Wholeheartedly agree! Serene, beautiful, plenty of great restaurants that aren't overpriced, best CMs in all of Disney, and plenty to do year round on the island. I'll do you one better: the GV in Building 18 as it's the only GV with a water view.
For resort alone I’m going with Aulani. That resort was the reason for my DVC journey. Love everything about Aulani. While I love VGF and RIV, I can’t think of a better DVC resort than Aulani (in my view) and would be happy staying there the rest of my life.
I wanted to say Aulani because of the resort but I couldn't/wouldnt live on Oahu sadly. So Im still team VGC. I feel like I could love VB or HHI but I havent been yet
I have to give some love to BLT. Even without a theme park view we can go up to the walkway to watch the fireworks without fighting the MK crowd. Plus easy access to 2 other hotel restaurants by monorail and 2 by boat. The extra bathroom in the larger units is also extremely important to our family!
Assuming the resort stays as it is today (meaning ignoring menu changes and refurbishments etc) my heart belongs to Copper Creek. Despite some drawbacks no other resort quite feels like home. Plus Whispering Canyon is probably our fav restaurant on property.
No contest - we're staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge with a savanna view. We could live there with the view and the food options - we'd hardly ever have to leave!
This is a very difficult question! So many wonderful resorts…..
But BRV would have to be the winner. My stress level goes down as soon as we enter the lobby and it pretty much stays that way the whole trip. We love the ease of heading out the “back door” of the BRV building to get to the pool. And lunch at Geyser Point is a must-do for every trip.

Looks like there'll be a few of us at HHI, but I won't fight you for a GV (never been in one). We'd be in a 1 Bedroom in the Main Lodge. I agree that the GV in Building 18 has an awesome view, but for the 1 Bedroom in that building, it's on the first floor and not too quiet.
