You Flew All The Way Here With PIXIE DUST?! UD 8/22: Final Thoughts :)

Congrats on being a junior.
BTW, what's the current relationship status. popcorn::

i love Animal Kingdom
i could watch the gorillas alll day!:goodvibes

Mom took like 7 gorilla pictures!

How many does she take of my beloved tigers?

1.

1 picture of a sleeping tiger.

6 pictures of a sleeping gorilla.

Haha, there's just something about those darn gorillas; it is like they're asking for people to take their pictures. :goodvibes

I'm so jealous you got to meet Koda! I love love love him. Very cute pictures and your dad is so funny and awesome to take character pictures.
Congrats on graduating sophomore year Meg! One more day of finals and then one more day of school and I'm officially a senior :scared1:.

Gotcha, just last year seemed like thing were going interestingly in that department. LOL.
Ahh that, yes. He dumped me last September. We've been fighting ever since (it didn't end...pretty).

Now that I'm OFFICIALLY a Junior in High School (eep, two years before college!) I have time to write this TR! :woohoo: :woohoo:

So Day 5 was to be our Animal Kingdom day....There were only a few other families on the AK/BB bus. Everyone was JAMMED onto the EPCOT bus! (We later heard that lines were 2-4 hours there!)

Congratulations, Junior!! :cool1:

Wow! Good call on choice of park!! :crowded:

Thanks! It's so completely mind-boggling. It feels like I just started Jr. High, let alone be halfway done with High School!

We had planned on AK that day, rain or no rain. We'd assumed that the lines for Everest would be hours...

Well...

You'll see ;)

Day 5--Animal Kingdom--Part 2: An Asian Expedenture!

After our African Adventures, we went onwards towards our Asian Expedenture!

Everest:

Love this one:

This was our first time on Everest. Oh my goodness, it is SO much fun! The view at the top was to die for (although it was cloudy). Here we are (back two rows):

disney2008122.jpg

Of course, we HAD to go back on with a FIVE MINUTE WAIT! Did I mention our previous ride had a five minute wait, too? Oh yeah! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Back two rows to ourselves:

We went on Kali next. And would you be surprised if I said none of us got wet? I probably got wetter in the rain that would come later today!

We went on a Majarajah Jungle Trek next. I love the tigers, but the bats creep me out.

(Don'tcha wanna pick him up and cuddle him?)

We left Asia, and continued onwards towards Dinoland U.S.A.

It wasn't even 11, and we've done two trails, Everest twice, Kali, AND the Safari. Booyah. :cool2:

Leaving Asia:

We were able to catch the next viewing of Finding Nemo: The Musical. I adore musicals, of any sort, any kind, anywhere. This show was very cute; loved the bubbles! Afterwards, we went aboard Primeval Whirl (which is getting a bit rougher than I remembered...ouch) and Dinosaur.

Would you believed Dinosaur was the longest wait of the day, at about 15 minutes? Not even.

Close-up. I love how un-petrified we all look:

We stopped for lunch at Flame Tree Barbecue. The Disney Voice informed us that the park would be closing a couple hours earlier that night due to Faye, and that the parade was in a little while. Flame Tree was okay, nothing too special. We staked out parade seats. It was our first time seeing the Jammin' Jungle Parade!

It was raining (and I mean RAINING! POURING!) this whole time, but it was very much worth it. This is my new favorite parade, and I loved the music!

*I should mention that I also bought the Finding Nemo: The Musical soundtrack off iTunes...the dork I am!*

Up Next:

FOTLK
Buggy Friends

 (Booyah)

I see that hurricanes have their good points, too!!

We haven't seen Jammin' Jungle Parade in several years... we'll have to make an effort to fit it in this time...

:rotfl:

Oh, definately see the parade! I'm sure Billy would like it, lots of colors and such. It's not too loud, because it's such a dispersed area, and there's no scary characters.

Report Cards came today!

English II H: B-
Child Development: B+
Health: A+
Spanish III H: A
Geometry: C+ (the clinker)
Chemistry I H: A+ (OH MY GOD!!!)
U.S. History H: B

An A+ in Chemistry! Oh my goodness! :yay: :yay: :dance3: All that studying and extra credit paid off!

My G.P.A. ended up as 4.34 (this is out of a 6.0; honors is raised for everything, ie a B+ counts as an A+ in regular classes, etc).

My best friend had IM'd me and said "hey, check the mail, report cards came. What did you get in Chem?" (we had been in the same class, and she helped me a LOT). And there it was!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Fantastic job, Meg!! I'm glad your hard work in Chemistry paid off! :thumbsup2

Great way to start the summer!!

Thank you!

I must've done well on the final, or my cum. grade would not have been a B-. You need a B- cum. or above to stay in the honors program (thus my C cum. in Algebra 2 being my demise for Honors math...). So it's off to Physics Honors for me! :yay: :yay:
