Yorkshire Fish n' Chips change??

Had them last week and thought it was great! Granted it was the first time we had eaten there but we loved it and it went great with my Bass Ale.
My wife even said it was her favorite counter service meal we had in our 8 day trip.

Hey, they serve Bass Ale at the Yorkshire Fish Shop? I am not paying
enough attention! I can't wait to go back and have one with my fish and chips!:rotfl2:

They do but I got mine from the beer cart next to the Rose and Crown so I could get the souvenier cup. When I got back from the cart my wife and kiddo had already eaten all of thier food so it must have been good.

Hey all! Just back from my trip to the world and I have to say I was very nervous to try it. The first thing I noticed was that the fish portions were bigger than they had been in recent trips. Back to the size they were a couple of years ago. There is a slight difference in the breading, but it was still good!! I was really happy!

I had finally gotten in touch with the woman that had called me about my email and she seemed to have the same thought as me "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". She did say to absolutely complain face-to-face with a manager when we are not happy with our food. Don't just pay for it and then go online and complain. I am definitely going to do that from now on. She said that's where you make the difference.

So if anyone else was nervous about the fish - don't be. I thought it was great and will still keep it as my traditional first meal at Disney!!:thumbsup2

Thanks Susan. I appreciate your on the street reporting! I do love the fish and chips! But I won't pay for $3 of green peas again! When the servers asked if I would like it, I said yes not realizing it was $3 extra for a scoop of le Seurs peas!! Ack!

This is the most frightening speculation I have seen yet. I would never choose to spend my money on a chain restaurant at WDW...including the ones that have already infiltrated, like Rainforest Cafe.

I so totally agree with this. While I agree that the quality of food has gone downhill, there are still a few finds and surprises out there. We like to eat at Disney because we can find food that is different than what we get at home. I tend to avoid chain food like the plague on any trip away from home.

Thanks for the update! I am glad to hear that you did enjoy the meal. I used to love their fish and was worried from the reviews that I have been reading. I wish they would have left it alone, but I am willing to give the new version a try now when we go on our next trip in May.
