You can only stay at 1 DVC resort for the rest of your life. What are you picking?

Looks like there'll be a few of us at HHI, but I won't fight you for a GV (never been in one). We'd be in a 1 Bedroom in the Main Lodge. I agree that the GV in Building 18 has an awesome view, but for the 1 Bedroom in that building, it's on the first floor and not too quiet.
I can't wait to go here

VGF I think... 4 restaurants, my favorite bar, boats, a nice place to walk...

or VB... looking at the ocean every day, so peaceful and tranquil...

If not there, maybe OKW... big rooms, very peaceful, close to golf

DD finally committed sort of. She was team VGF until she saw the new lobby redo and she does not like the bar in the lobby. Then she said Poly but I think she is just mad about the bar in the middle of the lobby. Especially the impact on the holiday decorations.

Not a fan of the colors either, I like the Victorian white colors and I'm not a drinker so that bar does nothing for us. Do you know when its supposed to be completed? Hopefully we will get to experience it one last time before

SSR. I like to stay at other resorts from time to time. But we always go back to SSR. Although it's not close to the TPs, it has proximity to DS, and I like the easy access to things outside WDW with a car. Additionally, I like the secluded Treehouse option.

1. My choice is Old Key West.
2. I have been a Concierge at most DVCs.

PROS:
. . . largest rooms of any DVC resort
. . . lots of pools throughout the sections/neighborhoods
. . . good sauna near main pool
. . .. exercise room well equipped with devices
. . . internal bus system service is frequent
. . . parking near your building
. . . bars are easy to find
. . . bellmen available 24/7

CONS:
. . . Most buildings are 3-stories, accessible ONLY by stairs.
. . . Only two buildings have elevators
. . . Very big and spread out
. . . main restaurant has a good breakfast
. . . main restaurant has a poor-to-fair lunch & dinner

NOTE:
Unless your luggage is small and few pieces, have Bellmen deliver to room.
Rooms can be on 2nd or 3rd floor and tough to haul luggage upstairs by yourself.

I've never stayed in one but I've inspected them dozens of times and delivered firewood to the guests numerous times, as well. Agree about the 1BR underneath, however. I always recommend those looking for 1BR at HHI to avoid those five situated under a GV.
I can't wait to go here
I own at two other resorts, have stayed in all of them save for Aulani and, oddly enough, BWV, but would be most content at HHI. So close to so many things re: dining, activities, nature, arts, that it feels so very homey. You should go and find out for yourself. pirate:

They are suppose to start work on Monday April 14th. Here's hoping it is smaller than I think and that the picture they released is darker than it will end up. We were nervous about the Mary Poppins redo and it turned out we really like it so I am going to be optimistic about this until I see it in person.

I'm sure it will be beautiful and even better than before 😀 Love Mary Poppins too ❤️

Every recent DVC refurb they've done i've loved, except Grand Californian, i think they could have put more effort in that one.

I feel like they're going all out for the flagship resort!

I hope you are right.

If I was able to come and go to the parks, I would say BWV. If no parks were involved, it would be a toss-up between AKV and BR. I love the RIV, but the food options are better at WL and AKL.

For me, this really isn't close. Aulani is heads and shoulders better than any other DVC property. For West Coast, VGC is up there too.

If we are just considering WDW, I'll throw a curve ball and say that our current favorite is CFW. Say what you want about the dues/pricing/other issues, but the cabins themselves and FW are absolutely beautiful and an amazing way to spend a week.
