"You Guys Are Cast Members... Right?" - A December 2011 TR

Okay, you and I are exactly the same with the whole sharing the bed deal. I do the exact same thing. When I share a bed, I get totally still and just don't want to rock the boat or move, for fear I'm going to wake the other person up. :lmao:

I wonder where you're going? The castle perhaps.

I have trouble sleeping at Disney too, I think because I'm always just all excited for the next day!

Hmmm...my guess is a breakfast at Crystal Palace!

Thank you! :goodvibes I just want to make sure though, did you see the rest of my responses? Sometimes I'm wary of putting my responses in the 'quote' part but otherwise I tend to lose track! So I hope you saw it all!
I know, I need to get my behind going on another update! Thank you for the Chandler quote, hahaha I love it. :rotfl:
Yes, I saw all of your responses, but I was at work yesterday when I read them so I couldn't take the time to respond to all of them. Sorry! I loved them all though, sounds like we are going to get along. :)

I am weird about sharing a bed too, but the worst for me is sharing a hotel room with someone. At OKW our bedroom consisted of my mom and sister in one bed and me in the other. They were so annoying rustling the sheets and breathing heavy, etc.

Dis confession: I have been to the world probably 16+ times, but I had never seen the whole opening show until this January trip. So don't feel too bad!

Crystal Palace, yay!!! :yay:

I have sleep issues when I sleep away from home. I swear I must wake up every hour:confused3 I think I need my own pillow and blankie!

Love the MK opening show, we've only seen it once as the other times we go in to MK early for ADRs.

MMmmmmm Crystal Palace...

I can understand that! Haha the funny thing is that I DID have my own pillow and blanket! But the first night, they didn't really help! :rotfl:

I love it too! It's adorable.

Hahah yup, I didn't feel like keeping the secret this time.

Yay for another update !!!

Ugh on getting no sleep. Fortunately, I sleep really well at Disney. All of the exercising really helps. Understand how you feel about sharing a bed. Those double beds are really tough to share even with a close friend or family member. It is easier for me to share a queen and no problem with a king sized bed. My hubby works night shift 7 days out of the month though and I really enjoy having the bed all to myself sometimes. I hope you got some good rest later on in the trip.

I have never seen the rope drop show at Magic Kingdom. I always make it a "must do", but never get around to it. I hope we can see it next trip.

Looking forward to reading more.

Susan

I normally sleep really well in Disney too! Just the first night in a new bed plus that extra person was throwing me off a bit! I definitely got some sleep on the trip, don't worry. :thumbsup2 Yeah, I think the double bed was a factor too. I would share a king bed in a heartbeat! I definitely understand enjoying having the whole bed to yourself... that's pretty much how I roll...

Yeah, it's really cute! Yall should definitely see it in April! I bet your DD would love it.

Thanks for commenting! :goodvibes

I'm joining in and really enjoying hearing all about your trip:goodvibes

Unfortunately I don't get that much time to post anymore due to classes being extremely busy this semester, but I have been really enjoying reading your TR and thought I would take a quick moment to tell you so.

I'm looking forward to reading more!!

Hey! Thank you! I'm glad you like it.

Aw, yeah, I can understand that! Thanks for commenting though! It means a lot.

Thank you so much! Good luck in all your classes! Hope to see you on here again!

First things first.....I am completely in love with Once Upon a Time! That show is sooo great!

Sorry you didn't get more sleep....hope it didn't affect your touring the next day. I love the Rope Drop show at MK...it really is magical. On our trip this past May, we went to MK on our last park day & got there for the Rope Drop show. During the countdown, a CM walked up to us & sprinkled our little boy with a handful of confetti.....it was so fun & cute! :goodvibes

Hmmmm.....were y'all going to have breakfast with some friends from 100 Acre Woods? :confused3

YAY! Another fan!!! That show's amazing.

Aw, it's okay. I actually did really well, so thankfully it didn't affect the day! I love the rope drop show too! It's the cutest thing. That is TOO cute! Some CMs are really great. I bet that made it even more special for him. :goodvibes

Hahah, yep! I didn't want to keep the secret this time! You get the best view from there.

Okay, sooo excited you updated!

Hahaha aww yay!

That is a bummer about the bed situation. It's never fun not being able to get settled or like, feel comfortable when it comes to sleep, especially in Disney World where sleep is like, necessary so you don't fall apart. But I have to say I definitely laughed at the thought of you sitting up listening to Innoventions on the floor. You do some pretty amazing things when you can't sleep.

Yeah, I'm kinda weird. What can I say? Hahah. But don't worry, I got some sleep on the trip. :thumbsup2 Hahaha I laughed at myself on that one too. I really don't know what goes through my head in those sleep deprived moments...:rotfl:

There's nothing wrong with showing MK a little extra love... And I had a feeling I knew why you guys were headed there. ;)

Personally, I don't think so either! Hahaha good guess!

Okay I evidently need to watch this Once Upon a Time show because some other people were talking about it in my TR, since I'm a big LOST fan. That guy does look dreamy. :cloud9:

Well, I never watched Lost, but yes you should DEFINITELY watch Once Upon A Time!!!! It's so good. You're not too terribly far behind, either! And um... yeah. He's EXTREMELY attractive. That picture doesn't even do him justice. I have a huge crush on him haha. I'm not ashamed. :lmao:

LOVE their shirts! Matt got a very similar one at Target that was just Mickey in a Santa hat and it's super cute. I <3 Target.

Cute! I love Target too! It is, in all honesty, my favorite store!

We've never seen the RD show either at MK. :rolleyes1 It's just too early for us when we're on vacation and like getting to sleep in til 8. But I have a good feeling when we have kids and take them to Disney, we'll definitely be seeing it.

Well, don't worry, I understand. Disney can take a lot out of you! It's funny, because 8 at Disney IS sleeping in! Yet today when I woke up at 8 I was like UGHHH WHY IS IT SO EARLY. Yall should really see it someday! Most of the time MK opens at 9, so you could get up at 8 and probably still make it to see it!

I love all the Christmas decorations! Maybe one year we'll go around then, though I just love Christmas time at home so I feel like I'd be a little sad to be missing part of it... That and I like going in January to help combat my post-Christmas blues.

I know! They're precious. I understand post-Christmas blues! I would definitely go at least once in early-mid December though, the castle lights and the Osborne lights are so worth it!

I know where you guys went, and I can't wait to see your photos because it's one of our absolute favorites! I just love Eeyore and Pooh and Piglet and Tigger so much!

Yay! It's my favorite too! I love them all too, they are honestly my favorite group of Disney characters, and when it comes to picking Disney favorites, it's not easy for me, so that's saying a lot about them! Hahah good for them.

Great update, can't wait to read more!

Thank you! Thanks for commenting. :goodvibes

I LOVE Once Upon A Time. I love pretty much everything about the show. I wish I could be the evil queen without the whole evil part. She is gorgeous and has the most amazing wardrobe.

YAY! Another fan! I love it. OH yes, I totally agree. She is beautiful. She's a really good actress too. She does evil SO WELL.

Okay, you and I are exactly the same with the whole sharing the bed deal. I do the exact same thing. When I share a bed, I get totally still and just don't want to rock the boat or move, for fear I'm going to wake the other person up. :lmao:

I wonder where you're going? The castle perhaps.

That's too funny. That's literally the exact same thing I do! Hahaha I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Hmmm... not the castle! But you're definitely in the ballpark. :thumbsup2

I have trouble sleeping at Disney too, I think because I'm always just all excited for the next day!

Hmmm...my guess is a breakfast at Crystal Palace!

Yeah! That's definitely one of the factors for me too. It's hard not to be excited about your next day at Disney!

Well, your guess is correct! Bravo! :dance3:

Yes, I saw all of your responses, but I was at work yesterday when I read them so I couldn't take the time to respond to all of them. Sorry! I loved them all though, sounds like we are going to get along. :)

Crystal Palace, yay!!! :yay:

BAH! I almost missed your comment! Oh goodness. That would have been sad.

Okay great! I thought you probably saw them, I just wanted to make sure! I would hate to think that after that long comment that you would only see "Thanks for reading." hahaha.

Oh my gosh. I have the EXACT same problem. And it's especially weird because I shared a room with my sister for like 16 years, so you'd THINK I'd be used to it... but no. I totally get it! It's also terrible when you can hear the other people snoring. Omg. :faint:

Hahaha well good! I'm glad you finally saw it, too! I loved it, it was so adorable.

YAY! :woohoo: I am slightly obsessed with that restaurant.

Just getting here and all caught up...loving your trip report! Your writing is so effervescent! Can't wait to read more!

Just getting here and all caught up...loving your trip report! Your writing is so effervescent! Can't wait to read more!

Hi! I'm so glad you got all caught up. Thank you SO much, that's so sweet! I really appreciate you commenting and I hope you continue to enjoy! :goodvibes

First of all, WHERE did you get the entire Innoventions music loop for your Ipod??? I absolutely LOVE that music, I need it! :flower3:

I'm sorry you couldn't sleep, I'm not a good bed sharer (is that a word? :rotfl:) either. However, it's because my husband snores and I need lots of room, so I'm always shoving him, punching him, moving his legs out of my way, so I'm kind of a jerk...he spends a lot of time sleeping on the couch. :rotfl2:

Yay for the Magic Kingdom! Isn't the opening show so magical? I LOVE starting my MK morning seeing it!

I think someone already guessed you were going to Crystal Palace, I love that place!

First. I can relate on the sharing of the bed. I am married almost 23 years and I still stay on my side and try not to bother him. He on the other hand rolls all over the place, steals the blankets, swings his legs and arms all over and gets mad at me when he rolls over and bumps his head in to my elbow. Um yeah that wasn't me honey. I have a body pillow on both sides of me and I pretty much just lean one way or the other.
So when I have stayed with my BFF on trips, it's ruff. I just don't sleep well.

I love the Once Upon A Time too. The evil witch is so good.

Because All Star Sports is the best resort on property. Duh. Hahah I really have no clue. I mean, if you really think about it, you should be able to use your mug at whichever resort you want, considering you paid for a mug at a Disney resort either way. I'm sure there's some rule against it though.

I really want to stay in the values but my boyfriend doesn't want to. Stupid people having unrealistic expectations after having spent their entire childhood at the Contemporary!!

Hmm... I feel like I'm not smart enough to talk to you... but really.

Aw, grad school isn't that hard. Honestly! I ask soooo many questions and come off like such a ditz to my adviser all the time but eventually it all works out! Just a lot of repetition and making sure you start things early enough (which I fail at utterly. Such a procrastinator).

Oh that would be SO cute as a Halloween costume! I love that outfit. I love Wendy's dress, too. Yeah, have you seen mom2rtk's work? Goodness gracious, she's phenomenal.

Yes! So jealous that I can't dress up in fun dresses (especially at my work, where the general clothing guideline seems to be 'would double as excellent camping attire').

Okay, I really hate sharing beds but after having two (or more, right now we have four!) cats and two people in a full-sized bed, it's ceased to be a problem. Our king at Port Orleans was HEAVENLY though (I take my own pillow and blanket because ~issues~. Sometimes I have problems being an adult but it's just so much nicer to have my special things in a special place!). Mmmmm. I miss it so much. I also miss being able to listen to music in bed!

I've never seen the opening show either. idk why, it's just never on our list? Breakfast food and monorail rides always seem to beat out the welcome show! Also chipper singing that early will sometimes irritate me (especially if I haven't met my morning Mickey Waffle quota!).

Mickey's Christmas Carol is way adorbs, even if the only ways I've ever been exposed to it is the Emporium windows and some random Disney Christmas sing-along video. Scrooge McDuck for everything ever!!

So jealous of your castle pictures :( I need to work on those soooo badly (because my mere five zillion night pictures are NOT ENOUGH. NO WAY).

Love reading your TR! From what I gather me and you are totally alike in many ways! I look forward to reading more as you update!

First of all, WHERE did you get the entire Innoventions music loop for your Ipod??? I absolutely LOVE that music, I need it! :flower3:

Omg... I don't even remember where I got it! AHH I'm sorry! :sad1: Okay I'm seriously gonna try to find it again and if I do, I'll PM you!

:rotfl2:

Aw it's okay. Hahah oh I KNOW how it is with snorers! They're the worst! One of my roommates in college had the worst snore I've ever heard on a girl and those were some miserable nights! My dad is a snoring machine as well haha. However, having to share the bed WITH the snorer? NO WAY hahaha I couldn't! I give you credit for not making him sleep on the couch every night!

Yay for the Magic Kingdom! Isn't the opening show so magical? I LOVE starting my MK morning seeing it!

It is! loved it, I thought it was so adorable.

I think someone already guessed you were going to Crystal Palace, I love that place!

Yep! But it's okay, I made it pretty easy (for those who have been there) this time!

Hahahaha! :rotfl: That is like the thing I dread the most about having a husband!
Oh yay another fan! I know, it's such a good show! And YES. She is so convincing as the evil queen, I think I'd be scared of her in real life!

I really want to stay in the values but my boyfriend doesn't want to. Stupid people having unrealistic expectations after having spent their entire childhood at the Contemporary!!

Hahah, well I can see not wanting to go to a value after the Contemporary! But in all honesty, they're really not that bad and they're adorable! I may have said this before but they're definitely worth staying at once!

Aw, grad school isn't that hard. Honestly! I ask soooo many questions and come off like such a ditz to my adviser all the time but eventually it all works out! Just a lot of repetition and making sure you start things early enough (which I fail at utterly. Such a procrastinator).

Well, I can relate to the procrastination!

Yes! So jealous that I can't dress up in fun dresses (especially at my work, where the general clothing guideline seems to be 'would double as excellent camping attire').

EXACTLY. I'm sure you could pull off the Wendy dress, though, even if you don't get to sew it yourself! It would be super cute.

FOUR CATS. I love cats, but the most we've ever had at a time is one! That's actually really cute, though. I love my cat to no end but I can't even share a bed with him! He ends up smelling my face or sitting on my pillow very close to my head or something, hahaha. I brought my own pillow and blanket to Disney, too! They didn't really help things the first night though. :rotfl:

I've never seen the opening show either. idk why, it's just never on our list? Breakfast food and monorail rides always seem to beat out the welcome show! Also chipper singing that early will sometimes irritate me (especially if I haven't met my morning Mickey Waffle quota!).

For some people it's coffee, for others, it's Mickey waffles. Honestly though, that's the reason that I'd never seen it either, and the reason we DID get to on this day!

Mickey's Christmas Carol is way adorbs, even if the only ways I've ever been exposed to it is the Emporium windows and some random Disney Christmas sing-along video. Scrooge McDuck for everything ever!!

It really is so cute. Scrooge McDuck is AWESOME. I heard that he used to have his own meet and greet at MVMCP. WHY would they eliminate that?!?!

So jealous of your castle pictures :( I need to work on those soooo badly (because my mere five zillion night pictures are NOT ENOUGH. NO WAY).

Aw, why are you jealous? Yours are great, too! AND that reminds me that I need to catch up on your TR, like soon. AH!

Love reading your TR! From what I gather me and you are totally alike in many ways! I look forward to reading more as you update!

Thank you so much! I LOVE having things in common with people haha! I really appreciate you reading and commenting, I hope you'll continue to enjoy it! :goodvibes

Yay, I love the MK show! So cute. Loved your comment about general merriment. I found that funny for some reason but hey, isn't it true?!

Those Mickey t-shirts are so cute! I always see DISers posting about cool stuff they find at Target but why do they never seem to show up around here? Hmm...

As for the comment about Innoventions/park music in general...I got some off of youtube when I made a video for my dad a couple years ago for Christmas. :rolleyes1

ATTENTION!

We interrupt this regularly scheduled Trip Report to bring you:

Exciting News!

It's especially exciting news, if, well, you're me.

Today I found out that this summer, my family will be going back to...

WALT DISNEY WORLD!

:cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Like you didn't see that coming... hahaha but really.

So YEAH. I don't even need to tell you how excited I am, because I'm sure you all already know!

So here's the part I'm ESPECIALLY excited about:

We will be staying at a new resort for us. THAT'S RIGHT. I will get to experience Disney life AWAY FROM that little stretch of Buena Vista Drive!

So since you all know how much I love making you guess...

I want you to guess our resort!

You can already eliminate all the resorts that start in 'All Star.'

It may not be what you'd expect... :rolleyes1

I know, I'm sorry I'm so obnoxious. This is obviously way too much fun for me!

OH, and we'll be arriving JULY 29! So if any of you will be at Disney that week, let me know! :goodvibes

Also, I just want to remind you that you're all really awesome and I appreciate you.

THANK YOU, AND GOODNIGHT!

Continued in Next PTR Update

How exciting!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Okay, I'm going to guess on the resort.

My guess is.....

Beach Club?!? :scratchin

:rolleyes1

Hahaha thank you! It is definitely true! MAGIC KINGDOM ROPE DROP, BABY! :thumbsup2

I know! I was jealous I didn't get one! But I don't do Black Friday shopping so... there's that. I don't know! You'd think that they would have the same merchandise at all the stores, right? :confused3 Hey, maybe you'll get lucky and find something next time you go!

Yeah! I definitely just looked it up on youtube for Jen and yet I didn't remember to say that? So Jen if you see this... ! It's weird but I honestly cannot remember for the life of me where I got the mp3 from!

You know I'm excited about this =) I will let you know ASAP if we will be in the area when you're there!

I'm going to guess Port Orleans, because it's my favorite and I think everybody should stay there.

How exciting!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Okay, I'm going to guess on the resort.

My guess is.....

Beach Club?!? :scratchin

I KNOW!!! YAY!!!

Hehehe thanks for guessing! But since I apparently just love mind games, I'm not gonna say quite yet... :rolleyes1

You know I'm excited about this =) I will let you know ASAP if we will be in the area when you're there!

I'm going to guess Port Orleans, because it's my favorite and I think everybody should stay there.

YOU'RE BACK! :cool1: And yes you should, thank you!

I agree, Port Orleans is beautiful! I want to stay at all the resorts someday! :thumbsup2
