From the Disney Wiki:
Sofia the First is a 3D computer-animated television series that officially premiered with its first half-hour episode on January 11, 2013. The series pilot made its debut on Disney Channel on November 18, 2012 with a one-hour special.

The series follows the adventures of Sofia, a young girl who becomes a princess overnight after her mother marries the king. Sofia tries her best to adapt to her new life being a princess and has her stepbrother and sister James and Amber to help her along with the headmistresses of the Royal Preparatory Academy Flora, Fauna and Merryweather, the Three Good Fairies from Disney’s classic Sleeping Beauty and, when Sofia is at her darkest hours, classic Disney Princesses are there for her whenever Sofia needs help.

Sofia learns that looking like a princess isn't all that hard, but behaving like one must come from the heart. The stories focus on the idea that what makes a real princess is what's on the inside. The show highlights character qualities such as kindness, courage, generosity, loyalty, honesty and grace. Subjects such as sincerity and forgiveness are heavily focused on. She has the magical and incredibly powerful Amulet of Avalor that allows her to talk with animals, shrink, and even turn into a mermaid. However, her amulet is coveted by the sorcerer Cedric, who desires its tremendous magical power to take over the kingdom of Enchancia.

Sophia is voiced by Ariel Winter, who also plays Alex on Modern Family:

Day 26: Ursula

The "Villains Wikia" says ~

Ursula the Sea Witch (simply known as Ursula) is the main antagonist of Disney's 28th full-length animated feature film, The Little Mermaid, and one of the secondary antagonists in Mickey's House of Villains. She is Ariel's arch-nemesis.

She is loosely based upon the sea witch in the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale of the same name.

She was voiced by Pat Carroll (who also voiced Ursula's sister Morgana) in all of her appearances.

History/Origins:
She was once one of the most respected imperial figures in the sea, but by the time the Little Mermaid, Princess Ariel's story, takes place, she is an exiled subject of the King Triton's royal sea court. She was banned from the kingdom of Atlantica after it was rumored that she was trying to overthrow him. When Triton found this to be true, Ursula was forced to live on the abandoned outskirts of the ocean, away from the rest of the Seafolk and the Mer-Civilization. As a way to survive, she took up the skills of dark magic and to secretly spy on Triton and his people via her magic cauldron all in efforts to one day take over his kingdom and become the ruler of the ocean. Ursula made her home in the belly of a giant dead leviathan with her "pet" seaweed-like eels called polyps, which are forever imprisoned into the ground in her underwater "garden" (which is at the entrance of her chambers). The polyps are usually seen crying in agony, hoping others could avoid their fate and even wrapping themselves around the limbs or wrists of new visitors who are interested in making a deal with Ursula (as they did with Ariel, although Ariel managed to get free). Occasionally, they are fed dead fish by Ursula. After Ursula was killed by Prince Eric they were freed from her polyp curse.

And for anyone else who has been thinking of hosting soon, please don't be afraid to volunteer!!! Everyone is nice here. - We don't judge mistakes, and the level of theming is completely up to you - it's not a competition or anything!

For Sunday, I have 258 new minutes (515/620) and we have another team member at "Reward Red" - :rainbow: congrats to sophy1996!!!

Sticking with the letter "U", we have Uma:

uma-descendants2.jpg

"You could stick a tiara on a villain but... you're still a villain." - Uma to Mal

Uma is the daughter of Ursula in the "Disney Descendants" franchise, and is the main antagonist in "Descendants 2." She is played by China Anne McClain.

If you don't know the Descendants story, it involves the imagined offspring of characters from popular Disney movies, centered around Belle and Beast, now married and ruling a new kingdom called Auradon. The villains have been banished to the Isle of the Lost, a slum surrounded by a barrier where magic is suspended.

In the first movie, Belle and Beast's son, Ben, is coming of age to take over the throne and decides his first big action will be to bring four selected teens from the Isle of the Lost to live in Auradon and attend Auradon Prep, in hopes that the new environment will give them a chance to turn good.

Uma stars in the second movie, where she is jealous about not being chosen, and has taken over a leadership role among the young villains on the isle. She plots to break the barrier and let the villains enter Auradon.

And yes, I did watch both movies in preparation (*cough* *cough* excuse) for this thread. :rotfl:
