You know..I think I like WL more because it ISN"T a monorail resort. Just takes it down a notch. While the Poly has a nice laid back feel to it...the idea of the monorail was never a consideration for us. It can be a hike to get to it, depending on where your long house is located anyway. We found ourselves taking the water launch to the MK, when we stayed there, and didn't have to deal with the monorail crowds. I like the water launch from the WL to the MK...such a nice liesurely way to reach the MK..and no, I don't mind when it stops at the Fort either. I rather enjoy it. I don't know why people are in such a rush, when it's supposed to be their vacation.

I think my dad will like the water launch, too. Especially if his 7 grandkids will NOT be on it with him! :lmao:

I'm surprised you hadn't stayed there when it was the "Disney Inn" years ago, before it became SOG. The rooms are quite large..they used to have a sitting area and two queen beds. We had been to the golf course there once, and they had a warning out for aligators.:faint: We left. They used to have the topiaries of the seven dwarfs back then. Not sure what it's like now..but was very quaint at the time. This was in the mid 90's.

Oh wait, that's the Disney Inn??? lol, I had no idea, we did stay there once when I was much younger, we were on our way back from a long summer trip and decided to stop at Disney. I had no idea that was what Shades of Green is now.

Yea, those rooms were HUGE!!!!

Ive heard stories....Ive watched people bait him...Ive watched him drown in his own ego..........Ive seen him make a fool of himself and not even know it, but now......NOW...it all makes sence. He REALLY is as arrogant and disconnected from reality as you've all said. Ya wont see me defend him again!!!

Rog, who in the heck are you talking about??? lol

but sometimes, you can't save a man from himself either.

Are you REALLY going to stay at the GF over labor day weekend???? That place is like a kazillion $$$$'s!!! You got rich relatives or just a really, really great paying job??? (Need an assistant or a cuzzin:laughing:?)

LOL I've been blessed. I own my own business for the last 20+ yrs. If I needed a assistant Deb, you'd be the first one I'd call. I love your sense of humor and sharp wit. You have spunk and must be a hoot to be around. :worship:

But anyway to answer your question, Yes my wife wants to spend Labor Day at the GF. I suggested the Fort but she got our 4 kids on her side so I was out voted. :confused3

Thanks for including me and making me feel a small part of the group.

P.S. please don't fart in my general direction. :rotfl2: That one cracks me up.

Regards
Kevin

The buildings didn't move...so why wouldn't you have figured that one out? When Disney Inn became SoG in 1994, they simply changed the sign out front. No major remodeling was done until 2003. The rooms at the Disney Inn were the same as those at the Poly & CR-Main Building. Just different theming - no bigger or smaller. I've stayed at all 3 resorts. They were all the same "cookie cutter" designs. Just like WL, GF & AKL are all basically the same buildings, just themed differently.

Maybe Kevin would be so kind as to take pictures of his room at the GF and post them when he does his Labor Day trip report. I'd love to see the decor in those rooms. TIA, Kev!

Deb, I'll be happy to post a pic of the room. A funny story, during our Christmans trip to WDW me and my wife went to the GF and my wife wanted to see what the rooms were like. They showed us a suite where the stars stay. Let's just say we were vey inpressed. I don't know who they thought we were. We were both wearing shorts and tennis shoes.

Let's just say we're not staying in that room. But I will show you what standard rooms look like.

Pete is a great guy, I am not biased because I am lucky enough to have him as my husband!!!
