
They got there exactly at 1:35 and waited less than 5 minutes. A long line quickly built up behind them.

Now, let's get down to business to defeat the Huns. Did they send me daughters when I asked for men? Oops, wrong princess.

You walk in and are greeted by a couple of these guys. Stacy thought they needed a pedicure.
4189-Copy.jpg

Straight ahead is the ballroom and to the right is the holding area to order for CS.

There are digital menus and you're supposed to decide what you want while waiting.

These guys take guard and talk amongst one another.
4190-Copy.jpg

4191-Copy.jpg

You then are given a plastic rose and are directed by a CM to a touch screen for credit card and I think a register for if you're paying with cash. We paid with CC, so I'm not sure about the cash.

While the fam ordered, I went to go find a table. A lot of the tables were full, but people were starting to finish up and leave. The line closes at 2, but as long as you're in line to get into the castle by 2, you're fine and won't be rushed.
4191-Copy.jpg

I found us a table in the Rose Gallery.
The whole time I was in the restaurant I was thinking "Oh my gosh!" I could not get over how amazing it is and still can't. It is the best thing Disney has ever done. No pictures or reviews can give this place justice. You must at least eat lunch here.

4194-Copy.jpg

4195-Copy.jpg

By the time the fam had ordered, the restaurant had cleared out a lot and they found a table in the West Wing so I went to join them.
4196-Copy.jpg

4197-Copy.jpg

We all agreed that the West Wing is the coolest room. It's dark in there and every couple of minutes you hear the Beast roar and his portrait moves, as does the rose.
The picture quality isn't the best but the lighting in there was weird.
4198-Copy.jpg

4199-Copy.jpg

Each room has cups and real silverware, which you get yourself.
About 5 minutes later, our food was brought out to is in a cart. Hang on to your receipt! The CM asks to see it.
We shared the steak sandwich and the kids' slow-cooked pork since we had just eaten something right before.

Yes, we had two lunches, but it's Disney and I wasn't not going to eat at Be Our Guest.

Oh my gosh, the food was so good! It was way above CS quality. I can't believe lunch is only CS! It could easily be a TS, too. This was my favorite meal of the trip. The kids' portions are big, too.

The steak sandwich:
4200-Copy.jpg

A third of it was already ripped off. The vultures, err, I mean my fam, beat the camera to it.
The kids' slow-cooked pork:
4201-Copy.jpg

The forbidden rose:
4203-Copy.jpg

The Beast's portrait:
4204-Copy.jpg

The rips would blow during the Beast's fits, which happened every couple minutes. Think of T-rex or Rainforest.

After eating and freaking out over how amazing everything was, we took some pictures.
4207-Copy.jpg

4208-Copy.jpg

The Ballroom:

4211-Copy.jpg

It's snowing!! This Floridian was amazed.

Back to the Rose Gallery.

4219-Copy.jpg

We ranked the rooms from greatest to least in West Wing, Ballroom, Rose Gallery. They're all amazing, though.

4224-Copy.jpg

4225.jpg

Overall:
This place is so, so, so amazing! I don't know if I'll ever eat lunch anywhere else at MK again.

Timing:
Get here before 11 or after 1:30 and no later than 2.

While we're on timing, for Little Mermaid, it has the same popularity as Winnie the Pooh. Enchanted Tales with Belle I'd do first thing. You can probably get Pooh FPs, ride Pan, Belle, Little Mermaid, and then use your Pooh FP.

I LOVED the Little Mermaid ride. I went on it 4 times and just could not get enough. It's one of my new favorites. It's so well done and the queue is awesome, but will be a pain in the rain and especially in the summer.

When we were there, the digital wait time sign was stuck most of the time.
4227.jpg

4228.jpg

4232.jpg

We thought it was cool how when you're in the Belle area, you hear Belle music, but as soon as you step one foot past Maurice's popcorn stand, you instantly hear LM BGM.

One night, the sign said 85 minutes, but we had the whole ride to ourselves.

Oh, and if you can't watch Wishes from Main Street, the new FL is amazing. Stand right in front of Gaston's Tavern.
4167-Copy.jpg

Stand right here, but at night, of course!
4166-Copy.jpg

4157-Copy.jpg

4160-Copy.jpg

We took prom pics with Gaston.
4162-Copy.jpg

4163-Copy.jpg

4164-Copy.jpg

4165-Copy.jpg

He was so in character and was so funny! He saw my birthday button and told me I picked the perfect way to celebrate by meeting him. I later wished him good luck with Belle and he told me to go talk some sense into her. He also would walk away and go explore in the middle of greets. He went to go check out his teeth in a store window. It was too funny!

4156-Copy.jpg

4153-Copy.jpg

4152-Copy.jpg

New FL did not disappoint. I also loved Stacy's review of it:
"Nobody told me Ursula was going to be here! She's not behind me, is she?"
"There's a beast in my tummy. Good thing I can dine like one at BOG"
Back to August!

Monday, Aug 6, 2012.
I woke up and thought how much it was going to suck waking up two weeks later to go back to school. I was right.

This was the first day I brought a bag to the park bc I wanted my autograph book for when I met Peter Pan and my ears for when I met the mice.

Despite my being a drill sergeant, we didn't leave the room until about 8:40 and got to the park about 9:10. Since the park had been so crowded the night before with EMH, we thought the crowds would be low today. We were wrong.
Ahh!
2693.jpg

MK! Get excited!
2694.jpg

The fam hustled it on over to Buzz, I think, but I took my time walking "right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A. It's the heartbeat of America. The heartbeat of a holiday."
2696.jpg

I got FPS for Mickey, the Princesses, and a surprise FP for Dumbo.
2697.jpg

2698.jpg

Ahh!!
2699.jpg

2700.jpg

2701.jpg

2705.jpg

I want to say the fam did the speedway and there was no way I was doing that in August in 90 degree weather. No thanks.
I got in line for PPF and then looked at my FPS and realized I was eligible for more, so I got out of line to get them. I then realized I had a blonde moment because I had looked at the Mickey FP, which isn't attached to the system, so I shamefully got back in line.
2706.jpg

2708.jpg

I then walked over to Adventureland to meet the real Pan.
2715.jpg

2717.jpg

2719.jpg

The walkways weren't crowded, but the attraction wait times were high.
2721.jpg

I got in the short line and called my fam to tell them to get over to Adventureland bc history was about to be made. They said they'd be there in a few minutes so I had to let people go in front of me.

It was tough watching my guy with other girls.
Finally it was my turn!
2722.jpg

2723.jpg

2724.jpg

2725.jpg

I made this myself. When I bring it, it's a big hit.
2726.jpg

I wanted to meet Aladdin and Jasmine next, but nobody else would so we went on Pirates.
2727.jpg

It was then time for a closeup in front of the castle.
2728.jpg

2730.jpg

2731.jpg

2732.jpg

2733.jpg

We talked to a Photopass Photographer for a few minutes. She asked me if I live in FL, which I do, and then asked me if I passed my FCAT. She told me she's a 10th grade English teacher in FL and so we talked about my favorite subject. We talked about my demon child, AP LANG, and she said she was too lazy to take it bc of the summer assignment. I thought that was funny!
Speaking of Lang, I could be working on that now, but this is more fun. Tomorrow or Sunday are both new days.

"Bang! Bang Bang" went the trolley! "Ring! Ring! Ring" went the bell
2734.jpg

2735.jpg

2737.jpg

2738.jpg

What's up, Aurora! You need to grow up on Once Upon A Time.
2739.jpg

We used our FPS for Mickey and waited just long enough for me to take a few pics of the queue.
2740.jpg

2742.jpg

2746.jpg

How cute is Disney?!
2747.jpg

Mickey and Minnie's pages:
2749.jpg

2751.jpg

They loved them! Minnie was precious and insisted that her handler put my autograph book on Mickey's dresser to dry while we take pics to prevent smudging.
2752.jpg

2753.jpg

2754.jpg

We then used FPs to meet some royalty.
I went back and fourth on whether I wanted to wear my ears to meet the princesses, but decided to be eloquent.

There was a group of little girls, who were dressed up as princesses, but weren't freaking out ever meeting them like I was. Little kids have so much to learn. It's Cinderella! She's a princess! Freak out!

There were two girls behind me who are a few years older than me and were freaking out saying that meeting the princesses is the greatest thing that will ever happen to them and how this is the best day ever!
Now that's the kind of enthusiasm the princesses they deserve. All the princesses were flying solo today. No princes to be found. I guess someday our princes will come.
Cindy was first!

She loved my autograph book and asked for permission to see the rest of the pages! Of course you can, Cinderella! You're a princess. Do whatever you want!! She was able to figure out which page was meant for which character.
Next, was Belle. I can't remember anything from her, so she was prob no big deal.

Next, was Rapunzel. I was so happy they added her to Town Square because I had wanted to meet her for a while, but wasn't willing to wait an hour to do so!
