I'm so sorry you weren't feeling well. Getting sick at Disney is so disappointing. Especially during a special party you paid extra for. But at least you got to meet Rapunzel and Flynn! [Sidenote: Did you know that Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas are dating? It's pretty much the cutest thing ever.]

All Star Sports is a cute little hotel. I've never really looked at pictures before, but I like it. I'm a big sports fan, though, so that probably helps.

I'm glad you had a law-abiding bus driver. I feel like all I ever get are bus drivers who quite enjoy living life on the edge. When I drop down to my knees and start kissing the ground outside of the parks, people probably think it's because I love Disney so much, but really, I'm just glad to still be alive.

I haven't seen the 3 o'clock parade in years. It looks really fun. If they really are adding Rapunzel and Flynn, I might have to make it a must-do.

Loved the tour of ASSp, I've never been to any of the value resorts, but they all look so well-themed! Have you seen the photos from Art of Animation? The have done such an incredible job there. Apparently, you'll be able to hear Nemo and his friends when you're underwater at the pool, how cool is that???!?!?

Looking at all your parade photos, I realized we've never gone to that parade at MK. We've passed by it a bunch of times, but we've never stopped to watch for more than a minute or two. It's definitely going on my to-do list for October. Thanks for the motivation!

Exactly! Beauty and the Lion would make for an awkward movie title! I was thinking maybe he was confusing Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King... but I really have no clue! The funny thing is that he did say "the LION from Beauty and the Beast." So he knew the movie title... haha! I just have so many questions that will never be answered.

Thank you! It really is disappointing! Yeah, that was definitely the bright spot of the entire day! I'm basically in love. AND YES. They're officially my favorite couple ever! They went to Disneyland together a couple weeks ago and I want to be best friends with them.

I was pleasantly surprised at how cute it was! Hahaha it MIGHT help that you're a sports fan, because I'm only a half-sports fan. I love GOING to games, but I don't like watching them on TV. Except for the Olympics. I don't know.

Normally I love law-abiding bus drivers! Just not at that particular moment. I would have bargained with her if I'd gotten injured, had she broken the law. I'd probably only have asked for free Disney trips for life, but nothing major. No skin off her back, really. But no, she wanted to drive safely. AT LEAST I GOT TO SEE THE PARADE!

Thank you! It was very weird! I'd seen a lot of people hanging out by (and IN) the pool, and there had been a lot of people in the food court. I guess none of them wanted to go to a park though!

Oh great! I'm glad. I love how they theme the value resorts too! It's adorable. My favorite is All Star Movies! I have a feeling though that once I stay at Art of Animation that it will be my favorite value. You're right, it's incredible! I didn't know about hearing Nemo in the pool! THAT IS AMAZING!

Awesome that yall got to stay in Surf's Up! It's so cute and you're right, the location seems great! The Hoops Hotel was pretty far back, but not too terrible.

It's really cute! I know, I had really wanted Surf's Up too! I was happy with Hoops Hotel though, I mean, I really didn't spend too much time there anyway!

ME TOO! Omg you MUST! I love it! I feel the same way!!! I think it'd be so much fun to be a stepsister because first of all, there's no pressure to be a beautiful princess (which I am not!!! hahah!) and second of all, I feel like I'm pretty good at yelling and being obnoxious(ly funny???), so, win-win!

Seriously though! I have so many questions for him. I think the funniest part was that he was carrying around one of those huge McDonald's cups and he just looked so out of place at the Magic Kingdom. It was like he just said to himself "hmm, Walt Disney World, this looks cool, maybe I'll check it out."

That totally stinks that you were sick at Disney! I think there should be a way to make it so that NO ONE can get sick or hurt at Disney World. I'm so glad that it only lasted for one day though and you were able to enjoy your final full day!

Also, I just wanted to ask...at the beginning of your TR you mentioned that you go to college in TN and I was wondering where. I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD NEXT MONTH!!!!

I mean yeah, it's still 58 days until my trip and I'm basically going at the very end of the month...

BUT, it's still next month!



Okay, so now we have all the obnoxiousness out of the way.

If you haven't read my other 'PTR' posts yet, you can catch them on the first page of the TR in the index under 'SUMMER TRIP UPDATES.'

Basically what they say is that I'm going with my family to Disney this summer and we're staying at Bay Lake Tower!!!!

I am THRILLED to be able to stay there! I can't wait! Not only will it be my first non-value (non-All Star) resort stay, but it's a MAGIC KINGDOM RESORT. And it's ON THE MONORAIL. I spazz out whenever I think about it. I told you I was crazy.

We're staying in a 1-bedroom villa with a view of Bay Lake (I guess the MK views are saved for the DVC people, which is understandable)!

This is supposedly the 'last' family vacation we'll be taking to Disney (but certainly not the last trip for me), so we wanted to do it right! That meant that we had to save a LOT, because BLT is out of our price range. Needless to say, it's been worth it to save because we're SO excited!

So now here's the reason for this 'update':

Have any of you ever stayed at Bay Lake Tower before? I basically want to know ALL about it. Is there anything I should know that I might not know already? Feel free to tell me whatever, I'm very willing to learn anything and everything you want to tell me! (Also feel free to show me pictures if you have them!) This also applies if you've stayed at the Contemporary, since we will be using their transportation and food court and everything!

I appreciate your help in advance!!!

For those of you who haven't stayed at BLT of the Contemporary, I want to hear from you too! What is your favorite Disney resort that you've stayed at? What's your dream Disney resort? I'd love to know!

Also, since I have 58 days until my next trip, I figured I'd keep this thread going until I get back. I hope that's okay with all of you, especially if you're planning to follow that TR as well!

I'll be done with the trip updates by July, I'm sure, but after that I thought I'd do occasional PTR updates similar to this one. I won't go all out and give you a play by play of our plans, because as I'm sure you picked up on by now, I like to keep you guessing.

Basically the future 'PTR' posts will just be a big guessing game. You up for it?

Yay for next month! I know I pretty much just got back but I am getting depressed now seeing everyone with their trip plans. I wish I knew for sure when my next trip is.

But enough whining, LOL...so I haven't stayed at BLT yet (but it's next on my DVC list!) so I can't really comment. My dad, sister, and I did go visit shortly after it opened to see what it was like. It seemed nice but my main thing with the Contemporary is that I don't think the theming is as good as some of the other resorts. Don't get me wrong, I still would love to stay there-I just prefer some of the other resorts. As for my favorite resort ever, it's definitely the Polynesian. Oh man, I just love it there and have SOOOO many memories. I'd love to be able to stay there again some day. All of the DVC resorts I've been to are awesome too. It's really hard to pick a favorite because they're all so different!

I have never stayed at BLT or the Contemporary! Huh, guess I need to sometime!! But I will definitely be visiting it on our trip in June!

My favorite resort would have to be either POFQ (of course ) or the Poly! I just looooove the theming!!! It's just perfect!
