yogurt:is that term offensive?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Or how about Poptarts? Think about it! Seems pretty offensive to me!

OMG!!! I can't believe the boards didn't *** your title!!! I am sending them a PM!!!

Good grief! There are children who read this board!

I personally think a lot of plumbing terms are quite offensive: ballcock, flapper, s-curve, plunger, etc. :rotfl:

Female and male connectors!!! :earseek:

Nah.

Now, LADIES eating YOGURT from a SOAP DISH would be offensive!! :rotfl2:

Not offensive to me, but Pop Daddy might think differently. Geez! Can't we all be nice to each other here! Why do we gotta hate?

You know MamaLema, you just really crossed the line with soap dish. i thought this was a fun board and you have to go ruin it with your vile words.

:)

1 - I always thought "poptarts" referred to people like Brittany Spears... :confused3 ;)

2 - Posting threads to make fun of or take shots at another poster usually isn't looked at real kindly around here. While the "this happened at work" part of the thread you're referring to may or may not have happened (I'm not questioner and have no reason to trust or mistrust his/her posts), the question is actually a good one, as I know people who are offended by terms such as "girls" when referring to groups of women.

Just sayin'....

Sorry if you took it the wrong way. That wasn't my intention

Oh, I didn't. I've just seen threads like this get locked a few times, so I thought I'd mention it.

My feminist friends say that anyone who menstruates is a 'woman' and not a 'girl'. Calling them 'girls' demeans them . . .

:rolleyes1

I've heard this too, Deb!! I always take issue with that, since my mother was 9 when she started menstruating. HARDLY a woman. I certainly wasn't a woman at 12, either.
I still don't like being called a "woman," even though I'm almost 33. I still feel like a teenager and don't think of myself as a "woman" really. I guess I feel confident enough in myself not to be demeaned by something this trivial. Anyway, I will always call myself a girl--I'll be the oldest girl in the nursing home. :teeth:

Which is why I said that questioner's question wasn't really out of line. ::yes::

The most feminist woman I know was most offended by the word "chick". Not sure how she felt about the words "ladies" or "girls". :teeth:

There is no question that Pop Daddy would love to have a Pop Tart and would not think that she, I mean it, is the least bit offensive! :rotfl:

Uh oh. I'd better start asking girls whether they've had their first cycle. I'm sure they won't find that offensive. :rotfl:
