Ya know...I used to really enjoy the gymnastics...but, now those girls are younger than my kids....I cant bring myself to watch anymore! At least the VB girls are old enough to have fake IDs!

You are supposed to be 16 to be able to compete. Some of the Chinese girls are clearly younger than that !! There are many articles going around right now about the fact that China forged their passports (the only thing they need to prove their age).

Did you also read this story...I think it's so sad...the little girl who was really singing should've had the honor of performing for the world.

Don't ya know that girls in China have no value? No one in that country would even think about the little girl's psyche and how this effected her. Too bad. China has a long way to go in human rights. If anyone gets a chance, they should try and get a copy of Ted Koppel's 4 part segment on China. It's a real eye opener.

Don't worry, it probably doesn't exist. We've hit several of these of Craigslist. When you email the seller he will tell you he is in the military, and is being sent to Iraq. He has to sell in a hurry and will give free transport anywhere in the US, and his price is about 1/3 of book value. The catch, all this is being done through a 3rd party, and you have to pay the invoice before laying eyes on the trailer. They all seem to be for that same price.

Your basic scam. By the time you are sure they are bogus they have already cashed the check.

A shame, too. A 30' foot Wildwood is just what I am looking for.

Ya know.... you're probably right - and I should know better. When laptop's first came out my DH got scammed by a guy in Orlando. We lost $2300 on that one - at that time $2300 was half the price for a laptop. The Credit Union could not help because the cashier's check was cashed at someplace
similar to an Amscot & due to some obscure law, their hands were tied in trying to get the money back. We turned it over to the FBI & never heard another thing. Live and learn.

Hey Ami....did you go see the movie Mamma Mia ?? I thought it might be something you would go see. I love musicals and we are involved in community theater and I remember reading that you were too. I hadn't seen the show on stage, but my friends and I went to see the movie last weekend. We had a fun time and I loved the music. Maybe not the *best* singing, lol...but it was a fun movie.

Thanks for thinking of me! I love theatre! My cousin, who lives very close NYC, has seen this on Broadway and says it's fabulous on stage. I haven't seen it yet, but it's coming to the local drive-in this weekend so it's on the to-do list!

You know, my mom has been selling on Craigslist a good bit lately and all sorts of people try to scam her. She checks their ip address and finds that its routed through somewhere. They tell her they are sending her a check for like $20,000 when her item may only $1000. They tell her to deposit it and send a check for the rest. Crazy!

That really sucks. I was explaining the whole foot binding thing to my DD12 the other day. China is a testament to the strength and endurance of women!
